Ryobi enjoys a mixed reputation among its customers, with notable strengths in product quality and versatility. Many users appreciate the performance and ease of use of their tools, particularly battery-operated lawn equipment, which is praised for its efficiency and lightweight design. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly related to warranty claims, service delays, and difficulties in obtaining replacement parts. Complaints about inadequate support and communication suggest a need for improvement in customer relations. Overall, while Ryobi has a loyal customer base, enhancing service responsiveness could bolster its reputation further.

I bought a new Ryobi push mower. Love the speed with which the battery charges and how long the battery lasts. Hate that I cannot use my mower because it came defective and will take a minimum of 8 weeks to "evaluate" and several more weeks to "order parts". So I have no recourse and no mower. I will pay more for someone to mow my lawn while I wait for my new mower to be repaired than I paid for the new mower. Ryobi products have been good so far but if you encounter a problem, you are stuck.
-purchased early spring on sale; first used June.
Weed eater broke 3rd time using it. Called ryobi and was told to take it to repair center that they said take it to. 30 miles there and they don't repair it, they ship it to Atlanta for repairs and charged me $30. Almost 9 weeks later and still can't get any status on it. JUNK all the way around.
I own many cordless 40v Ryobi tools, lawnmower, trimmer, leaf blower, snow blower... and I have absolutely zero complaints. I would recommend Ryobi products to anyone unsure of which brand to buy. Makes yard work much easier. Thankyou Ryobi!
I have a 40 volt weed eater, the strings break as they always seem to. So we purchased a ryobi plastic blade device to replace it. It broke the first day, I thought perhaps it was something I did, purchased another. It also broke in in the same place. Next day they battery died. 189.00 for a new battery or 169.00 for a whole new trimmer. I'll go back to the dewalt that never has failed me
I own a remodeling business and I use many different Ryobi tools daily. Great tools. Very powerful. Batteries last a long time. Plus Ryobi offers such a variety of tools helpful for any project we are working on. I highly recommend Ryobi to fellow contractor or diyers. Plus they are sold at all home Depot stores. And they are bringing out new tools all the time. I currently own about 20 Ryobi products and I intend to buy more.
Cuts what I want too, should have got a longer lasting battery. Easy to handle and just the length I needed. I can not load a photo.
These tools are a great deal and work very well, i highly recommend any of these products for home or work i do both, i have been a millwright for 37 years and have had alot of tools in my hands, i have droped them and beat them up pretty hard they just get old and worn my kids got me a set for fathers day along time ago back when they were blue, and they still work fine every day... As the family handyman you need good tools Ryobi fills the bill. The family thanks you. You can never have enough tools for handling home repairs and improvements and Ryobi makes the job easier and better quality.
They don't stand behind their products! KEEP your receipts or they WON'T help you! Expensive and NOT worth it! If I could give 0 I would!
I purchased a Ryobi backpack leaf blower 10 months ago. The throttle cable broke 2 weeks ago. I was told by Ryobi customer service that they could not send me a replacement cable. This would need to be installed by a Home Depot service department. I have since been told that there are NO replacement parts available and that Home Depot needs to send the blower to Ryobi. They will then re-inspect the leaf blower and then send a new leaf blower to Home Depot. I will be called when it arrives, in MAYBE 4 weeks. The simple solution would be for Home Depot to replace it from their inventory or for Ryobi to reimburse me. I am not confident that this will be satisfactorily resolved anytime soon.
Great Tools. I purchased my wife a blower and weed trimmer a year ago due to me having knee replacement so she could help keep things done around the house. Since that time we both have just fell in love with the product, purchasing additional batteries, hedge trimmers, buffers etc. This not only gives her ownership of tools but keeps her from getting my heavy man tools out. Great products and HD stands behind them with warranty replacements, She now goes down the Ryobi Isle at HD now making a wish list. Now I know why my dad purchased ryobi tools...
Just purchased a Ryobi 40V weed trimmer and am unable to get it registered. Even the chat service is completely moronic. The automated robot responses are completely irrelevant and the "human agent" is worse. I really hope the trimmer is better. I will NOT be purchasing Ryobi products in the future.
I have been buying Ryobi cordless power tools including lawn tools like grass trimmers and for the most part have been a great value... BUT when the time comes to service one all I can say is pack a lunch or a tent and be prepared to travel... I live near Burlington and the Ryobi rep for Home Depot Burlington just told me I had to travel to St Catherines or Toronto for repairs... so I called non affiliated local repair shops and they said they couldnt get Ryobi parts... so today is the last day as I move to a brand that is supported locally.
I bought the 10" saw for a project. Greatest buy. Will come back To Ryobi for my tools from now on. Great Tool
A friend told me about his ryobi tire inflator that he really enjoys using. I went to home depot and bought ryobi 747 inflator and the battery/charger. I really like the compact and easiness using it. I tried it and was amazed how efficient and easy using inflator on my car tires.
I will let my friends and relatives about ryobi inflator on great performance it provides to inflate car tires. This is not my first ryobi took, I also have a ryobi lawn mower that is so easy to use. Its is electric and very efficient cutting my grass. Home depot is a very dependable customer service store with very nice and friendly workers greeting and helping anyone in store that needs help.
I bought one the other day didn't get 10 minutes out of it an the housing for the weedeater busted. Sometimes you get a bad one it happens so I exchanged it for another it is definitely not meant for commercial use. I also got the plastic blade attachment with it. It doesn't stay attached it falls off every few minutes needs some sort of spring system to keep pressure on the clips. I have several ryobi tools and for the most part am satisfied with them but not so much with this one I'm going to try and design my own attachment keeper will let you know how it works
Another birthday, fathers day or christmas.it does not matter as my kids know what to get me for a gift. I
Have received a drill, power saw, air inflator, lawn edger and trimmer A. Lso a power screw driver. None of these have let me down yet. Easy and reliable to run, light weight and has plenty of power. My yard looks great, will continue to ask for Ryobi gifts for all occasions. Keep up the good designs and work. Its working for me and you.
I just purchased a chemical sprayer and it is worth the money. It was easy to assemble and to use. I would recommend buying it.
Don't expect any help from Ryobi if you tool breaks within the first months of your purchase they don't stand behind there products. The warranty work in my area is with Home Depot and they expect you to leave the tool with them pay a fee and maybe they will reimburse you. Extremely poor customer service.
I currently have Ryobi weed eater. Received the Inverter from my son as a gift. I am on a Forest Service Fire Team out of Oregon. I spend my summers in a tent while on a fire. I use the inverter to maintain a charge on my cell phone and Fitbit watch at night. Sometimes we don't get a generator until after camp is setup to provide power.
Answer: I own 2 chain saws, 18" bar and 14"bar, both run excellent, I have cleared a lot of trees over the last several years on property up north, thank you
Answer: Yes, call Ryobi's 800 number. They will send a replacement. The same thing happened to me.
