Reading Plus

I don't know why my school depends on this website so much. The stories? Boring and useless. NO, I don't want to learn about the origins of coffee beans, and I don't want to read all seventy stories about Walt Disney. (Seriously, I've lost track of all the Disney stories I've read.) And if you think I'm just saying this because I'm bad at it, I have news for you. I'm four years above grade level, reading at 328 wpm (and I would put it higher if I had the option to.) I guess the vocabulary is a little bit better than the stories. Anyway, don't get it. It's overpriced and dumb.

My school assigns us 6 reading lessons every week. It's very dreadful for me and it is like a weekly chore. The reading lessons are too long and boring to keep my interest, and overall I just don't enjoy how much time and irritation I have to put into it weekly. On level L and up I can only get one wrong, if I get another one wrong I have to do it again to get a green. This is bizarre and I want this program to be removed from our school.

Oh, ReadingPlus, you've turned vocabulary improvement into a comedy show – a tragic one at that! The vocab words zoom by faster than my hopes of actually learning something. It's like a game of "blink and you miss it," but I didn't sign up for a vocabulary version of Whac-A-Mole.

And then we have the guided window, attempting to guide me through the chaos. It's like having a GPS that insists on taking you through a maze instead of a straightforward route. Bravo, ReadingPlus, for turning education into a slapstick routine.

If laughter is the best medicine, then consider me cured, thanks to the unintentional comedy you've created. I'll be recommending ReadingPlus to anyone in need of a good laugh – just don't expect to improve your vocabulary in the process.

This horrible site makes you want to die from extreme stress and over whelming pressure. If you want to live dont play its game of torture. Only insane people would try this out, if you want to feel extremely angry and other bad emotions try 1 story and let hell break through to you through your god forbidding screen.

I was on reading plus and I had spent about an hour on reading plus only completing 3 out of 5 stories. I was super bored, especially after a long and boring day of school. When I finished my five stories, it was 10:00 pm. And I had started at 7:30, so I two and a half hours of my day doing something rated 1.33 stars. I cried myself to sleep that night due to the stress I had faced with a test I got a 20% on, hard math homework, and reading plus. In my opinion, I think reading plus is the meaning or trash. I am a student barley getting by at the end of the day due to stress and this takes it to a next level. I am clinically depressed with no memories and/or happiness in my life. School is the only place I socialize. The English department in most schools assign reading plus. Im normally a hard working student but reading plus always assigns way too much one time I was doing my reading plus then all of a sudden I felt a pain in my chest I passed out and woke up at the doctors.My Friend recalls me saying 'reading plus I need to do my reading plus' while I was being put to sleep in the hospital. My teacher had given me a detention. I hd never gotten a detention before. I cried until my eyes swoll. I didn't go to school for 2 days. I believe this website barley helps with reading. If teachers want a reading platform then I would recommend things like epic reading, or online books. ANYTHING BUT READING PLUS.

I've been using this app for school for 2 years now and I still hate it. I hate the seereaders how do they expect you to read a whole passage by only seeing 4 words at a time, not being able to go back and reread what you read sometimes, and you have to answer 10 questions and brings your score down when you look back into the passage. You cant be stopped to do that on paper. Why can't they just let you read the whole freaking text without blurring 97%. That's how you fail it.

The fact this is a paid program bothers me, the site looks like its from 2013, and makes tons of kids miserable. The passages are about as entertaining as watching paint dry, and it sounds like they're written by third graders. If you want to improve kids reading speed, just teach them some basic strategies like: Don't read every word on the page. For improving comprehension Reading Plus is again obsolete. With the horrible stories they offer I might as well analyze a Mo Willems book. If you're gonna make kids answer questions at least make the books about something the kids are remotely interested in.

As a student I use reading plus and let me tell you it's hard work. The readings are really not that interesting and some questions I just have to think more instead of just memorizing the readings such as meanings, some are easy, are hard

I honestly don't hate this app. Yes,it is quite boring and annoying to do when being forced. But, it is also sometimes helpful. Yes, I understand most people might not like it but when you are just in the mood for reading a short and simple book I feel as if it could be possibly entertaining! Most books on here can be put into to categories.1 boring and unpleasant to read and.2 fun and interesting! One story that I found very fun was about a child who helps his family find a mystery about his families missing chicken leg (cooked of course) and I smiled and chuckled while reading it! It was a very fun book! I don't understand all the dramatic hate reviews written by 7th graders who are cursing and being disrespectful. I think the app could use some teaks here and there but other then that. Pretty good!

This website is so annoyingly horrible. It gives uninteresting stories that take a long time to read, and if you fail one, you have to start over again, reading another freakishly long story. Normally, you will have to read 3 to 5 stories every week, which is crazy. Reading plus is such a bad website, that i would rather read a book on the entire history of the universe than use reading plus. Also, ratio.

On top of what Cavs Connect said, the ReadArounds give horrible definitions that make absolutely no sense and just cause confusion. The design of the website and the way it works just makes it worse

Along with the fact that the stories here are pretty boring, I wasn't even able to answer a multiple answer question because the reread GUI covered up one of the answers, forcing me to use a reread. Seriously mf?

When i Used to use reading plus they I would read all the stories but one time i came across this one story when they said after the war lots of people wanted to help the jews which was inaccurate and when a mae a complaint they said that they supported jews and did not want to kill them.

I went here to buy myself a single-shot rifle and then Ronnie McNutt came up to me and gave me this mindblowing Samsung s10+ and I broke up with my girlfriend then said "Hey guys, I guess that's it!" and the ringtone started playing. Mindblowing company if you ask me. I also got the new McNutt from McDonalds and it was delicious. The man below is the people who gave me the samsung s10+ over the horizon.

My child's school does reading plus and its so boring. It hasn't even improved thieir reading or their vocabulary. So please spend your time on other things RP devs because all the kids hate this app and I do too. Everyday my children come home in anger because they have their stupid reading plus assignments.

This website is boring, useless, tiring, stupid, and just plain nonsense. I'm forced to do it every single day in school and the only thing I've accomplished was migraines. Reading a normal book is more fun and actually interesting. Also, one thing to confess, I don't use reading plus and yet I still score in the top 10 for the reading plus test. DON"T RECOMMEND
