“Thankfully Refunded”

Mistakingly, I signed up with Quibids not realizing any charges would be taken up front. I panicked when I read the confirmation email. I immediately tried contacting them. I could not get the live chat to do anything. I did send an email describing my situation. In a timely manner my email was responded to and within three days i was refunded in full.

The people that operate this site are utter thieves. They make up fake users and bid against honest people that use their site. It is so obvious. Completely unregulated. Not really sure why they are allowed operate in the US. The FTC, SEC, some agency should look into this company. It should be criminal. It's one thing to bid against other legitimate users, but they have set it up and run it so that you hardly ever win. They collect two, three, ten times more than a card is worth and then in the end simply take it from a potential winners, so they aren't even out of pocket. Congrats to the owners and operators on your scam, but karma is $#*!. I wish for you nothing more and nothing less than you deserve. You really are despicable people. One day you will find out. I only wish I could witness it. I apologize for my "personal" remarks, but when someone steals from me, I don't like it so much.

I was too quick to join and didnt read the fine print and was charged 27.00 for 45 Qui bids, still have no idea how to bid or how the site really works. I tried to bid and was told to start off smal
Ler Lol. Anyway I sent an email asking that my card be refunded since they never told me they were charging my card or any amount I was confident they would promptly refund my card as soon as I ask rather than risk a complaint to a higher source. I still dont agree with the site saying Hey you need to just register your card to start bidding! And then charge the card without telling you. Thats complete BS and Im sure alot of people dont notice a small charge and never bid so Qui Bids benefits. Ill never go to the site agin. But... The customer service is top notch! Lol

If you wish to lose money then sign up. If you want to win which is still risky you have to become a power bidder. This involves you losing hundreds of dollars to establish a name for yourself to then only start to possibly win some money back which may take months to a year, essentially making it a career. $68 to win $25. That's reality. Also they add a bid pack to almost every item so when you buy now you are losing because now those bids will be voucher bids which apply to nothing. Save your money and go get something that will make you happy because I promise you this site will not.

I have won quit a few auctions on here however I do think the site is outdated and has several things that need to be repaired. The badges system is a complete mess as is the customer service. They are never willing to work with you and have a "take it or leave it" vibe. Also their "games" offerings do not work even though they show this on their website. I have yet to see one. Anyway this is definitely much fairer than deal dash in my opinion.

Its a scam. I assume they have aughtamated bidding or hired bidders to keep you spending. I was so disappointed with my money. You most likely will loose half your money. You only win stupid items as well. Gift cards for half the money you spent.if lucky!

Offers bid packages with cash back (for product purchases), free daily credits, additional credits at login- all just a scam. No products delivered. Delay excuses include logistics, technical difficulties, promises to rectify the situation- all to no avail.
Company accepted payments, bids, suspended my account, continued to use bids placed despite lockout, ignored all messages, written communication. Attempts to use cash back showed merchant account not enabled. Attempts login showed login failure. No response from company.
Apparently, the people who designed this site have master manipulators to frustrate Consumer Watchdog (Citizens Advice), legal entities and have registered at Companies House in Gibraltar with different information posted on the Auction Site.
Beware!

Now they are making changes, customer has substantial paid in advance for bids, then CORP. makes changes, I can assure you changes made ALWAYS benefit company NOT consumer, and you must live with. I caution you to not pre pay substantial amounts. Prizes are disappearing and being reduced. I believe QUI BIDS may be on final legs prior to termination. Consumers are declining and revenues are REDUCED, I would be surprised if I am wrong!

I used to be a regular on this site, but I do not believe they are the quality site any longer. It is extremely difficult to win a auction. I do not know if they make it more difficult for old members. They no longer have the assortment of gift cards
They once had. When you have played as long as I and many other there are only so many items you could use. I wish they were more diversified and had lower processing or no processing fees.

So today I went Quibids to see if they had fixed the matter that was keeping me from purchasing and claiming my items only to find they had deleted my account. When I hit their reactivate button I found that all my remaining bids= money (77) had been confiscated by them. So basically I have no product, ( not the ones I won or tried to purchase) and now I have no bids left ( bids=money) So I guess I have nothing. I am a waitress working minimum wage it took me all day to earn that $78.50 ( actual amount the debited my account for) I have since posted them on facebook, contacted the BBB and done 3 other reviews on them. To say I am angry at this theft would be an understatement.

Tip for consumers:
So after making a nuisance of myself demanding my money back Quibids has refunded the money to my account. Thank you Quibids for correcting the problem and making it right.

Worst Customer Service Ever

I signed up to Quibids yesterday. I was fully aware they were going to debit my account for $75 for 100 bids which they did. I spent roughly an hour pre bidding going over all the tutorials so there were no surprises there. Long story short after loosing on an item I attempted to purchase it. A red purchasing error sign came up. I called my bank to make sure the problem wasn't on my end. Nope all was go. Then I attempted to reach Quibids customer service. 10 calls later that each ended in a rude message, " This machine does not except messages." CLICK! They have a live chat button that goes nowhere. Finally I do reach Alex who seems nice, he says they will get the issue fixed for me and I can proceed with my purchase. 4hrs later nothing. In the meantime thinking the issue was getting fixed I went back and bid on another item. Each time they debit my bids but when it comes time to claim my item, No Can Do. I try to call again (14 times) NOTHING. I attempt to email them but don't hear back. By this point I don't want to play anymore. I just want my money back. I have requested it but have yet to hear back via email. Huge disappointment!

