Ryobi enjoys a mixed reputation among its customers, with notable strengths in product quality and versatility. Many users appreciate the performance and ease of use of their tools, particularly battery-operated lawn equipment, which is praised for its efficiency and lightweight design. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly related to warranty claims, service delays, and difficulties in obtaining replacement parts. Complaints about inadequate support and communication suggest a need for improvement in customer relations. Overall, while Ryobi has a loyal customer base, enhancing service responsiveness could bolster its reputation further.

My wife wanted some tools to work around the yard and we found these at Home Depot. Great price too!
Purchased several hundred dollars in ryobi tools,
1. Circular saw motor started smoking the first day cutting thin wood paneling
2. Impact driver fell apart, the locking mechanism fell off.
3. Took both tools to Home Depot for warranty and was charged a fee of over $30 for each tool or you couldn't drop it off.
4. A few weeks later after calling Home Depot for an update, the tools are still just sitting around. The person that does the repairs only works 2 days a week for a few hours.
5. Contacted Ryobi Chat, was told they have up to 90 days? They must assume people don't need to use the tools.
6. Now I need to purchase new tools, I will never buy anything Ryobi makes again, I'll use them till they stop working and replace then with a different brand that has a better warranty program, maybe Rigid.

I went down to my local Home Depot to purchase the 3 "High Performance" battery bundle which includes a 2ah battery, a 4ah battery and a 6ah battery plus a charger and a carry bag. I certainly did not need yet another charger nor the bag but, the price was right and after doing some math it was a pretty good deal. Now... with this purchase I was entitled to receive a free tool that I could choose from a predetermined list. I chose the 1/4 inch ratchet because I thought it would be a handy tool to add to my arsenal. As it turned out my Home Depot did not have one in stock.(imagine that). So with battery bundle in hand I sauntered over to the dreaded SERVICE DESK. There I explained my dilemma to the clerk and she said that there was nothing she could do. They did however have a 3/8 inch ratchet in stock and it was $10.00 less than the 1/4 inch one. I asked if she could substitute the 3/8 inch ratchet for the more expensive 1/4 inch ratchet. She just shook her head no. No sorry, no let ask my Manager, nothing... just no. Long story short I love my Ryobi tools (and I have many) but, it's The Home Depot that I detest. I did end up with a cordless rotary tool that I do not need so I will give that to my son. Sorry for the rant.
I have just went to my garage and counted 14 Ryobi tools 4 batters and 6 chargers, the one i like best is my little chain saw, but all the tools work great.
Great tools scandid'nt work had to use chat. This was really time consuming. Please work on this problem
1. Ryobi sprayer cap has broken twice and now the handle has cracked and leaks... on an item only used 4 times.
2. Ryobi lawn mower... only used 7 times last year; less than 1 year old. Just died. Starts runs 1 minute and dies. Tech says known issue... take it to local Home Depot to fix. If they can't repair it, they ship it back to factory for repair. Local guy says he can fix it same day. It's been at HomeDepot for 4 days and now they say the repair guy is off for next 3 days and no one can tell us if or when our mower will be repaired or even where it is, no status, no info, nothing! Now corporate is saying it'll be 3-4 weeks when/if home depot sends it back to them!? Sorry but my grass has not stopped growing and I'd like to at least know what the status is! NO more ryobi or Home Depot.
Son muy gentiles y cooperadores con el cliente y buen servicio tienen un buen horario de apertura y se puede trabaja temprano
Very compact, handles easily and fits in garden shed not taking up alot of room. It cuts grass just like bigger mower but maneuvers easily around the lawn. Battery lasts quite some time so was able to get lawn completely finished before running out of power. I also like that I can carry it easily with out strain.
Love it
Hi
I'm 60 yrs young, I could not believe how easy it was to put together,
And after being done there was no extra parts Awsome
It is smooth to operate and very light with the self propelled Wow.
Just purchased the 2900 power washer so far I'm satisfied easy to load on truck my old $#*! is 63 and it's not heavy, very powerful, jury use still out on hose, but so far so good
Looking for a tiller to fit my weed eater. Finally found ryobi tiller and it works perfectly. Actually I haven't used it yet, weather has been bad. But looks good and I am sure it will do fine.
I have been a loyal customer for years and love or loved all of my ryobi purchases in the past including maybe 30 tools. Ever since the switch to brushless on the impact drivers the life span has been cut in half and they get almost to hot to change the bits or adapters. I have had a total of atleast four of the newer models including the HP version and they are not improving, unfortuanately i will likely change brands atleaast for this particular tool.
My karcher power washer wouldnt start on saturday when i wanted to get outside work done. This was my second one i had so, time for something different. I have other ryobi tools and like how they performed so decided to try this 1800 psi washer. Good thing i did, much supperior to karcher, lighter weight, easier to switch washer heads, much more power for those stubborn stains., smaller and compact for storage.im so glad i made the switch to ryobi, u will be too.
I just love my Ryobi tools here at Lake Obabika Lodge, as the always provided me with ease of doing our daily work, way to go Ryobi, keep up the good Quality tools being on the market today.
During the Summer Period, we use these tools daily, and trust me when I say they are most dependable, my Lodge workers use then on daily basis.

