This app is filled with pages of questions/answers written by pedophiles. New ones appear every day, without being removed. But if the moderators think you aren't using your real name, and a real picture of you, they will block you from using your account. If you disagree with someone and they think you're being mean, your comment gets removed. A girl asked a question about why she cries in school when thinking of her dead father, and a man responded that she's manipulative or attention seeking. I commented back "you're crazy" and my comment was marked as offensive and removed. This app should not only never be used by anyone, but it also needs to be taken down. Its rules are backwards and its a sesspool for perversion.
Horrible site. Full of liberal atheist science worshiping "know it alls" that have everything figured out. They band together like a pack of wolves and pounce on poor folks that might have alternative points of view. They don't even give them a civilized chance to argue their points before the bullying begins. The moderation in these cases is horrible. If you try to defend someone and offer arguments in defense, the wolf-pack turns on you. Some of the information is useful. Most of it is fluff from self professed arm-chair experts. Not a place for a civilized discussion of abstract ideas by real knowledgeable people of any kind. They would have burned Galileo before the inquisition ever got hold of him, if they had existed in that time.
I've tried it for awhile now and found it almost impossible to reply to most posts and found it heavily overmoderated. It's nothing more than an echo chamber for liberal world views. Any dissenting opinion is quickly shut down. One supposed Christian site is run by a new ager pushing his reincarnation theology and outright blasphemies against the word of God.
The questions are either pointless, ridiculous, or straight up trolling. While the answers are either unnecessary long, biased, or just completely nonsensical. And don't try to disagree with anything these self-centered said, although most of the time they won't rage out, however they will mock you like street thugs and disgust you with their cringy superiority complex, which are somehow worse than outraging.
Also, what kind of website forces you to give and show your entire real name all the time? Isn't that already in the area of privacy invasion?
My last review was intercepted and not posted.
Quora is full of hacks via google. They work in concert with adult websites and telemarketers to share private info and hacked data.
The details of my experiences are too many to list.
Several key Quora members from Atlanta and Forrest Park, Ga have paid me a visit to "have a looksie".
All data recorded. Names, cars, addresses, all from these scum that have been following persons like myself. All radical leftists telemarketing scum.
After a movie review (it seems did not like) Quora say my name is no my name, and has blocked my Profile, you know what quora, last name with a single letter exist. Definitely use your own system and ask about it.
When I joined Quora I found it somewhat interesting. I soon realized that it was nothing more than a sleazy gossip web rather than knowledgable people answering questions. Repetitive questions, no controversial comments the moderators don't like, they make it difficult to leave. Censorship by those who think they are smarter than you and exploiting the participants by slyly interjecting commercial ads. Not at all the unbiased exchange of ideas. A farce.
No matter how well you research and source your answers. If your answer is detrimental to the far left agenda it will be deleted. I've written many answers about the financial connections between media corporations and political activism. I poured days of research into these answers and diligently sourced all of my claims. But most of my answers were hidden, while snarky emotionally driven answers with no sourcing remained at the top. It seems that moderation at Quora is hellbent on enforcing an echo chamber which destroys the entire purpose of the site.
Terrible community, dog$#*! moderation, selective censorship and they constantly reward malignant liars by monetizing their answers and deleting the comments of people who dare stand up to their cash cows. Terrible source of information above all and full of bull$#*! questions like "my IQ is 247.4, what does this mean?" And legitimate questions get taken down because someone on the moderation team's feelings got hurt.
Wasted my time on this poor excuse of an app, couldn't even look up info for my wisdom teeth without answering 20 questions and being forced to follow people. Will stick to regular google, total waste of my time and patience.
Quorum banned me without a warning and nearly all my content was uplifted and positive they just barely me and removed all me posts. They kept my Space even though they can't upload or ask questions.
