This company only exits to make money and keep your cash as long as possible. You have to give a deposit and they don't return it for months. If you cancel and refuse to give them more money they report you as delinquent and make your credit score worse. Why haven't they been shut down?

I embarked on a journey with Refresh Solutions, taking out a Credit Builder Loan with hopes of a brighter financial horizon. Regrettably, the experience has been fraught with hurdles and disappointments. Despite religiously making over 36 payments, my access to funds is merely a fraction of what was promised. The unpredictable shifts in interest rates, coupled with the seemingly arbitrary allocation of my payments—sometimes to the principal and sometimes just to the interest—has been perplexing and feels intentionally misleading.

But what truly compounds the frustration is the company's communication approach. Not only is there a glaring absence of real-time human interaction, but every attempt at seeking clarity is met with an impersonal automated email. The very idea of not being able to speak to an actual person, compounded by a wait time of at least three days for an email reply, feels like a slap in the face for a trusting customer.

In my many interactions with financial institutions, Refresh Solutions stands out as the absolute worst in customer service and transparency. Their practices not only undermine trust but also leave customers feeling neglected and deceived.

This company has terrible customer service.
They cannot be reached by phone.
None of their products are useful!

Refresh Financial destroyed my Credit I have a visa secured and loan secured with them they went out of business out of business for secured Visa and they close the account and deposit money back to my account after that they ask them to close my secure lone with them I ask them to deposit my security mommy to my account after I receive my money they keep reporting me eyes non payment the credit bureau Now I'm begging them every day to fix that mistake they never answer calls Or emails still begging them to do so paddocks videos stay away from them it's a scam

I was with them for a few years. I always found that most merchants rejected any purchase online trying to use this card. I complained to them, but they never did anything. They finally sent me an email saying they were closing the secured card and I was so thankful because they were awful. My credit score barely changed. I am with a new company and they are fabulous. I would never use Refresh again, even if they offered it again.

Been paying them until it reaches 500 and ask for refund of my money they only gave me 300 they said they will keep the 200 as interest! Seriously? They get interest from my own money? Are there anyway we can stop them from doing this! They are scammer! I don't want anymore people to get victimized by them. This is serious! It's people's HARD EARNED money!
Please don't be a victim!

Online sign up. They requested all my id photo's and my online bank info also wanted me to send them my verification code sent from phone to log in to my TD bank. That's total scam and wrong in everyway. At that point i stopped the setup. And had to change all my cards and info. Sadly they have my photo id and sin numbers

Sent $500 for the secured card after approval. Told 6 weeks later there's a "card shortage" so they're closing my account. Won't return my deposit as I no longer have a Canadian bank account. I'm not letting the company keep my funds. I have a child on the way in 4 months and won't even let that stop me from doing everything possible to get my money returned. If it means a lengthy legal battle, so be it. They'll end up having to reimburse me for the legal costs anyway.

If you are looking for a Secure Credit card, look somewhere else and stay away from Refresh Financial!
The customer service of this company is absolutely terrible and their system unreliable.
Their app shows data that is not accurate.
I've been having problems with my account for 4 days now!
This is 3rd time I have the same problem with Refresh Financial: I make a payment via etransfer, I get confirmation from Refresh Financial that funds have been deposited, their App shows and reflects my payment and credit available however All transactions are declined for lack of funds, unbelievable!

I was a client of refresh financial was a terrible. I applied to them contributed money as they promise to boost my credit but after couple of months paying nothing is happening. The worst scenario every time you call them they will hold you for so long. According to them they just open for Tuesday. I stopped my contribution because I am bit worried look they just using my money and have nothing in return. Don't be fool with them once you missed your payment they will huge charge you and they ask you that you owe them. This is a joke, you contribute it's your money once you cancel you will get nothing trust me. Don't be the next victim if you need for information I am willing you show you the proof of my contributions and when the cancellation of my account. I'm glad I stop my contributions.

