So this is the type of service that you receive when you are forced to deal with a provider without any options. I've been told the wrong information not once but 3 times by customer service. Crystal calls with an excuse what they can't take which is wood in a garbage truck. Never had a problem before today the garbage truck driver is racist and a fool. He acts like he has to get off his lazy butt and dump the trash.
The service is great, the service charge is reasonable and if they do miss a pick up (which almost never happens) they fix the issue asap. But... trying to talk to someone about an issue is almost impossible and recycling isn't offered to all areas. My biggest issue is paying $333.67 for the delivery of 3 containers. When ordering my 3rd can I was quoted a price of $33.67, which I paid then. But was billed another $100 for delivery. When I called to ask why... I was constantly disconnected and still no answer. Since I work across the street from my nearest location I offered to pick the can up myself and was told no. So I pay the regular 3 month payment plus the monthly charge for each trash can and still payed over $333.00 to have the cans I rent delivered. I'm still waiting on the answer of why I was quoted over the phone one price then billed for even more.
Worst company I have ever done business with. Will not respond to letters, email or phone calls. I thought I would be smart and not pay the bill until I received some type of response from them and all I got was representatives from the company calling me asking for payment. I canceled the service and they still charged me for time when there was no pick up. I also paid for the trash cans to be picked up and they have still not been picked them up 3 months later. I called again today and everybody I spoke with acts like they had no idea the cans were not picked up. (Only the 3rd or 4th time I've heard this) Also I wrote the home office a detailed letter and of course no response. I have never dealt with a company that did this poor of a job and was as NON-RESPONSIVE as Republic Waste is. If there is another company in your area in the same type of business I would highly recommend you choose them to do business with or you will be one of the many individuals leaving a poor review like so many others. If I could rate them a minus ten I would. As the old saying goes BUYER BEWARE of this company.
First of all, my bill went up, AGAIN, $22. My bill has gone up every time they sent one out, every 3 months. Then, we moved, and I called to cancel service. The lady told me I'd receive a final bill, and they charged $30 to pick up the container. RIDICULOUS. And I had already paid a portion of my bill, and STILL OWE $59! For 3 pick-ups. I would NOT recommend this business as your trash pick up service.
Stole a trashcan and damaged another. Won't pay for damages. Told me they didn't care if they broke my property. They did tell me they care if I broke their property.
I literally sit my container on the curb 2 days before my pick up date and they still miss my house. I called customer service and they always tell me that someone will pick it up the following Monday. Nope! I have to wait until the next pick up date (which in my neighborhood is on Thursdays) for them to pick up my trash. This has happened on more than one occasion and is happening way too often now. I'm canceling my services tomorrow! Done with this company!
So disappointed with their service. Our dumpster was overfilled so we had garbage bagged up in front of the can. The driver had to get out of his truck to open the gate and instead of picking the bags up or moving them, he ran over them and made the worst mess. We would have paid extra to have it picked up. We called the office and they pretty much said too bad. We are cancelling our service with them and taking our business to Empire.
Remodeling a old house and was in need of a dumpster. After multiple phone calls and WEEKS of waiting we finally received a dumpster. However when it was time to empty the dumpster we were told that they couldn't dump that much weight and the materials that were in it. We made sure to specially tell them what the dumpster was for and how much weight would be in it. We were assured that it would be okay. However we were told we would have to remove all the material from the dumpster before they could come get it. So we ended up having to pay for the dumpster anyway but got to put nothing in it. So I called today to have it removed from the property and I am once again playing "call and wait". Please don't do it. Don't be scammed and waste your money like we did.
They leave the recyclables and dont pick them up. Over a month now. Anyone this city gets involved with is always a cluster mess.

