AWFUL DELIVERY
December 1, 2020

I ordered two rugs from Rugs Direct. They arrive promptly. One of them contained the normal curling up at the edges, which should straighten out in a few days.(I put some heavy books on it.). The other looks like it went to hell and back. The way it was packaged has left multiple crinkles and folds in it that look like they may never flatten out. I have never had a problem like this with any rug I have purchased elsewhere (and there have been many),

I ordered a rug from Rugs-Direct and never received it. Paid for using "PayPal" thank goodness. Repeated attempts to find out why they would take my money and not send the rug failed as their customer service refused to answer my email inquiries. Either they are running a scam or just don't care who they cheat. Overall, my experience with them not good. I just hope PayPal can get my money back. Stay far away from this business!

I received a rug from them that had an obvious defect. It looked like the dye got smeared or something during manufacturing on one corner of the rug. I contacted them and they requested pictures. They said they couldn't tell from the pics that there was a problem and requested more pics. (purposely dragging their heels). I sent them more pics, they said they would forward them to the Claims dept. After many more days they finally rejected my claim. They never told me why. I did however finally get my refund less $218.50 that I had to pay to ship it back. That was so unfair. I can understand me paying for shipping if I changed my mind or something but when it has an obvious defect? After reading many other reviews and my own experience, it seems very plausible that they are selling "Seconds" quality rugs but not advertising as such.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

We were sent a rug not-even-close to the color we ordered "Ocean Sand" BUT a dead-ringer for another color offered "Indigo Charcoal" in the same pattern. We sent pictures that were very clear and also their own site has customer images and descriptions of the actual color we ordered that supported our claim. We were given nothing but an RA and were forced to pay over $80 to return something that we didn't order. They are practiced thieves I now see from reading these similar reviews.

While Rugs Direct was quick to take our order (i. E. Money) production was slow and delivery through FEDEX a nightmare. Still waiting for delivery after FEDEX sent emails last week and every day since indicating "Your package was loaded on a FEEX truck at 4:21AM and will be delivered by close of business tomorrow. WHERE IS THE RUG I PAID FOR?

Adequate

I have purchased rugs from Rugs Direct for several years. Very fast delivery and quality has always been satisfactory. I discovered today, however, that I can purchase identical rugs for as much as 40% cheaper from at least 6 different sites, including Amazon. Free shipping and no problem returns.

An absolutely awful site

I bought a rug from them that was a piece of junk. They will let me return it but only if I pay freight. The rug is not as advertised and it is very expensive. Shame on me for buying online during a pandemic. BUT NEVER AGAIN! Stay away.

NEVER AGAIN
Received my rug and it was of terrible quality, very thin and cheap looking. I asked to return the rug. The rug was shipped from a warehouse that is10 miles from my house in Fontana CA, however, to return it, it had to be returned to a warehouse on the East Coast at my expense for shipping. Rugs Direct told me that the warehouse cannot accept returns. The shipping cost to return to the east coast was almost as much as the total cost of the rug.
I also purchase a rug pad from Overstock.com for this rug and when I realized I was not going to keep the rug I asked Overstock to return the pad and there was no problem or no return shipping cost. The funny thing is it was returned to the same warehouse in Fontana where the rug came from that Rugs Direct said their rug could not be returned to. I did not have a problem paying for return shipping from where it was shipped from, but why would I pay to ship it back all the back to New York. NEVER again will I purchase anything from Rugs Direct! Terrible return policy! Terrible Customer service!

Ordered a sample from the company bashed off of their description of colors on the rug. Rose and Charcoal are the predominant colors listed. Had I known Navy was the color and not "charcoal" I would have never ordered the $67 sample. When it came it was completely rose and NAVY. I called to explain the challenge I have with their listing. The manager Annette says It is clearly charcoal. Laughable because I sent her the picture in direct light and it use clearly navy. This company is a complete fraud. Can't even credit my account for the $55 and definitely wouldn't credit my account for their "handling fee". Completely a waste of time and money on cheap rugs. It is navy navy navy!