It has taken me over half a year to cancel my account, which was paid in full with the security funds. It still shows as open on my equifax report, stating I have missed payments and a balance owing. On my transunion report it finally shows as closed. It took several complaints and dozens of emails with their 'customer care' team to get anything done, and my issue is still unresolved. If you want a giant headache that will haunt your credit report long past the time you close the account, choose Refresh. If you want sanity and peace of mind, don't open any accounts with them or apply for any of their products. They simply do not care.

Completely frustrating and infuriating.
I got their secured card and their credit builder loan.
They boast about their FAST credit rebuilding... what a joke... you're basically paying them to damage your credit.
My card showed up on my credit report today finally after 4 months. I've only used the card a couple of times and paid the balance within 2 or 3 days of using it. I've never been late and havn't even used the card for the past 2 months. All of my statements have a $0 balance.
So today my credit score is down 20 points because Refresh reported me as 30-60 days late for January. November and December weren't even reported.
They are almost impossible to contact.
This is their fault and I want them to fix it.
Why should I have to go through the hassle of filing disputes with both credit bureaus.
Their credit builder loan is a joke too, it's a reverse loan where you pay them bi weekly for 3 years but they charge you interest on your own money. In the loan agreement it states that they will report to the credit bureaus on a monthly basis but mines only been reported twice in 6 months.
Check out all the negative reviews they have with the BBB. It sounds like there are a lot of frustrated people who havn't received their security funds back... OR Refresh has actually damaged their credit as in my case.
They're located in Kelowna BC, I'll definitely be dropping in for a little "chat" next time I'm down that way. (If they're still in business)

Of three automated bills that I tried to use the card for, insurance, cell, and internet, only the cell bill was able to process. The card number was accepted in TD's insurance billing, but all transactions were declined which resulted in the service doing far more harm than good. The internet billing could not even be set up. The only thing the card could be used at with any reasonable consistency was retail services, which I have a preferred method of payment that doesn't send email alerts warning of utilization above 30%. Payments made to the card were often delayed by up to 2 weeks, or were inconsistent enough that there was no reasonable way to determine if the electronic funds transfer/bill payment would even be applied in a given month, sometimes taking 3-4 days, other times taking 2+ weeks. Overall, if possible, I would give a rating lower than 1 or in the negatives.

Please make sure if you want to rebuild your credit do not use Refresh Finance. Overall horrible credit builder. No support from anybody. Very easy to take your money but it takes forever to refund if it's there turn to give it to you.

I paid into this for 8 months, and was lead to believe that after paying a total of 13 payments, I would receive all my money back. Well i lost contact for a number of years and couldn't find the company again. (out of my control) I finally found them and was going to pay the rest of the payments off to receive the rest of my money. I was told that they wanted me to finish paying the other 5 payments plus interest and I would not receive the money I paid into it at all. How can they expect me to pay interest on my own money and NOT pay me back the money I have paid into to it at all? Totally confused how a place like this stays in business at all. Totally dissatisfied with this company, and I recommend people stay away from them completely!

It's all about making money on their end but no increase in your score and then in addition they scam you into a loan, don't briefly explain the details of it, and when you decide to opt out, you literally get a few dollars back because they keep it all.
All money that your supposed to be saving to increase your credit they end up keeping.
Like I said stay away, they take your money big time and you get no results.
I am beyond disgusted, still don't know how they are in business with all the negative reviews I've read.

I apply loan its approval but no not i get. Other thing still i have pay monthly its unfair its call credit buld loan

I signed up two years ago for Refresh Financials secured credit card and secured loan. After the first few months, they began forgetting to submit my monthly payments to the credit bureau. In January this year, I noticed they were still several months behind so I closed my secured loan with them after having to write them monthly to remind them to submit the payment to the bureau and they still forgot. I kept the secured Visa card in hopes of still building my credit. It is currently September 28'21 and my secured card has not been reported to the bureau since January. I have sent several emails to try and fix this and they are unable to. I've called the credit bureaus to try and fix it however I was unable to and they told me to get Refresh to reopen the account to begin reporting. What happens was when they closed my secure loan, they closed my secured credit card instead. They have not helped build my credit and actually do the opposite. Do not waste your time or money.
