The first time that you make a transfer they will process it relatively smoothly, specially if it is a small amount. The second time they will get you. They disappear with your money and you will be dragged into a nightmare, dealing with customer services agents that are totally incompetent, barely speak English, and are trained to repeat the same thing over and over with the only intend to tire you out, and make you give up. Even if you send them written formal requests for an explanation, they will never respond. You will have to take them to court, which most people can't afford to to, or most likely, you will just give up. End result: Remitly wins, you lose!

10 days and my money has Still not reached my account. 5 days over and everytume response I get is money is with the recipient bank and we will write them an email to deposit money to your account. This is my last time dealing with them and herein will be advising everyone and everywhere to not use Remitly.

For a first time customer, Remitly offered the same rate for express sending as economy. Believing this, I did a money transfer overseas using the express option. However, while sending the money Remitly changed the sending speed to economy without any notification. Also they have a very small sending limit and totally useless rules that make it so inconvenient for people sending money for urgent and dire needs.
Don't Use Remitly. This company is scam. Their customer service is worst don't know where the money is. They hung up whenever we called them to ask about our money. I created my account (providing all information requested) and then started to make transfer. I got message that I can't do transfer until I provide ID! I already created account and provided all required! For ID this time they requested a video of my self while talking! When I asked why it was not requested while I was creating my account - no answer. When I asked to provide me with the a legal document stating this requirement - no answer. Do not get me wrong, I got a lot of talking, but no answers. You also can't delete your account or remove some of your personal information. It is also not clear (I got conflicting answers from different people) if your personal info permanently deleted from there data or stays there after THEY delete your account at your request. I am waiting on confirmation that they deleted my account and my personal info...
Avoid Remitly at all costs. My experience with them has been extremely dissappointing. Transfers are put on hold for an inordinate amount of time. When speaking to them, they ask unneccessary and highly intrusive questions, and also ask for potentially sensitive financial information. I have never in my life experienced being asked by a service company such probing questions that border on offensive like Remitly has. Transfers are slow, and do not arrive on time. Refunds are held and at times never sent. They are without a doubt, the worst money transfer service I have dealt with.

I have sent $500 to my family. Remitly sent me email confirmation that money been deposited to bank account. But my recipient told me it wasn't deposited. I have contacted Remitly several time, every time they said within 3 days they will fix it. But it's been almost 2 months and didn't get my money back. After reading all this review it's seems like they are thieve. Take people money and runaway.

I Have never seen a remittance company this bad. My first transfer they asked why.
My second transfer they asked for more proof
They have my passport + licence + bank statement + proof of send (My wife)
They Canceled my second transfer after sending my ID and bank statement and pointed me to the terms and conditions. My account was disabled which also disables Live chat, Email support and Phone support.

I tried remitting SGD150 to a friend and had the 3rd degree verification. Who sends their ID for verification as requested by the Chat Bot Staff.
It is absurd that I needed to verify when my bank gave me an authorisation code for the transaction.

I made the exact same payment the month prior with no problem. Now all of a sudden it violates service, even though the terms say I can use it for this service. I was referred to them by my friend who uses them for over a year to pay the same person. Their company is trash and then they take over 2 weeks to refund your money if they refund it all. Worst company. Save yourself the trouble and use Western Union.
I make a mistake by sending my wife some money through remitly.
I send money through Zoom and get the cash delivery whiting hours, but wanted to try remitly and didn't like that the transfer will take 9 days to be delivered to my wife and got notified of the delivery timing until after y summit it and got my transaction receipt. 3 days later I was told by a representative that it does take that long because of I set up my account with my bank info, no with my credit or debit card.