They allowed the most moronic idiot questions so strongly that it blows the mind. Yet i want to get my content in on the internet I will help the creat my own site
Contrary to what people say Quora is actually a wonderful and useful site to find likeminded people. It has pretentious community of narcissistic dimwits of >500 IQ with too much time just like myself. People who left bad reviews just cant fathom the height of intellectual discourse. The only reason I give 4 star is because Quora has yet to do away with the obnoxious, informative politically neutral writers who refuse to conform and ruin the experience by making the rest of us look bad. If only they can eliminate these users the site will be perfect.
I was banned from Quora for absolutely nothing. Now they will not allow me to reregister again.I don't understand why QUORA will not let me in when I've done nothing wrong!
Quora is an amazing resource that fills the information gap that is not provided sites like wikipedia. If you want informed opinions, know-how, and sage advice, this is the place to go. The value is in the users - want to ask details on a hot new startup? Very good chance the CEO/CFO will answer it. Questions about the Mavs? Ask Mark Cuban. I really hope they can keep the quality high as the site gains in popularity.
I somehow was automatically given a Quora account via my Google account which was convenient. I was deleted because my answers were too explicit or too honest. They even $#*!ed that I was using my God Given nickname and not my real name. Curiously they kept my account active through a loophole using my other e-mail address which is strange.
Play by their rules only if you like using Quora to ask and answer stupid questions. If you can tolerate censorship, you will fit right in. This is not for everyone.
Quora started out interesting and borderline useful. Frequently short on academic type facts but quite a bit of still useful and interesting personal experience anecdotal responses. It has since sank into a pretentious elitist leftist echo chamber where any vitriol or venom from the left is heroic, and challenging with fact from anywhere but the Bay Area Newthink party line "violates the be nice be respectful policy". It has pretty much ceased to be either useful or interesting and may even be encouraging to leftist nutcases intent on dangerous things.
Highly evil site having evil admins and moderators who try to stop approval of answers containing truth. Most admins nowadays approve only evil posts and harass I innocent. Who the hell hired moderators for quora.no wonder I understand quora has bad reviews and no one even uses.
I would give Quora ZERO stars if I could. This website is filled with drama, spam, and nudity. I only signed up because I wanted to help give answers to questions about topics that people don't know about. All Ive seen so far is people being bullied because of their race, body type, sexuality, and for having different opinions about certain topics. I have also seen people arguing back and forth about things that are not that important. Finally, I've seen people using Quora as a way to hook up and posting nude pictures of themselves. People lack the knowledge that there are certain individuals that use Quora that shouldn't even be seeing trash like that, and people who just don't care to see that either. PS: I also want to bring up the fact that Quora moderators and customer support doesn't do anything about certain things (harassment, bullying, nudity). They just don't care about anything that goes on with Quora. My recommendation: Don't Use Quora
Everyone on that god forsaken sight is rude, pretentious, and mindless know-it-alls who actually know nothing. Ask any harmless question, and you'll get a rude and abrasive answer no matter what you ask. A waste of time.
I would not waste my time on this site. You are supposed to express your views but there are certain guidelines that are misleading.
I have only seen 1 of my posts. It's not a legal site to post information on.
Answer: Yes, the questions about penis size and virginity seems to sponsor endless discussion!
Answer: Because Google put Quora answers at the top of their search results when people search for a question they see the answer from Quora. Which is stupid because most answers on Quora aren't even correct lol. Idk why Google wants to promote that site, if they own it or they want to buy it and incorporate it into Google at some point. I think the site is awful and it should be shut down because it's just a propaganda site. You do not see Quora from any other search engine for example duckduckgo. But you see it in Google.
Answer: No, it is obviously leftist but it does on occasion allow questions or replies for short periods of time that are obviously uncomfortable to the "politicaly correct" crowd in a useless attempt to appear unbiased.
Answer: I honestly feel and highly suspect from certain traits that Quora pays Google to be high on the rank and they get *buddy buddy* with the government. Quora is essentially too big to fail. We no longer have capitalism but now live under governmentism which Trump pledges to end but can he? Does he really mean what he says? That is the million $ question.
Quora has a rating of 1.5 stars from 612 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Quora most frequently mention social media, hate speech and left wing. Quora ranks 79th among Question And Answer sites.
