The company generally enjoys a positive reputation for its user-friendly reservation process and competitive pricing, with many customers appreciating the ease of booking and the informative website. However, several concerns were raised regarding transparency, particularly about fees and cancellation policies, which left some customers feeling misled. Customer service experiences varied, with some interactions being highly praised for friendliness and helpfulness, while others indicated confusion due to communication barriers and insufficient support. Overall, while the company demonstrates strengths in convenience and pricing, it would benefit from enhancing clarity in its policies to improve customer trust and satisfaction.

If we arrive to a clean room, environment and a reservation that promised "River View"….we will be happy. This is my 77th birthday on the 24th so a visit to casino will be fun! Have some prosperous numbers on this birthday
2-24-24. Thank you… our first visit!
Very user friendly and convenient. Highly recommend it.
Thank you for your review, Nagarjuna. We want you to have the best experience possible booking with us!
I called in to book a room with my husband for new years with a jacuzzi in it I specifically asked the man was he sure the room had a jacuzzi and he assured me it did when I got the email it said I was booked for 2 queen beds and charged my card almost 300.00 dollars I called the hotel they told me they didn't have jacuzzi rooms or a jacuzzi period I immediately called travelpass back they told me they would run the call back and get the room canceled I called back they gave the run around and lied and said the hotel told them I stayed in the room wich my pictures show proof I was in dc I never went to nc or sc wich I will also prove in court these people are a big scam and will lie on you and steal your money make sure you keep all your receipts like I did because they will lie on you bad
Should've paid closer attention to the URL. I have made several reservations directly with the motel in the past with great service. Reservation Counter looks like the hotel's site and I booked a reservation quickly because my dad was taken to the emergency room and I was in a hurry. That hurry cost me $120 (about $40/night) extra. I've learned I can't let an emergency lower my guard for scams. After they added all their charges for "no value added" they even hit you with a service fee. When I discussed the total bill at the front desk at checkout they apologized for not screening the sites like Reservation Counter.
Thank you for your review, Joseph. We're sorry for any confusion between us and the hotel where you are booking. Reservation Counter is an online travel agency. We are recognized by the biggest names in travel and book reservations at over 200,000 hotels worldwide. We search multiple inventory sources to bring our customers the best availability and rates and can assure you we provided the best rate possible when you booked with us. Please feel free contact our escalations team at support@reservationcounter.com if you need assistance.

Booked through reservation counter thinking I was booking directly with the hotel. The reservation agent gave every indication it was the hotel. I booked, after conforming dates and price. Charges to my credit card far exceed the agreed to price. In fact there was a second charge on my cc. Called the company. Was told they would cancel the reservation, reverse the charges. Charges were removed from my credit card. Two days later the charges reappeared on my credit card. Called the company. They denied everything. Because it is all verbal I have no way of substantiating any of this. Also I did not ever receive any confirmation of the booking.
Very very deceitful and misleading. Not quite fraud but oh so very close. Stay away form these guys. You see posts similar in Trust pilot and Rick Steve's travel sigh with similar complaints.
UPDATE FEB.21.24
Did receive a full refund.

My wife called to book me a hotel near the PDX airport for the night, as I was stuck in an ice storm and my flight was canceled. I suggested the Holiday Inn Express, which i knew was a nice place. Your rep was unable to book there, but told my wife not to worry because he could find something comparable. My wife does not know Portland, so was relying on the advice of your team. The Quality Inn was the Hotel presented as an alternative to our first choice. It was a prostitution hub, dirty, and in a very unsafe area! Before i could even get out of my car, i was approached by a young woman and offered "services"! Plenty of homeless in the area and just a very shady area in general. I said "Heck No!" and found a room elsewhere. This was about 3 hours after my wife booked the room. I called and requested a refund but was denied due to the no refund policy. Well, the "no refund policy" does not apply when there is fraud. You misrepresented the hotel and put me in an unsafe and unsanitary scenario.
I called to speak to a representative so that I was sure to get a room with a jacuzzi. I paid this company $19.00 service fee to do this. I was booked in a room without a jacuzzi in a hotel that doesn't even offer 1. Not even a hot tub at the pool area. I paid and extra $100 for the room because of the assumption that I was getting a room with a jacuzzi. Once I arrived and realized this, I stayed because I was charged either way. Absolutely ridiculous and I contacted via phone and email and as of 3 days later I've received absolutely no contact. In future I will never use this company again. Unfortunately this company handles a lot of online bookings through Bookings and Hotel. Com sites.