This saw is exactly what I needed to cut all my skids, and other wood products. It is very light, and easy to use, while not being too hard on my wrist. It cuts through wood like butter, and can't wait to try it on plastic, or metal. Another winner for Ryobi, at a great price.
Bought a Ryobi variable speed corded drill from Home Depot today, 5.5 amp, 1/16-3/8, to operate a hole saw. The unit is powerful and comes in a neat little tool bag weighing 2.86 pounds and has a quad length of 6 feet. It did the job in no time. Highly recommend this unit for all kind of jobs involving a drill. Not to mention that it is very fairly priced.
I bought a lawn mower it was really good I liked it it was 3 mods and is 21 inches I got a trimmer also
Two days ago I got ry******* pressure washer shipped to me since I live on an island with no cars and I am a disabled vet so I order things to be shipped to me. Well anyway on the back of motor there is a 5 or 10 dollar black plastic cover covering fan, and is held in by 4 tiny screws. Well after being bounced around to 10 different people, they all keep saying you have to take it in or send the motor in. I am not a Genius, but they want my brand new pressure washer of mine (without) plastic part & then they want to send me back a brand new motor (with) plastic part. Okay now if we both have brand new motors theirs would still be minus that cover, wouldn't it just make sense to just unscrew 4 tiny bolts on the cover they have and send me the part. Because even if we switch both brand new engines they still are going to end up with a motor with no black cover on the back of motor.
I Love this mower! I bought this mower for my Daughters birthday present. Years ago I purchased a small Ryobi trimmer for her and recently upgraded to another Ryobi trimmer (more powerful). Satisfied with both purchases I decided to buy the Ryobi 40vs self prop for her birthday this year. However, before giving it to her I decided to try it out on my yards. PERFECT! This mower is light, not too loud and does a beautiful job. I cut both front and back and still had power. I might add that I am 79 years old and using this unit was no effort. Pleased and impressed I'm going to buy another Ryobi 40vs for myself. I shopped at the Home Depot on Windsor Hill in San Antonio, Tx *******, 5/07/22. Your sales rep was wonderful ( can't remember her name -- young girl full of knowledge and happy to help. Receipt number **************. Thank you. Carolyn Haag *******@yahoo.
I am a 70 year woman who does our yard work.
My children purchased the cordless leaf blower for me
When I first used it I pushed the turbo button and cleared half our front yard of leaves in seconds!
Great power, not too heavy for seniors to manage and wide blower range.
Very happy with this product and definitely will recommend and purchase more if your products!
Answer: I own 2 chain saws, 18" bar and 14"bar, both run excellent, I have cleared a lot of trees over the last several years on property up north, thank you
Answer: Yes, call Ryobi's 800 number. They will send a replacement. The same thing happened to me.
