The website Rugstudio.com was easy to navigate and find the specific rug models and sizes on my shopping list. I had questions about my potential purchase and used the chat function to contact customer service. Karla answered by questions immediately and it was so quick and convenient as opposed to calling in via phone! I also like that Rugstudio.com participates with Rakuten Ebates, so if you have that extension on your browser you can save even more money.

I had been looking at the gypsy wool hooked rug for several years and based on the customer service that was provided, ordered it. It was delivered on time and has been a great addition to my house. I have had it in my front porch, my office, and it is currently in my kitchen. The last two people to visit both commented on how cool it looks in the kitchen.

Today I place my second order with this company. The woman I worked with was amazing. She was helpful, answering all of my questions in detail, provided me background on the company the makes the rug, and was professional.

Excellent service!

RugStudio was immediately responsive when I wanted to chat about my purchase. The representative on the chat site was able to give me discount on the rug that I wanted. The rug I wanted is just beautiful. This site has the best selection of Southwestern rugs of any of the other sites I have shopped. The quality of their rugs is the absolute best. I know I am going to love my rug when it comes.

Great company!

RugStudio was very helpful when I called them with questions prior to my order. Delivery response was quick, even though it appeared to be on the delivery truck for a few days before making it to my doorstep. The rug arrived well protected and in perfect condition. Price was great. I am cautious of ordering from outside my usual shopping sites, but this couldn't have gone better.

Worst place you can do business with. Would never recommend to anyone, ever. I purchased 5 rugs and 1 came in early and was not happy with product. I decided to cancel rest of the shipment. RugStudio, a division of Oriental Rug Gallery of Texas, told me that we will take or I guess steal all your money you already paid $518. And if that was no enough, they charged me additional $80 without my permission or reason, completely unauthorized. In short, I paid total $598.00, and did not even receive the product and refused to refund any money. Attached is evidence of business practice of this company how they will take all your money and you will never get your item either. Buyers beware! If you receive defective item or not happy with purchase, you will lose all your money by their return shipping and fees + restocking fee of 20%, even if they mentioned hassle free return, its most hassle return you'll ever make in your life. I have attached response I got from company.

I show your rugs to be in route to you at this time and are in CA with an estimated delivery date of today. For the one rug you refused and asked us to facilitate the return shipping charge for, yes, the return charge has been charged to your account, and there was no restocking fee applied. We sent you return information for your other rugs and are happy to issue a full refund upon receipt. Per our policy page and the information on your order confirmation, RugStudio always offers free shipping to you, but we do not pay return shipping charges. Any returns sent to our distribution center, following our return instructions are issued a full, 100% refund. We have a pretty standard return policy and simply request you send any and all returns back to us for the fastest refund of your money. Thank you!

Impossible to return
February 15, 2019

I purchased a small rug 2x3. I made a mistake with the color so I needed to return it. It arrived in a clear plastic bag which was not re-usable. I was told to purchase thick plastic painter's tarp which I did. ($12) When I went to UPS, I was told it would cost me $36! Reason? The return address is a rural route in TX. I then went to USPS. It still cost me $17. They need to find a better destination for their return and use shipping material which can be reused. I will never buy from
Them again.

Hi Francoise, I am sorry to hear about your troubles returning your purchase. I assure you, our return address is not a rural route but is in a very central part of the city of San Antonio. This size rug is generally shipped via USPS for under $10. Next time you need help returning something, please reach out to us and we can offer you a link to acquire a return label on our UPS account, however, sometimes USPS is much cheaper for this size. Just had my rug delivered today and the man that showed up asked me where he should put the rug. When I said he can just bring it right inside the door he smiled and said "oh no, I'm not allowed to enter your home" I'm not sure why he bothered asking me when his only option was to drop it on the ground in front of my house. I was visibly upset and he just laughed at me. I called rugstudio and they simply said there's nothing they can do about it and didn't seem to care at all.

Dear Mr./Mrs. Badger, I am sorry you had a less than excellent experience with your delivery. Nourison shipped you your rug via Brauns and rest assured, Bruce forwarded your complaint on to Nourison for them to review. Your wife indicated she desired to have the rug placed in the home at time of delivery. Unfortunately, that is considered a "white glove" service and would need to be arranged prior to shipment, for an upcharge in some cases. Please feel free to reach out to us directly with any other questions or comments regarding this issue and we will be happy to forward it on to Nourison so they can reevaluate their relationship with that particular freight company. I have also made notes in your order so we can make this up to you on any future orders. Thank you, RugStudio Management

Purchased Rug based RUG STUDIO reviews- (Obviously more believable reviews on Sitejabber
Rug starting falling apart the minute we opened the "plastic bag"- didn't even package correctly to ship- was told that this was "normal" I've purchased many rugs in my life including one recently. NO RUG falls apart like this- I also asked an opinion from a reputable Rug store.- NOT NORMAL
I would not buy anything else from this company- Had to dispute charge on my credit card for the rug and it cost me additional money to ship the rug back!
DO NOT BUY from this company

Brenna, I just wanted to let you know that Surya did receive your rug back and upon inspection found that it was simply "shedding" as is normal for a rug of that material and weave. You have been issued a full refund and I do see that you chose not to receive a replacement. I do hope you will try another Surya rug again soon, you just might want to stay away from the weaves that have a heavy shedding factor. Thank you!

I purchased a rug from them, received with frayed edges, all around the rug, even though this was a tightly knit rug. Two days after putting on floor I vacuumed ONCE with home vaccum and rug destroyed!. The frayed edges pulled even looser. I immediately sent pictures. Spent $500 and used rug for 2 days. Rug Studio refused any assistance. Stated my fault for vacuuming. REALLY? I would not personally recommend this company to my worst enemy. They just want my money with no concern of the product! If I could give them 0 stars I would as they do not even deserve 1 star.

Difficult Return Process

So many scammers in the online rug business. Don't ever buy a rug without inspecting it in person. The descriptions on RugStudio website are highly deceptive. I purchased a polypropylene rug named something else to sound like natural fibers. The pile height was half what the site claimed and the color was badly off from the pictures. I contacted RugStudio for a return and they would ONLY issue a store credit, which is not what their Site claims for returns. Play it safe and stick with Amazon with the A-Z buyer protection program. 2 months later and I'm still fighting with RugStudio trying to get a refund for the rug I returned.

Hi Eric, I am sorry to hear you received something not to your satisfaction. Anytime we have a discrepancy on our site, we will gladly issue a prepaid call tag to pick it up. We do request that you notify us within 10 days, but you are always welcome to return anything non custom to us for any reason, we just ask you request that return authorization within our 30 day return window. Also, please feel free to call us anytime you have a question about the materials used in any of the products we sell. There are a lot of new materials on the market, but we try our best to be as accurate as possible when describing the fibers used. Thank you