Their website mirrored the hotel's website so closely that I did not realize I was on a third party site. When I booked the hotels through the site, they did not make it clear that the reservation for multiple people and multiple nights was NOT refundable.
When I complained to the hotel, the person at the front desk said, "I'm so sorry - we hear this all the time. They are not affiliated with us in any way, and we hate that they took advantage of you but there's nothing we can do."
SCAM company - I only hope other people can avoid making the same costly mistake that I did. Everyone at this fraudulent company should hold their head in shame.
I've been dealing with Travelpass(reservation counter) since November for a refund of a booking. The issue began when the customer service rep portrayed themself as a front office rep from Embassy Suite in Winston Salem. Needless to say it's been a headache since. I find it ironic that when you call Travelpass their message clearly states they are not part of a particular hotel. If that was clearly stated at the beginning I would have never started the reservation with them.
Intial attempts for a refund where stonewalled by representatives who can only restate policy, once you ask for a supervisor you are put on hold forever. When you finally speak with a supervisor he/she only restate policy and informs you that there is no one else to speak with. As a result I disputed the charge with the credit card company, which was of little assistance. I then resorted to calling Embassy Suites in Winston Salem who were very helpful. The managers of Embassy Suites acutally approved a refund. I received an email on 12/18/23 from Travelpass that the refund will be granted. When the new year began I called Travelpass since I hadn't received the refund. The first call accused Embassy Suite of recharging for the refund, the second call said that since there was a dispute on the charge their policy is to wait 60 days before refunding the reservation. So now I've been told that my refund will be processed on February 6th and there is no one who you can speak with who can do anything beside recite policy. The "Escalation Team" who will "take good care of you" can only be reached by email. Unfortunately, they never respond to emails sent.
If whenever booking you ever realize you are dealing with Travelpass, Reservation Counter or whatever name they go by hang up. Your life will be much less frustrating!
Showed up at my hotel 1000 miles from home with a reservation and confirmation number only to find out that the hotel didn't have any rooms! Hotel gave this company a refund for 1 night but I still haven't seen a dime...not to mention being stranded 1000 miles from home! I will never use a third party again!

My husband booked a 2 night stay in a hotel through travelpass, we got to the hotel to check in and it was not the room we booked.
We had to pay for the new room upfront at the hotel and was told this happens often and to contact travelpass for a refund for the wrong room.
We contacted them immediately and they refused to refund our 2 night stay.
NEVER book anything through them!
I booked through this site unknowingly and was screwed over. I booked a 2 Queen Bed Suite with a Sofa Bed for My family for Thanksgiving. I emphasized the sofa bed with the agent several times and he was fully aware of it. I get to my destination 15 hrs. Away from my home and they've booked the wrong room, not enough space for my entire family. What could I do, I have no choice but to spend another $600 getting another room so my family would have somewhere to sleep. I call the company speak with a couple different supervisors, they say we will compensate you in 5-7 days. I get the email today saying we are going to refund you $15.99 for the inconvenience. I tell this supervisor that's not going to work as he continues to talk over me and not listen. Then I say I need to talk to the person over you then a corporate manager or somebody. He proceeds to tell me there is no one over him and I can write a email to the service team I refused to give me a corporate number. He then says this all we going to do, and still refuses to get me to someone over him. I hope this is not the way you guys intended on handling business. Because you guys got my reservations wrong I was out of pocket an additional $600, and your compensation is refunding me $15.99 that is bad business and I promise until I here something back I will call and complain everyday.
Ok so I needed a room. Never stayed in a room before by my self. So I looked at Many different places in line. I found Reservation Counter. They seemed to like the cheapest way to go! I was happy! Then when I go to check out. The hotel gives me a bill that was about $200 cheaper. I call Reservation Counter. They did not refund me or anything. I felt like I was scammed and it was false advertising! Really Upsets me! Everywhere I went through, they looked cheaper. They were NOT! They charged me almost twice the amount as just booking with the hotel it self. They Charged me $424.73 & $15.99 booking fee. Hotel bill was $235.89.