Fell Apart!

Spent over $300 on a rug. It began pilling as soon as it went down. Customer Service told us not to vacuum with a brush. We stopped but the pilling continued. Rug is trashed wherever we sit. Terrible quality!

0 RATING. Very Inept, rude, incompetent Customer Service team. Accepted my purchase of a sale price 9x12 rug. Then they cancelled my SALE PRICE order and told me to reorder BUT AT FULL PRICE. BUYERS BEWARE! (I have all indeph correspondence with customer service emails documented and saved).

I bought a carpet and although the colors are right when you walk on it it looks dirty because of the sheen. When I vacuum it one way it looks new again but as soon as you walk on it the same thing happens, it always looks dirty. When I called to complain they told me I used the wrong vacuum, it is my fault! I have a cordless Shark, nothing strong, just a simple vacuum. So even if I returned the carpet (AT MY EXPENSE $75) it probably would not be accepted by the manufacturer as it looks dirty when you unroll it. Horrible company, horrible carpet, horrible return policy. Do not buy here...

DO NOT buy from Rugs Direct. I purchased a rug that wasn't the color as it appeared on line. I had the deliveryman open the packaging with me to check the rug because I had seen reviews before that stated that other customers had similar experiences.

I spent $1,100.00 and I am only getting a refund of $580.00. They claim it is a restocking fee. They also plus charged my card $166.00 to cover return shipping costs. Thus, I'm out $744.00. This is clearly a scam.

DO NOT order from this company.

Buyer beware!

Ordered a wool rug from this company and they sent me a completely different rug, asking for photos before they can authorize a return and telling me they will not pay for return shipping even if it is their error. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE RIP OFF ARTISTS! Photo #1 was what the website had shown & #2 is what they sent.

On Jan 1,2020 O ordered a beautiful beachy, nautical rug. After I purchased it I decided to look at the reviews. I was shocked at the bad reviews. I had noticed they took the money out of my acct almost immediately. Then I noticed I never received a confirmation in my email. I seriously was going to cancel the order.The next morning I got up and still no email.So my husband called the company. Unfortunately, I cant remember who the rep was other then it was a woman.The rep had said there was some issues with my emailacct provider and it went in my spam mail. I looked in my spam and there it was... Then the rep proceeded to tell my husband that the rug was in stock and we should receive it in 7 to 10 business days. Well, fast forward till today on Jan 4,2020 I received my rug. Only 4 days! Wahoo! The rug was neatly and securely packaged. When I opened it up to my amazement it was gorgeous! Thank you Rug Direct... So glad I didnt cancel..

I ordered the blue rug which I really like as seen in the photo. Instead I received a rug that looks nothing like what I ordered. The tag and labeling was right. I am keeping the rug due to the $60 return fee. Very disappointed!

The worst buying online experience ever! The order took a long time to arrive. The color was incorrect and to add insult to injury, RugsDirect did not pay shipping for the return. I will never, never buy from this company again. I encourage everyone who reads my review to buy from Wayfair... a much better experience overall.

Received a half rug that did not match, told to send picture I did. First I called Rhody Rug Inc and they told me to call rugs direct, they are the manufacturer only, right there I got a red flag. Than I called a Gabriel Ventura with rugs direct... said send a picture, which I did and 3 days later he sends me an e-mail asking to answer all four questions. Open up the attachments nothing there? Went back to the message and\the other 3 were if I was sending it back? The question to him was is it the right one? So right there I figured this guy has no idea if it is right or wrong and if I sent it back I get the same color. Looking at the reviews... as terrible customer service etc. etc. Beware this guy is an in between man, knows nothing about 1st common courtesy second on how to help the customer. You have to be nuts to deal with Rugs Direct..

OMG! I thought I was the only one having problems with them. I placed an order in July, 2019 for an "in stock" item. Here we are end of October, and I get an email "estimated ship date JAN 25,2020". Wasted my time calling Customer Dis-service.
