3 times we tried to book a flight and hotel and 3 times it "failed" and when they call you, it's mysteriously higher. Sketchy. The last time, I was told they held the flight price. They told me the updated hotel price, which was about $30 lower than the one I had, yet the total was $87 more for two people, for a net increase on the "held rate" for the flight of $147 for two people!
One more Easter bate and switch promo from redtag. Corporate Canada treats it's people as kids. They want us to be stupid while they remain smart.
I have been a loyal customer of Redtag for over 10 years, consistently booking at least two vacations annually through their website. Recently, I was assisting a coworker with browsing vacation options during our downtime, and upon reviewing my most recent invoice from October, I noticed an issue regarding the non-medical cancellation charges. I was billed $250 per person (for two people), whereas the original booking clearly indicated a price of "starting from $97" or something similar, well under $100.
When I contacted customer service, I was told that I should have reviewed the details on the day of booking, and I was accused of providing inaccurate information. The representative also claimed that the final price is always clearly displayed in the summary, which was not the case in my situation. I was only given an estimate, and when I checked the website again, the price appeared as initially listed, but the final statement showed a significant price increase.
Additionally, I noticed that the booking process can be misleading. The displayed price would often change once I proceeded with the booking, increasing by several hundred dollars. These price adjustments were displayed in small text in the top right corner, which could easily be overlooked, especially when booking on a mobile device.
As a long-time customer, this experience has been very disappointing. I would appreciate a resolution to this issue, as I am considering taking my business elsewhere if this matter is not addressed. This is the first time I have encountered such problems with Redtag, and I hope to see a more transparent and customer-friendly approach moving forward.
I want to share my terrible experience with an Air Canada vacation package which i booked from redtag. I booked an all-inclusive package from Montreal to Cancun, but upon arrival, the service was disorganized and chaotic. I had to track down my shuttle from the airport to the resort and back, with no instructions provided. The contact person I had, Doris, was unresponsive to my calls and emails.
When I finally reached her about my return shuttle, she instructed me to go to the facility desk at 8:50. However, when I arrived at 8:40, there was no one from Air Canada there, and the hotel staff asked me to wait outside. Eventually, when Doris arrived, I learned the shuttle had already left. After repeated calls to her with no response, I sought help from the hotel bell staff, who suggested I wait for another shuttle, but it would cost $60.
When the shuttle arrived, I discovered it was also from Air Canada, but the driver refused to take us without the extra fee. After some negotiation, we agreed on $50, only to find the shuttle was nearly empty. This experience felt fraudulent, and despite following all the necessary steps, I was met with indifference. I'm extremely disappointed with Air Canada's service.
I booked a trip on March 7th to Mexico to leave on April 7th, didn't buy insurance… My friends passport was sent in to be renewed on March 13th… March 25 she calls, no record of receiving your passport! PANIC MODE …drove 5 hrs spent 2 days in line ups to submit for second time… Fast forward to April 3rd … Call and still not processed…Friend Calls Manulife and they say you can add insurance up to day before. Perfect! So then I call Redtag and they tell me I'm basically hooped… Can't cancel, can't change to other people and can't change for 2 wks after April 7th …. I was sick to my stomach, $4000 gone! I had an a very patient gentleman by the name of Fedrick, after me being relentless lol, 2.5 hrs later I was offered a one time deal! Change tickets to April 21st ( my 2 wk option I had suggested at beginning}lmao… I was charged $100 per person to change and the difference in tickets, total of $720… moral of this please BUY insurance, make sure all passports are current before booking!… I want to send koodos to Fedrick Das you were amazing for being so polite and working with me!
I recently booked a vacation package to the Bahamas for my wife's 50th birthday through redtag.ca, and unfortunately, the entire experience turned out to be a nightmare.
Initially, we were excited about the trip, but our enthusiasm quickly turned to disappointment when we started hearing and reading negative reviews about the hotel we had booked. Concerned about the quality of our accommodations, we decided to upgrade our package.
This is where the problems began. Despite numerous attempts to reach our booking agent, Darren, via phone calls and emails, we received no response. It was incredibly frustrating to be ignored and left in the dark, especially considering the urgency of our situation.
When we attempted to seek assistance from other agents, we were met with the same unhelpful response - that only the original booking agent, Darren, could make the necessary changes to our reservation. This runaround left us feeling abandoned and powerless.
In the end, we had no choice but to cancel our vacation altogether. The entire experience was not only unacceptable but also incredibly unprofessional.
I cannot express enough how disappointed and dissatisfied we are with the level of customer service provided by redtag.ca. It's evident that they prioritize making sales over genuinely assisting and supporting their customers.
I strongly advise anyone considering booking through redtag.ca to proceed with caution. Based on our experience, their lack of responsiveness and willingness to help in times of need is deeply concerning.

I will warned you now, never book with them ever. They don't know how to communicate nor do they even try to help you. Their customer service sucks, it's like talking to a brick wall. Not only did they leave me frustrated and angry, they charge me extra for whatever stupid reason they thought was okay to charge me.They took a week to get back to me and the lady handling my booking didn't know what she was doing. So, please, to save you the trouble never book with them even if they supposedly promise a "cheap" all inclusive trip.
