ResumeGo really got me going with my job search. My writer not only helped with writing my resume, she also provided valuable advice on how I should handle my job search and approach applying to jobs. Will be eternally grateful for how much guidance she provided for my job search
I went into this with high expectations seeing how I originally found them from a WSJ article I came across.
They ended up being very helpful, and delivered a resume that I am extremely happy about so just wanted to leave a review after receiving an email from them. 5/5 for sure
I am not a business owner just an individual looking for a new job. I ordered my resume from this company in June of 2021 and have yet to receive a finished product. Despite repeated attempts to contact customer service, customer service told me they would assign me a new writer. I attempted to reach out to them again and was ignored. This was a complete waste of time and money.
I had a very pleasant time working with my writer and the resume she wrote for me ended up exceeding all my expectations. I definitely feel like I got my moneysworth on something that is going to hopefully help my job search and lead to even more financial success.
Surprisngly though, this process did take more time than I originally expected. From start of buying my order to getting my resume, it took around a weekish.
Not the kind of person to leave a review for the fun of it, but these guys ACTUALLY turned my resume around and made it better. Got to show some appreciation when there's someone out there putting in real effort.
Props to em
I used their resume services to get my resume rewritten and was definitely super fond of what I ended up receiving. My writer was also very cordial and took the time to extensively go over my old resume with me from start to finish.
My only complaint is that I wished their prices were cheaper. As someone without a job, having to pay 300ish dollars for their services is definitely quite the investment. I do think that it will be worth it in the end though, and as already implied, the resume I got is what I have hoped for with their services.
I love what they did with my old resume. The new one created looks very promising and I can't wait to see the results it yields in the job market (despite how stagnant it may currently be).
I found them out from my parents originally, who wanted me to use a resume service.
I decided to give them a shot seeing how writing has never been my forte - I am in marketing so I'm not someone who's writing papers or long-winded articles very often.
I ended up working with a writer with a bit different background than me (he was in management), but marketing isn't a particularly technical field so I was okay with it.
I ordered on Monday and received my draft next week on Wednesday (so like 10ish days).
Though the draft had a couple of things that I sort of forgot to mention to my writer, it looked very well constructed and I was generally happy.
I thought it took longer than necessary to make the changes I requested (it should really only take an additional day, but it ended up taking 3)... but all in all, I can't complain because the end result was really promising and I have gotten a resume that is better than what I can do myself.
While it doesn't matter too much and may vary from writer to writer, I do think the writer I got was very kind and receptive to what I had to say.
I found that the new resume I received was significantly better than my original. However, it was not sensational. My old resume was admittedly pretty bad, so while they made major improvements, I feel like it could still be better. Maybe my standards are unrealistic, but some part of me knows that my current resume can be further improved!
I've tried 3 resume services so far and this one's by farrrr the best. What I HATE the most about some of these companies is that the writer DOESNT EVEN TALK TO YOU. Thankfully this was not the case here, and I found that the ResumeGo writer I worked with was very approrachable and someone who analyzed my career history in order to improve my resume.
Their resume checker provided me with very useful information about my resume. I also used Jobscan's but it wasn't as comprehensive as this one's.
At the very least, they are way better than my last resume service that I went with.
I really regret not doing as much research the first time around to find a more reliable source like ResumeGo and other services I learned about my second time I searched up resume companies.
Got my resume a few days ago and was super pleased with the results. Still a couple of things to talk over with my writer tomorrow, but all in all this was an A+ job.
I was recommended by a friend who also got his resume written by ResumeGo.
As someone that works as a mechanical engineer, my background is not as a writer, so I thought I'd give them a shot, despite being a bit skeptical about the fact that someone else who's main profession is as a resume writer, can write a resume for me in my very technical field.
After filling my form out, I was assigned to Vincent Zhao, who's background was not in my field. Despite this, he actually wrote me a very solid resume that I find to resemble my best achievements throughout my 12 year career.
All in all, I found this to be a very legitimate service. Both my friend (the one who originally recommended me) and myself, were very happy with what we ended up receiving.
Really poor service. The writer got my original resume and messed up dates and gave minimal effort. She then ghosted me for 3 weeks. I asked for the money back per their guarantee and they denied it. Sham service.
After reading the reviews and trying to enhance my resume for a career growth opportunity I decided to try them. After all, their page boasts of a money back guarantee. I got my resume from them and was completely disappointed. My current role was written in the past tense. They cleaved up duties in past roles to where I didn't even know what it meant. The lumped together duties that did not belong together. The job description I sent them, the one I was going to apply for, meant nothing, as there was no attempt to highlight my relevant skills.
I submitted a refund request letting them know I was not willing to move forward due to the first impression being horrible. I was not going to spend more time telling them how to write a resume and paying rhem to do it. The resume I sent for updating was better than what I received.
After two emails they confirmed I could get a refund, but it would only be half of what was paid. I looked at their website and they offer the "money back guarantee, no questions asked" in multiple places. It is too bad they are not upfront or add an asterisk next to that letting consumers know that it is only 100% refunded if you cancel before getting any draft. After that apparently it is only 50% money back. I believe this is a deceptive practice and will send my issue to the CFPB as well.
Was not worth the time and money for the attempted update towards a professional resume. If you have no resume or this may be your first one, go elsewhere, spend less, and get satisfaction. Resumego overpromised and under delivered.
No complaints here. I think the resume and LinkedIn profile they wrote from me was well done and exactly what I was looking for. I really appreciate my career coach explaining to me the reasoning behind the changes and additions made to my old resume and everything went smoothly the way I hoped for. :)
I found their service to be amazingly helpful in helping improve my resume. I was also pleasantly surprised to have gotten the resume writer I wanted originally from their writers page.
The most noticeable quality of my new resume is what they changed around with my work history section. From talking to my writer, my original writer was too long, and wasn't very skimmable. What I got was a resume far more compartmentalized and concise, which from learning more about resumes online, is exactly the way to go.
Had to try 2 other services before finding one that actually PUT IN THE WORK like they are supposed to.
I would give a 5 star, but because the pay is higher for this service than the industry average, I feel like it's still not the ideal, ideal option.
I ordered the porfessional package + cover letter which totaled around $290. Like I mentioned before, the resume was stellar, and I really appreciated the time spent with my writer discussing it. The cover letter is like this review, a 4 out of 5. I feel like I could have written something like that myself or got close to it.
While the initial draft of my resume by Lana at ResumeGo was well-written, it was not what I was going for. I sent several job descriptions of the types of positions I am applying for as requested, but it appears that was ignored as this was not incorporated in the resume. The revision process was not collaborative at all, and while I hoped to receive some guidance, she simply changed a few words here and there exactly as I suggested (even though I asked for her feedback). You are given 14 days and unlimited revisions, but when your writer is MIA for 7 of those days, it makes it difficult. Not to mention, I also paid for a cover letter and LinkedIn profile, and the cover letter is useless and the LinkedIn is an exact copy and paste of the resume. No one at the company seemed to care about my concerns as they are clearly only focused on quantity and profit. Back at square one with my resume.
