The company has garnered significant negative feedback, primarily centered around customer service failures and issues with account management. Many customers report lost funds and unresponsive support, leading to sentiments of being scammed. Additionally, the limited and outdated restaurant options have contributed to dissatisfaction, as customers frequently encounter closed establishments. While a few positive experiences are implied regarding the product concept, the overwhelming sentiment reflects frustration and distrust. To improve its reputation, the company must enhance communication, streamline account management, and ensure accurate listings of participating restaurants.

Ordered the certificate 01-18-2010 and haven't received it yet. Today is 02-10-2010. I e-mailed Restaurant.com twise with no response. I called and customer service was unable to solve the problem. Said they will have a 'supervisor' call me. Hope someone does, or else I will also dispute it with my credit card and make sure everyone knows about it. The rep asked me how do I know my confirmation number, when given by me! I received an e-mail confirming my purchase the same day and she didn't know we receive that? Or is she implying I am lying/stealing? She said there is no way to know if the card was used! What's going on? I will see in the next day or so, and take other measures.
Do not waste your money on this site! Basically if a restaurant is on here, it is in the lower 25% in quality and service. Occasionally you may find a restaurant you like but the requirements are ridiculous and most of the time you will end up not using your gift cards. Also, only get these gift cards for free! They always have promotions so do not even pay $2 for a $10 gift card because the least you can do is get it for free when you don't end up using it!
If you read the requirments clearly listed before you buy it can be a great way to save money. As an example we used one yesterday that was a $25 gift card for $2. Requirment: min. 2 people, dine-in dinner only, min. $35 total sale less alcohol, verify location will take printed gift card. Basicly you have to decide if it is a good deal for you or not.
Fraud/ tricky website. Don't get allured by the discount provided in the website. - hi,
I bought 4 gift certificates worth 25$ each at restaurant.com valid only online through mrsfields.com. It was on a sunday, so I couldn't inquire either of them (restaurant.com or mrsfields.com) about the expiry and the minimum order. I came to know about the fraud after I bought the mrsfilds.com certificates that I need to purchase a minimum of 75 dollars (excluding shipping charges) and can use only one coupon for redemption at checkout. So, I need to pay 50 dollars from my pocket everytime I make a purchase. Buyers, be aware.
Answer: Same thing happened to me. There is no live person to talk to. They will give you a credit to use on another voucher but you will probably run into the same problem.
Answer: Burn it! Restaurant.com is not going to work with you at all. They are scam artists
Answer: Most likely because of people like me. I had never heard of this company, but, was offered their cards as part of a promotion. After being burned, I took the time to post my opinion. Others may not take the time to caution others...
Answer: Yes you need to pay almost 5 times as much as you pay. Dont do that
Answer: Terms of use make it nearly impossible to redeem gift cards.
Answer: No restaurants directly accept the gift card at the restaurant.
Answer: Don't even bother
Answer: You probably can't since it is virtually impossible to reach the company. I wish I had a better answer for you.
Answer: Your question is not very clear but if your certificate is "unused" I assume that means it hasn't been used yet and it is available for you to use. Be sure to check for other possible restrictions and minimum purchases.
Answer: And when you call restaurant.com Theresa K or some other staff member will politely tell you, in essence, you don't have any $135 value. They will find a reason but they will suggest you spend more only to loss that too. Be cautious.