Do not trust Red Tag Web page. I booked 14 days all inclusive vacation 5 star hotel, Red Tag web page was showing 5 star hotel and I contacted customer service to book. I confirmed with the customer's service representative to ensure the hotel is a 5 star and was told it was. I also took a screenshot of the listing showing 5 star to share with friends as to where to book and the hotel name because they were also planning to go with us. One week before departure Red Tag changed the same package to 4 star hotel. When I contacted them for an explanation they refused to accept responsibility for there mistake and pass the error off on me to figure it out with a third party. The third party did not respond and I was stuck with paying 5 star prices for a 4 star hotel. The worst part is the hotel was garbage.
I paid 1800$ CAD (flight only) from montreal to varadero for me, my wife, my daughter 4 years old and my infant of 1 year old. I was supose to come back the 27th of january 2024 and I got an emergency my son got sick and I had to leave the 24th today. I called them to change my flight they wanted 1000$ more to change my flight for the same flight same plane same hour on the internet was 500$. I tried to explain to them they didnt want to listen to me I spoke to Alen customer service representive he continued asking for 1000$. I asked to speak to a supervisor he told me he will call you back in 4 hours. Finaly after I got mad at him he transfered me to Joe Gupta supervisor. He didnt even let me explain my situation and he hanged up in my face. After Mr. Gupta sends me an email that I was rud and that I hanged up in his face. Unhuman and lying supervisor.
I am only writing this review as I wrote another review on another site and got a response back that made no sense and accused me of things that had nothing to do with my original complaint. This was done to discredit me and take away from the real issue at hand. I am writing reviews everywhere now because of this. The agent does not understand basic English making a conversation very difficult as I had to coach the agent on English language skills.
I purchased my first vacation package to a resort in the Dominican Republic through Red Tad although the vacation provider was WestJet. Our flights were postponed because of bad weather and we reached out to Red Tag because, with the change, we lost 3 days of our vacation. Their answer was: reach directly WestJet.! Why then should we use a third party for your vacation if when there is a problem, their solution is to talk to the provider?
I booked all-inclusive to Jamaica on Jan. 7,2024, for $1,799 per person. To our surprise, the price dropped right the next day and today even dropped more by $130 per person! I called Red Tag and they simply said sorry we can't do anything. Will never use Red Tag again and will never recommend it to others.

Booked all my trip with them and everytime again and again i been disappointed. Never book with them scammers
I would advise against booking with Redtag as I have just started my vacation from hell. In October I booked a DIRECT flight from Ottawa to CAYO COCO. On November 27th I received my itinerary. My itinerary said leaving at 9 am with a stop in Dominican Republic. This has now become a nightmare and a 7 hour flight and also 1 day less on my 7 day vacation that I paid full price for. When I called red tag on this matter I was told to call sunwing which in return told me to call redtag. I have asked on several occasions for a refund so I can rebook my vacation which is December 12th. I have had nothing but trouble and negative responses from Redtag. Then today they called and told me it was MY problem because I booked myself on their WEBSITE. Like I told them if it was my website I certainly wouldn't treat people like they do. When we book on these sites we don't argue about the price or do we call them and tell them we'll pay later. We pay for our holidays and we should get what we pay for NOT what they want to give us. I refuse to accept these changes and only found out about them the day I received my itinerary. Sunwing and Redtag suck.
Sell you one thing, and provide you something else...then blame the flight company (in this case air canada. Never again
I've never booked with redtag before but I received a gift certificate as a Christmas gift and wanted to make my flight a little cheaper. I went to book online but there is no spot online to input your gift card code so you have to call in to book. The representative found the exact flight I wanted which was great, took all my information and then took my gift card code. He told me they had to verify my gift card and when I asked how long it would take he said "an hour or so" I waited 18 hours no call back. When I called back the price of the flight had gone up! They said there's nothing they could do. When I found a flight with the same price they said they couldn't book a flight with sunwing with my gift card. I told them this didn't make sense as you can use your gc to book all inclusive with sunwing on redtag, they said "that's different". (This was all with a supervisor mind you) th e phone disconnected and he didn't call me back. I had to start the process all over. I finally decided to cave and pick the flight I originally wanted so I could use my gift card (at a higher price). I go through the whole process of booking the ticket to receive my itinerary with my last name spelled wrong, I spelled it 5 times. Worst experience ever and I didn't even go in full detail how bad. I was on the phone for 3.5 hours. Never again.
Stay away from this company, they are scammers. If you need to cancel your trip in some unexpected situation, they will try to steal all your money, and you will lose a lot.
I booked my family Los Cabos vacation with Red Tag Vacations this year. The website was easy to navigate and quick too. When it came time to paying for the trip I contacted their customer service. I received excellent service from Ola in their Toronto office. She even was able to provide me with seat selection! I am very impressed with the friendly and helpful customer service and have no hesitation in booking through them again.
Bad customer service. Changed my direct flight to one with stops. Their email went to my junk mail and I was unaware.
Not only good quality.but mixed with low quality is cheating.
I purchased on jean from red tag yas mall.it was made from Bangladesh, tagged with red tag.
3 bucket full of black color waste has received. Cheap and low. Complained online. Customer care did not mind.
Be care full while purchasing with red tag.
Answer: No they do not. I've had a price drop and they found a way out - turns out i paid for an upgrade and hence was not eligible for any price drop guarantee.