Don't expect to reach anyone to help you when you call customer service. They have to get your representative to call you back, and guess what? IT NEVER HAPPENS.
I also tried to cancel the contract, which you can only do IN WRITING and mailed to their office. I sent it certified, return receipt, and NO ONE WOULD PICK IT UP at the post office.
They have it figured out. Do not look for friendly, helpful customer service. You're luck if your trash gets picked up every week!
Terrible customer service. Not once did I ever call and not be put on hold. Had to wait 1 or 2 days for a return call. Many times my bins weren't emptied completely, thus another call. Very frustrating! Sad that Gallegos sold out, they were very reliable. I wouldn't recommend Republic trash service to anyone.
We used Republic Services for our trash and recycling for 5 1/2 years. They started off great, but for the past few years they have been horrible. They missed pickups so often, I was calling almost weekly at one point for a credit. When my bill arrived there was no credit, so I called to inquire why. The rep claimed they had no record of any calls. The next time I called, a different rep confirmed that all of the calls were visible. So they actually lied so that they wouldn't have to provide a credit. The driver does not get out of the truck when picking up, so if they drop the recycling but, they leave it (and it blows all over the place) and they register with the company that they completed the service. When I called customer service about this, they just insist that the driver came and completed the service. In the end, for months, it would take a minimum of a 45 min wait to get someone on the phone to address an issue. When we cancelled service, they wanted $66 to pick up the cans. We offered to drop them off and they claimed there is no where to drop them off. So, we got horrible service, they often didn't come pick up on the scheduled weekly date, they would sometimes leave a mess, customer service was dishonest and we had to wait a minimum of 45 minutes to speak to someone and we had to pay $66 to have them pick up their own cans. It's absolutely shameful. We would not recommend them to anyone.
I had been a customer with A-Waste for years until later run now by Republic Services. Wait times if you have a question are terrible and worst customer service. There is no caring. Picked up my can even though I paid my bill and charged me $30 for pickup on my normal trash pickup day. This can was over 12 years old and was not in good condition when I got it. And then when I called about it they did not care. Not willing to budge on removing that charge. Customer service means a lot but there is none here.

I stared with republic trash pick up in 2017; in that time EVERY 3 months one billing cycle my rate increased. My service did not improve and I did not have more trash. My initial bill was $35. A feasible amount for a single person household. Then the next bill was $48. I didn't change anything, i still had a small amount of trash to be picked up. January of 2020 republic trash services increased my bill to $56. I called to cancel my service the employee gave me the price of $35. For a single person household. In 3 months the next bill came and it increased to $48. I called March 2021 to cancel. I was charged $30. To pick up their trash can. I called the office to say what a cheat to charge more to pick up the can than a one time fee for trash pick up.
What an awful corporation. Do Not pay these prices.

I manage several properties and use Republic Services for all of our waste. I had used different companies for different locations but after receiving very unreliable service from other companies I switched all to Republic Services. We are very pleased.

I have 2 dumpsters here a primavera square apartments in Bensalem pa that have been emptier since 9/23/2021 I reported both republic and primvera square for the lack for coming to empited the dumpsters asap as it's causing problems...

So across the board, you guys suck. You have no business being in So Cal. Your reliability and customer service are non existent. I order a weekend 3 yard dumpster from Friday to Monday. Friday came and went with no dumpster. Kicker is your services were already paid for. You might want to start charging at the pick up, not before the drop off. I will not recommend these services to any of my construction associates nor anyone I know. Also by not having your customer service associates being allowed or able to communicate with dispatch makes your company look like a pos. Good day.
Our yard waste has been sitting out almost a month I've called customer service a lot of times. I've been expecting a call from them for 2 days. If we could we would get another company.
First the fact that their example of a positive review is a person saying I met a good black man! Lol just met a good man would have worked. I put a king size mattress out for large item up Friday well it's Wed and it's still there. Called on Friday they said well for sure by end of day on Monday. Now it's for sure this Friday. They missed picking up my trash 5 times and I said I want credit and was told you get credit on the 6th time! Lol so happy I moved Saturday and no longer have republic.
