After paying the membership fee and completing all of the surveys necessary to complete the transaction, I was not given an xbox one as promised. It appears that they pay you off instead of giving you the product by giving you a refund and $150 Amazon gift card for your time. So I got a $150 gift card for my time, not a bad deal right? It would've been fine if they hadn't sold my credit card info to someone and purchased a $73 Match.com membership. I was fortunately able to get rid of the fraudulant charge, but was not fun clearing that up with the credit card company. So I got $150 out of this, but it wasn't really worth all the time I put in.

Refurbished electronics is run by Altair Group Ltd. I have no idea who to contact in order to prosecute, or at least ban these people from using the web to scam people. I thought I'd pass on what I do know in case someone else knows how to shut them down. They are in the Ukraine. The address is Altair Group Ltd. 6 Alfred Gerada St. Iklin Ikl 1680 Malta. Their email address is "*******@electronics4surveys.com". Two things to always, always, always remember is to read the small print, and if something sounds too good to be true, it's a scam. I had to go to great lengths to get this information. Never do business on any website that don't give their phone number and address. I hope this helps some innocent, hard working victims at least shut the racket down. The population of the place their operating from is a little over 3,000 people. I'm glad I didn't get ripped off by them, they should be too. I'm due for a vacation and don't mind mixing a bit of business with pleasure.

False advertising and trickery sale, back-page fine print is not visible unless you already made the sale and look at the pages privacy policy and terms of service to the page which is not readily obvious during purchase. This is an illegal form of trickery. Plus to make it hard to even find their real sale they only bill you 36.99 and call their company ELECTRONICS to the bank, the only charge my rep could find for 39.99 was not them. The number they give bank if you call it wont be helpful either. Remember the website, and then click on member or that terms of service of other missed points during the purchase you will see you have to do surveys and like ten essays some three pages long just to hope you get the purchase. Instead of bother bank, I tried to do the surveys, and they kept saying that my answer were too quick not accepted. Then when asking me if I have kids it only gave choices of 1-4 and I have none. The whole thing is made to make you want to give up, and people with money who see it as chump change will not waste their time. It is a scam that tricks you in, and then tries to bore you out. I wonder if they get money for the work you do at about $5 to $10 a lead, as that is the going rate to lead to insurance agencies these days. Besides, an XBOX ONE S New will be on market for cheaper soon, a GAMESTOP bought mine for less than $60 dollars if that says anything. Don't do it, unless you really want to try all those essays and surveys that are sometimes half hour long surveys that wont work at the end anyway.

TOTALLY DECEPTIVE WEBSITE
THEY ARE NOT SELLING REFURBISHED ELECTRONICS
After you send them money and realize your product is not coming, you'll look deep into the terms of service and discover you have to spend days doing surveys and writing articles for them.
Trash of society.

Immediately after my warranty ended, my phone just stopped working. Battery dies after 20 minutes. Screen flickers and images stick. One corner has a dark cloud like the screen is leaking.

This is a scam
September 23, 2019

First, as stated in the terms of service, you will need to fulfill a certain number of product reviews and surveys either by mail or online.
Second, your payment of 39.99 is not a payment for the device or console you are purchasing. It is a "membership fee"
(These 2 little points are what allows this site to operate legally. It plays on the fact that a majority of people will not read the terms of service first, after which it relies on people inability or unwillingness to complete the requirements. The few that do complete the requirements; far less than those that do not, will never receive the console or device that they ordered. As shown by other reviews, they are offered a gift card and a refund of their membership fee with an option to forego the gift card and refund to wait for the device to be restocked; which will never happen since the operator of this site does not stock the devices it sells.)

You can report it, but this company is walking on the line that separates legality for illegality. Meaning, nothing can be done about it.

Remember, always read the terms of service. In doing so, you'll avoid scams like this.

As a side note, I've had to help people with problems like this caused by adult websites too. They also use this strategy. I'm telling you this as a reinforcement to always read the terms of service. ALWAYS.

I made a foolish purchase from Refurbished -electronics before Googling reviews. When I saw the reviews I messaged and cancelled my order within 12 hours. Refurbished Electronics acknowledged receiving my message but charged my BoA VISA account anyways. When I tried to contact them again they made themselves impossible to reach. Thank you BoA and VISA for getting my account credited for the charges that were posted by Refurbished Electronics under the name Opinion Shopping.

I was hoodwinked - enter ordering process has not even a single word to let you know you're only "buying" a "membership" vs. every step in the process looks like you're buying the actual merchandise - I found the hook in the details of the Terms of Service which you have to click on to finally see it stated that you're buying a fee; had expected that the unit I "bought" due to the ordering page saying delivery in 2 - 5 days, would have been delivered by 2 weeks - but never arrived - they don't answer phones or respond to emails - I am left with a credit card dispute process now and sending details to BBB in the states of CA and GA - DON'T BE SWINDLED BY THEM - DON'T BUY ANYTHING

If your read the rules first it says. "Pick your product, then you will be emailed links to all sorts of surveys and such to earn points. Once you've earned the required amount of point's, submit them and your item will be shipped the next day. It's a form trickery but it's not fraud because you didn't read before you purchased. And yes there's a number to call, but that's why they don't except Credit/Debit cards. You willingly submit your bank account and routing number, so it makes it to where your bank won't get involved and they don't have to have a dispute with a major financial institution over refunding your money. If you pay, in order to get your product you have to jump through there hoops to fully fill your obligation to receive it at the price you payed. NOT FRAUD, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND EITHER GET SOMEONE TO EXPLAIN IT OR AVOID IT.

Thieves and Liars
April 10, 2016

I also ordered an iphone 5 for 39.95 two weeks ago, and I have not received the phone as yet. Their internet website specified two day delivery and 24/7 tech support. I am unable to contact refurbished electronics either through the internet or by phone. I have not received the iphone either. The people responsible for this website are a bunch of liars and thieves, and are getting away with stealing money from poor people while they are laughing on their way to the bank getting rich from other people's sweat. The FBI should investigate this web site and lock up all of them responsible for selling a product they are not delivering. They must repay everyone they stole money from. They also tried to used my debit card number for their personal use. My banking institution detected their fraudulent ill intent, and I was notified. Consequently, I changed my debit card number and CW code. This appears to be an internet Ponzi scheme. Do Not Buy From Website or you most certainly get ripped off. I would like to know if this a terrorist group raising money illegally to wage war against civilized people.
