Received my order in a very timely manner. I was looking on line for instructions on the construction of a french mattress style cushion, for a banquette my Husband built for our kitchen. Loved the look, but had no clue how to start. That is when I came across the Sailrite site. I am so glad I did. They show exactly, with step by step directions, how to make these lovely cushions, including a genius way to make stuffing them so much easier. Thank you Sailrite! I feel confident I can do this, and they will look great. Ready to open package up, and get started this weekend.

Sailrite's website is so easy to use and has so much great information, not only on products but also all of the how-to videos and guides. Their customer service is the best, too! Very responsive, professional and instructive. I have now purchased 2 sewing machines and made major projects for 3 boats. I never would have been able to tackle half of them without Sailrite!

A sewing customer came to needing the zippers in her UTV soft top replace. I accidentally got the wrong thing. It cost me postage twice. Then between my ordering the first time and returning the products, some jerk stole my credit card information. This outfit issued me a gift certificate for the money I spent no including the postage both ways instead of giving me my money back. So, if you order anything from this business make absolutely sure that you are getting the right thing as you will most likely not get your money back and you surely will not be compensated for your postage to & from them. I definitely would not recommend this business to anyone.
We have been purchasing from Sailrite for several years, spending a considerable amount of money on sewing machines, tools, fabrics, notions, etc. Apparently, Sailrite's ego grew too much and too fast, forgetting that customer service is key to their success.
Today, we placed an order #******* and contacted Sailrite within approximately 10 minutes, expressing our need to either cancel the order and make a new one or add to our existing order to avoid double shipping charges. Sailrite refused to do so. When asked why they could not void our credit card charge and cancel the order as they did so many times previously when we needed to increase an order, they repeatedly said, 'No, we will not do it.' Being a manufacturer ourselves and dealing with customers and credit card charges every day, we are offended and perplexed by Sailrite's conduct and attitude toward existing customers.
Surely, we will never purchase from Sailrite again. Sailrite should remember that it is not the only game in town and that customer loyalty is as important as ever for sustaining and growing a business.
I ordered some Press-N-Snap replacement parts (a very small order) in August 2022. I used the Sailrite website and received an order confirmation. Several days later, I sent a follow-up email and asked where my order was. I received one email from Sailrite, but never heard anything back about the status of the order. Several months later, I emailed Sailrite again and asked where my order was. This time they did some research and said since it was past 120 days, they could not send me a replacement order. This was particularly upsetting, since I HAD contacted them during the 120 days, but never heard anything back. This was just a small, first-time order, but the way it was handled was extremely unprofessional. There is no way I will ever do business with this company again.
Was about to order fabric from Sailrite but decided to give them a call in advance to make sure my fabric was sent rolled and not folded. I needed to order 2 yards and they assured me that anything over a yard would be rolled. Well, I received my fabric folded in a 12x14 plastic envelope. Reached out to customer service to replace the fabric and their solution was to refund the shipping cost and for me to work out the folds on my own with a wet cloth and iron. I even sent pictures on what I was using the material for and why it was important it not be creased. Not the product I intended to get. They should honor their word by replacing it shipped rolled as I was told in the first place.
So happy I found these. The aluminum ones at Amazon are so flimsy but these really hold up well through daily wearing. I wish they were a little wider for people with flatter noses, though. I just placed my second order!
I was very sad and a bit perturbed to have the zipper pull for the main zip on my much beloved, lightly worn and expensive to replace Gore-Tex jacket crumble in my hand a couple of months ago, just before the winter rain really started coming down here in the Bay Area. I looked at sending the jacket back to the manufacturer for repair under warranty but it would have meant being without it potentially for weeks when I needed it most. In searching Google for some kind of temporary hack, I found you (thanks Patagonia!) and could hardly believe, on visiting your site and watching a how-to video, that the perfect repair could be done in just a few minutes for a couple of bucks. I ordered 2 extra zipper pulls (exact replacement of the original) just to be prepared for future mishaps, and after speedy delivery and about 5 minutes of my time, my jacket is like new again. Thank you, Sailrite!
Was sewing with slippery velvet and kept having the fabric slip while sewing cushions. After ripping apart the cushion 3 times, I tried seam stitch and had it sew perfectly - can't recommend this product enough!
Shipment has been 17 days out with USPS first class mail. Last tracking was almost two weeks ago from 4 hrs away by highway. Nothing since. I have communicated several times with them but it is obviously lost. Bad customer service. Will never do business with the again. I have started a PayPal dispute. I needed the parts and ordered from a different vendor from further away and have already received my parts.
Great company! They ship quickly. Thier products are good quality and affordable prices. I have bought several products from they and have been happy with everything I have purchased. My favorite being the hole punch drill attachment. It cuts perfect holes through 2 layers of nylon webbing in seconds! It cut my production time by 75%.
Very happy customer, I was able to order everything required for my jobs, all from the same place, and have it delivered in under 4 days! The quality of the products is outstanding and I will be sure to shop again for my future marine sewing jobs.
The Twist Lock components and tools arrived quickly. I chose the oversized metal and plastic washers, which are not offered in kit form with the cloth to surface set 5/8" stud, so I had to order everything separately. The Sailrite website is excellent, even stating, "you may also like...", but being new to Sailrite and unfamiliar with turn fastener components, I omitted the associated fastener eyelets. I just ordered them with 2 day shipping, which costs three times the cost of the eyelets! Learned from my error.
I started my upholstery business last June. Since then, I've called Sailrite with questions about their products, and they've been an amazing source of help. They know this products well, and will make sure you get the answers you need! I own the long nose staple gun, which is fantastic quality, and order their supplies regularly. They have a wealth of knowledge about boat and residential upholstery, and share that in their well explained You tube videos. Thank you, Sailrite for what you bring to the industry!
If you happen to make a mistake on your order... forget it. No way to change online or by calling the company.
All I wanted to do was change order, but was told no, had to order twice at $75 extra shipping fee only to see that both orders went out at exactly the same time. You got my money once but why twice... never again and web site looks like such a personal CO.
Hi Brent, I will need the order number(s) to look into this for you but I wanted to clarify our process. We do change and add to orders all the time. But if an order is already in the picked or shipped stage our customer service people cannot make changes to that order since it is already through the warehouse. When this happens and a second order is then placed on the same day it does appear that both shipped at the same time since they will be picked up by the FedEx truck on the same day. So the point in time of not being able to change an order is once it is picked in the warehouse. Prior to that we can alter the order in any number of ways. I hope this makes sense. Products are exactly as advertised, and very useful. There was a minor issue with one item; I contacted customer service, got a response within a few hours (on a weekend, no less!) and a replacement was sent the next day. Will definitely buy from these folks again.
