This business needs to be shut down! When you enter a major brand hotel their add pops up leading you to believe they are affiliated. If you need to change your reservation good luck getting a refund. Stay away.

Never us this it is Fraud check with B. B. B. Not good. They rip me out of 260.00. Did use this they are associated with any of these hotels and motels. This is out of Utah and they are fraud. Negative 100

Reservation Counter consistently refused to give me the refund they themselves and the hotel said over the phone that I was entitled to if I had to cancel. It was a disapointing experience (the only one in years of using other simlilar companies to book trips & hotels). I am very disapointed with the enormous loss of time and all that money.

This one is a Bigger of the scamming sites out there today. Book your days incorrectly with no refund policy. And won't work with you on the refund that is rightfully expected. Based out of Florida these people hide behind the phone and or screen.

First of all their site hijacked a reservation I thought I was making through Priceline. Then when I needed a more detailed receipt for reimbursement since it was a business trip, they would not provide the receipt separating the taxes from the service fees. I spoke to 3 reps including a manager, explaining all I needed was a receipt. They refused and were rude in response to my requests. I would never use them again nor would I recommend them. Bad experience from beginning to end and this is written by someone who never writes reviews so you know it's bad.

Overcharged!

Reservation Counter charged my credit card $30 more than what the Candlewood Suites statement stated the charge would be. (I'm not including the $14.99 service fee charged by Reservation.) When I contacted Reservation, I was told that "sometimes we charge more than the hotel rate." NEVER USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Reservation Counter/Desk works with a wide variety of hotels to help people access the most online hotel choices. The rates that are listed on our site are provided to us by the hotel directly. We do not have the ability to modify or adjust these rates since they are controlled by the hotel. It looks like the hotel has shown the customer a different rate than the one that was supplied to us. This is very concerning. If the hotel would be willing to honor the lower rate, then we would have no problem refunding the difference to the customer. Unfortunately, we are unable to process the refund without the hotel's permission since the hotel has charged us for the rate we provided to you. We kindly ask that the customer send us the hotel receipt showing the lesser rate. We would be happy to contact the hotel regarding the customer refund request once this information is received.

Wrong Booking

I asked your agent to book me at the Holiday Inn Express in Springfield Illinois. He booked me a the Holiday Inn in Springfield/Dayton Ohio. Thank goodness I caught it before I left for a business trip to Springfield Illinois and I managed to change my reservation. Your agent told me I would get a credit however I am now told I will be charged $164 for the Ohio reservation and the hotel will not cancel.
This was totally the fault of your agent. I will never again use your service.

They are liars and scammers! They charged me USD instead of Canadian after confirming with rep it was Canadian. When refunded they did not refund whole amount! And the worst part they did fraud on my Visa account making purchases in Guatemala.

I have been trying to figure out the situation since it came up. Going on their FB, it's obvious that I am not the only one who's experienced this. I called, made same night reservation, they took my credit card info, charged a $15 booking fee and I have been trying to make sure that they don't process the 'nonrefundable: payment, as I never got to stay. Do yourself a favor and call the hotel hotel to make a reservation. Pass on Reservation Counter.

Evil Scammers

I was stranded on the side of the road during a thunderstorm in Chicago Illinois and had just returned from vacation in Africa, I still needed to drive 5 hrs before arriving to my home. There were no rooms available anywhere except for one at Kings Inn, due to an event going on there. They had one room available. I thought I was talking to the hotel directly, which makes me think some of these hotels or it's employees are involved in this scam! I was asked for a credit card and was told I wouldn't be charged until I arrived to check in. I had to catch an Uber because my car had a flat tire. After sitting on the side of the road for 5 hours, I arrived at the Kings Inn only for them to tell me they didn't have a reservation in my name at all! Not only that, they didn't have any rooms! I sat there in tears stranded and homeless. The clerk felt so bad for me that he said he would give me his room which was clean and ready to go. I had to pay out of pocket again for this room. Reservation Counter booked me a room in Albertville Alabama which is several hours away! I've never heard of this place before! And they took the money from my account! They will not return my phone calls nor will they give me an address to have them served! No good will come to demons like the ones who work for this company. You will get yours!

This company is a SCAM. I booked a hotel room with them, and the very next day, after my credit card had been charged, they sent me a cancellation notice. When I responded that I did not want to cancel, they apologized and said that they had telephoned the hotel and assured me that the reservation was in place. When I went to the hotel, which is a reputable chain, they said that my booking had been cancelled. After much difficulty, being put on hold, and several calls, I got in touch with Reservation Counter to be met with "You cancelled, no refund" chanted over and over again. I had no choice but to rebook and repay at the hotel. My credit card company is now disputing the $260 charge. These people are outright liars and thieves.

