Would I be able to download the pdf to my computer/USB instead of the browser? Or is that the only option avaible on RedShelf?

In theory yes - but in practice, I had problems. Your luck may vary (but I've been doing IT for more than half my life, and still work in the sector, and I think they could help themselves by improving or changing the DRM in use).