Needed to make a change to a reservation. They claimed they couldn't do so without cancelling and rebooking but of course the hotel was now book so I would lose my room even though I was only canceling one night and keeping 2 so I already had a room. Then to make matters worse they put me on hold for 35 mns to speak to a supervisor who mistakenly 'hang up'. Do not use them.

We were charged for a reservation WE DID NOT MAKE! This site is beyond shady, posing as hotels and stealing credit card information without authorization! They sent us a confirmation # for a reservation we did not make! Then confirmed our cancellation, only to tell us in the phone their fraudulent t charge was non-refundable. This company needs to be shut down immediately! (They are already under an FTC investigation/injunction). Please make this scam website stop stealing from people! Credit card companies, please refuse their charges!

I made a reservation online, during confirmation after, the payment was made I might add. The check in date was wrong. I call the phone number immediately the gentlemen that answered the phone stated that I needed to make a new reservation then He would give me the correct phone # to cancel the incorrect dates. This cost me 15.99 and 45 minuets of my evening. Now I have to wait 7-10 business days for an email to get my money back. I hope this keeps others from using this service They are just an answering service making 15.99 cents off every phone call They fixed nothing.
Thanks for your review and feedback, Tracy. Our cancellation policies vary depending on the hotel. They set the terms and conditions for each reservation. Reservation Counter should be brought up on charges! They lie and steal and continue to get away with it. Good luck trying to get them to pay you the money you are owed. They will promise anything, they offered to send me the record of our conversation at which time I was asking them to cancel our reservation. (Well within the allowed period of time) It didn't arrive within the 2 weeks so I called back and the rep on the phone said, "Oh he lied to you to get rid of you. We NEVER EVER provide a copy of a recording that proves our GUILT!

Book a hotel in Roswell, GA...reservation went through for Roswell, NM. Had a 2-day cancellation policy. REFUSED to refund full value even though the issue was with them. They do not honor any hotel perks progrmas...they make you pay in advance...they are the rudest & slowest customer service around...and rates are approximately $50-$75 HIGHER than booking direct at the hotel. The site SCAMS you to believing that you have booked at the hotel site...until the transaction is closed. DON't get SCAMMED like me...SAVE YOURSELF!

Easy to book, but don't know if I'm communicating with the hotel I need. A bit uneasy for those 65 and older.

Easy to book but I'm trying to figure out three different charges for one room, therefore, don't know the total cost of my reservation. One charge is for the room, I suspect one is fees charged by Reservation Center, and don't know the third.
FRAUD! FRAUD! FRAUD! FRAUD!
TRAVELPASS IS A COMPLETE BOGUS COMPANY! They will lie and try to sell an incorrect piece of information. They have defrauded us while booking a HOTEL reservation by providing us with misleading information that, upon arrival, wasn't true. PROBLEMS WITH THEIR BOOKING, CANCELATION, etc. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS UNRESPONSIVE; THEIR SO-CALLED ESCALATION TEAM IS JUST FOR NAME SAKE.
Please stay away from them if you don't want to lose your hard-earned money.
Answer: Trying to cancel a reservation, the rote voice said it did not recognize the phone number, even though it was the same phone I used to make the reservation. Then asked if the reservation confirmation number started with an R. I said No. It asked me several more times. I kept answering No. Then it told me to call the hotel for help and hung up. Called the hotel. They said they could not cancel since the reservation was made through a third-party company. That I would have to cancel through ReservationCounter. (Oh, by the way, I had tried to use the online Cancellation page - it doesn't work.) It was very difficult to get through to anybody and there were very long waits in between. I will never use this company again.
