Process is smooth and prompt and I recommend it if you are in a bind and can't risk the wait of 2 or 3 weeks from the standard government expedited process. Carema was very helpful. Not cheap, but well worth it.
At first, I was very skeptical about using a 3rd party company to expedite my passport. However, I did my research and looked at reviews. The instructions were very simple to follow. I loved the checklist and the step to call customer service to verify that my information was correct. I also loved the 5 step email process for updating the progress of the order. I received my passport sooner than expected so I got it even quicker. I absolutely have no complaints, which is unusual.

I thought my passport expired on my birthday but double checked 2 weeks before my departure to Europe. Whoops, that's your driver's license! Easy to follow steps and a very reasonable fee for not having to travel 300 miles to the nearest US Passport hub. I used the 3-5 business day service over the 4th of July week. I sent out my passport on Friday June 29, there were 4 business days the following week, and got my passport on Tuesday July 10th. So, it was processed in 5 business days once received (over the 4th of July, though) and I got it day 6. That was the plan. If I needed it faster I would have used the next tier up.
