I work for a school that partners with Redshelf, they are absolutely horrible to work with. First of all they hardly ever post charges to our students accounts on the agreed upon dates, to exacerbate this, there is a total lack of communication from them about this. Countless ignored emails while we are left in the lurch not knowing when funds can be stipend out to our students because we don't have all charges on the ledger. Secondly, the consistently charge incorrect amounts (different than the listed amount) for books, when they bring this up once again nothing is done, often for months. If you are a school do anything you can to not partner with this joke of a company and if you are a student just know if your loan stipend money is late getting to you, it probably not the schools fault if they partner with Redshelf.
You can access the books from anywhere and anytime. You can create your own study guide for your test preparation.
I am unable to access my simnet e book. I contacted redshelf and they advised me to contact McGraw-Hill. (passing the buck) I contacted McGraw hill and they told me to contact the college bookstore. The college bookstore told me to contact redshelf.
I bought a book from here a few weeks ago for class. It worked fine for about a week and then completely blocked all my access to my book. I contacted support multiple times but they just kept changing the status to solved without actually helping me at all DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.
While providing textbook for classes for university students, the organization has no agreement to provide supplemental files and data for the textbooks. Is that really a complete service when using a math textbook? It should be clear when accepting the 'Inclusive Access' that all textbook materials are NOT included. Along with the with the warning a path to get the materials or requesting them should be noted.
I have e-mails that redshelf cannot help me. A partial refund should be in order for my time searching for a solution to this issue.

Excellent / Exceptional response in reply to my concerns via email.
Outstanding customer service.
Awesome job Vishaal!
I was trying to purchase my ebook with a U. S Credit card but being physically in Canada. Reached out that evening to submit a request. Mentioned it was time sensitive. I got an e-mall back from "Marshall". IMMEDIATELY. He removed the conditions and I purchased my book within minutes. This is hands down quickest and one of the best customer service experience I had. Plus, we joked back n forth and seem like a stand up gentlemen. Give him a RAISE and Promotion STAT.
I ordered a book for school that had a video serĂa I could not access. I wrote customer service and was helped immediately.
Redshelf is renting a textbook for double the price that Amazon is renting the same book. I asked them if they would be willing to price match or refund me the difference and was denied that courtesy. Despite bad company policy, the customer service was quick to respond and professional.
I was charged for a service that I did not utilize and was tossed from one to the another without any assistance. I Will never recommend red shelf to anyone
Unnecessarily giant sized PDFs (300 mb+) with watermarks so intrusive you are unable to highlight them; they are almost unusable.
Their core product really does not support an acceptable learning experience.
Nice customer service people though. Seem sympathetic in telling you the company's policies.
I emailed redshelf about getting a refund because i purchased the wrong book and my order was non refundable but i emailed them someone answered right away and issued me a refund honestly i will be getting all my books from here now because it is hassle free
Students work at all times of day, many because of non-student commitments. When purchasing a text, students should have a choice to purchase a physical textbook for several reasons. It can be difficult to predict when power outages, system downtimes, internet access issues and unexpected error which prevent you from accessing your text may occur. Students may also want a printed text to keep as a resource after completing the course and RedShelf access options limit the ability to retain this information even after paid for. There should be an option to retain the book without limit even if it means paying a little more for the text.
I have been trying to resolve a problem with sending my books back for two months now. They are extremely hard to communicate with if you have a problem and it has been a terrible experience.
I purchased a book with "lifetime access". It stopped working after 1 month! I have called 3 times and emailed 2 times over the last couple of days and they have "escalated" the issue each time. Is anyone actually going to call me back for this escalation? I have given up and repurchased the book from Kindle/Amazon because clearly I need it for a class. FLAWLESS experience. I will never comes to a 3rd party service like this one again. Rather pay more for RELIABLE customer service.
I was extremely satisfied with the quality I received at RedShelf. I can also say that from my own experience that Victoria is the best customer service representative I have dealt with ever. She was very professional in processing my request in a timely manner. I will definitely come back to RedShelf in future and will definitely recommend it to anyone for shopping.
Always happy to help, Hussain! Glad to hear Victoria was able to provide a top-notch experience.

Worst customer service ever for educational institutions. Ended up getting free samples from a rep. But I really put forth the effort to support and tried to make a $286 purchase.
This software has been the bane of my existence since the start of this semester. I bought the textbook at the start of the semester and the freezes have caused my textbook to become unusable. I legitimately cannot do coursework as a result of this software, if I scroll down any amount it freezes for upwards of 10 minutes. The freezing becomes especially bad when checking answers to textbook questions so if you already bought the book I would recommend against even trying to answer practice questions as it will be a waste of time.
Vishaal was very good - quickly got the code for the student. Problem was solved in about 2 to 4 hours

So I really like online books because I dont have to physically carry a hard copy and I can import or crop the pictures to put into documents. However, you spend nearly the same amount for the book on this site and they will not let you print more than 20% and acn only download once offline. I did the offline download however the file never made it to my coputer and now I cannot redownload. On top of that it doesnt download the full content. For the particular book I have I need to be able to reach the content online and off and be able to print. Waste of money. Buy on another platform or get the physical book.
Answer: It's legit, but it's HORRIBLE and should be avoided at all costs.
Answer: In theory yes - but in practice, I had problems. Your luck may vary (but I've been doing IT for more than half my life, and still work in the sector, and I think they could help themselves by improving or changing the DRM in use).
Answer: The prof of the class required we use this godawful site for our textbooks. Obviously, having a PhD doesn't mean someone is wise enough to look at reviews first.
Answer: Good luck. I've been trying to read a single chapter with only 40 pages for over 10 hours. The shit refuses to load pages in a timely manner.