When I made a reservation they told me that my card had a error on it. Then they proceeded to run my card again. They double charged me. I have been dealing with them to return MY money and they give me the run around. THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY! It's been a month and I'm going to take them to court this coming week if they don't return my money by Wednesday!

Worst company I have ever worked with. I booked a reservation for a hotel in Atlantic City, and Reservation Desk not only booked me in a different hotel without telling me the hotel was not the one I originally called for, but also failed to cancel the reservation when I called them back and told them to cancel my reservation, and now I am responsible for the full cost of the hotel room, because they did not do their job. When I called today to dispute this issue, the customer service team was very unhelpful. I would never work with them again and I urge everybody else to book a reservation with the hotel directly and to never go through someone else.

I wanted to rate this a 0 rating but it would not allow me to. This was the worse experience I have ever had with a company. I had a booking at a group rate along with 10 other rooms booked and was told I could add days later if needed. I called back a few days afterwards to add one day and was told that wasn't possible. They suggested I cancel my reservation completely and start over. When I tried to rebook with the extra day, they wanted to charge me an extra $50.00 per night plus their fee on top of that. I was on the phone 3 different times with this company and was constantly transferred to people who could not speak any English. I asked 3 times for a supervisor and was told there was no supervisor available. Terrible communication skills and customer service. My advice, book directly at the hotel you are staying at. This is not worth the frustration to speak with someone who you can't understand.

If I could rate this website less than one star I would.
I went to the Hilton website to make a one night booking. Somehow, I was apparently bumped to Reservationcounter.com. My confirmation came from Reservationcounter.com. Didn't understand why since I wasn't on their website. My business meeting changed and I tried to cancel the reservation. I was told it was not refundable. (4 days notice) I called the property. They told me I booked through Price Line - where did that come from? I called Hilton and they told me I booked through Price Line. From the Hilton.com website? They could only give me Price Lines phone number. I contacted Price Line and they had no record of the reservation!
I'm out $233 and no one will take responsibility.
Hilton is being hacked or scammed by Reservationcounter.com.
Call for your reservation because you might get scammed by Reservationcounter.com
Now about to call American Express to make sure I don't get charged

SCAM

My husband clicked on the hotel website thinking it was the hotel he was booking through. We booked two rooms. Upon arrival we were told there was only one room available. My husband and I have called reservation counter five times asking for a refund on the second room. Thus far no success. I have had to resort to report this as a disputed fraudulent charge. The other negative reviews are spot on and describe the service received.

We booked the hotel through Reservation Counter and our room should came with a kitchen! We were charged $25 more for it too! When we arrived hotel didn't even have kitchen at all. We booked 6 nights and when tried to get the difference back we were first given a run around for almost a week and then NO! This is a very deceptive business that is using a deceptive practices. STAY AWAY these people are SCAMMERS!

How do these people stay in business? I only wanted to modify a 2 night stay to a one night stay and they could not modify unless they made a new reservation and then canceled the old but they could not do that because the hotel was booked. I talked to 4 different people over 3 hours. I was told a supervisor would get back to me. He never did. HORRIBLE company. Do NOT book thru them. Also, the original price for the room was $96 per night. When I saw my credit card statement (they have you pay up front!) there were $81 in taxes and fees for two nights so 50% of the room price? PLUS a $15 fee that is non refundable. Whomever is the CEO of this company --they should be ashamed at the scam they are running. Shame on them! Cost me more money plus time and headaches and had to book at a different hotel anyway and cost me money for nothing. THEY BETTER REFUND my money or else they will see a lawsuit. I will find out who the CEO is.

We are an older couple who rarely book hotel rooms. We Googled hotels with pools in Rock Hill, SC.
We wanted to call the actual hotel to find out if their swimming pool was open but instead, we apparently got Reservation Counter. To be fair, the rep was helpful; he spent a few minutes in which he said he was "calling around" to check hotel swimming pool status (during COVID). He finally located "the only one in the area you wanted where the swimming pool was open." He said we would be charged $125 for one night. We booked it without realizing that it was usually about $84/night. He never mentioned a fee so I assumed the high cost (for a Comfort Inn) was d/t taxes. Only when we checked in did we realize what had happened. Boo! Never again! Our advice: Go the the actual hotel website, do not Google "hotels with pools." (P.S.: The pool really was open, so we were happy about that.)