This is a terrible scam. They first hit you with a $60 fee you know nothing about and then if you are on fixed income retirement you don't have a chance. I just sat and watched a person bid 423 bids for a $9 voucher pkg. You have the same people day after day winning and bullying the other bidders. They will never respond to email complaints.

I happened to see quibids online. So i thought why not give it a try. I bought a 100 bids worth $60. What i noticed/observed that some bidders were bidding way more than they price of an item. How can they bid more that the price of an item? They usually stop you when you reach the total amount of the price you are bid. I don't really get it. They must have a "BOT" bidders. I will never buy bids again. They should investigate this website. THIS IS A BIG SCAM! They're stealing peoples money. May bad karma be with all of you Quibids.

I ALSO didn't realize there was a $60 charge (in addition to buying bids) - They keep telling me that it states the charge as you sign up... which is fine but it must be in very small print because there are a thousands and thousands of people that didn't see it... if Quibids were smart, they would realize how many people are upset about this and change their policy to remove this charge. They make sooooo much money off of these auctions (it's actually a crime how much they make if you ask me) so it would be nice to 'give back' to their customers by NOT charging a fee 'just to be on their site'... Sounds like they need a change sr leadership with this ever-growing and huge money making company... I bet if I check back a year from now... this charge will be removed because there are way too many customers unhappy about this... well, I'm off to write this review on all the other major Review websites…..

I decided to give Quibids a try and registered. As part of the registration process they asked for credit card information, but NEVER told me that I would be charged for $ 60 worth of bids up front. I thought they wanted a credit card IN CASE I wanted to bid. Then the bogus charge showed up. When I tried to remove it, it was very difficult and could not get satisfaction from Quibids and had to contact my credit card company insist that they not pay them, which Amex did do. But it is worse than that.

I received a notification from Amex that Qubiids had charged me twice. Once was for the $ 60 that I never authorized and another $ 60 was charged for a bid that was made by some woman I never heard of for a Cuisinart machine and Quibids had sent a letter to Amex telling them that they should ignore my request to not pay them since I was responsible bids by some unknown woman with a different name than mine in a different state with a different email address for a Cuisinart machine. I called Amex and let them know that I clearly never bid on any Cuisinart machine and that I did not know this woman. Amex told me that they would ignore the Quibids request to allow that charge to go through, but I have no idea what will happen with these people going forward. I have no idea what other tricks they might have up their sleeves.

Caveat Emptor!

Hi Rich. It sounds like you purchased the starter bid package of 100 bids for $60 (at $0.60/each) when you entered your credit card info on the purchase page. We can assure you that this page clearly states what you are entering your credit card information to purchase. With that said, we offer full refunds for unused bids in your account. Since you didn't provide an order number or account info, we can't look into your specific details, but it sounds like a portion of your bids were used on a Cuisinart item. Unfortunately we can't refund bids that are used in auctions because they ultimately affect the outcome of auctions and it wouldn't be fair to other participants who you were bidding against. Please send us a private message here, or reach out to us at support@quibids.com and we'll be happy to issue a refund for the remaining bids in your account, or we can explain any detail of our site so you can have a better understanding. Regardless, we appreciate that you took the time to leave your feedback here. Have a great day!

This site is a complete scam, first of all nowhere in the print of when you're reading and inputting credit card information does it say anything about being charged per bid, being charged to bid is a ridiculous institution at best, not being able to bid on the item until it is down to it's last ten minutes and then the timer resets every time somebody puts one on it? Absolutely ridiculous, i've read there take and they say "scam" is a very offensive word to use when talking about the company, well it is the definition of scam unfortunately.

This site has generous items & gift cards for bid, however extremely difficult for a new bidders because experienced bidders & ones that overbid win the majority of auctions. I have won a few but usually low $ items & cards & only after watching the bidders wear out after placing so many bids it makes no sense to continue bidding against someone who just starts bidding. The same ones keep winning over & over leading me to question whether these are legit. Perhaps if I purchased 1000's of bids & could compete it would be more enjoyable.

My experience with QuiBids was one of the worst experiences of my life. My dealing with them was one that left a bad taste with me. Every time I would try to bid on something they would stop me, tell me I should not bid on anything of value, that was for the experts. I had to bid on lousy, sorry merchandise, and then I would be stopped and told I had to do a buy it now. As far as I am concerned, QuiBids is a bunch of professional rip-off artists.

Hi Darrell. We encourage all new users to participate in the smaller beginner auctions before jumping into the bigger ones with more experienced bidders. This will allow you to learn a good strategy in an easier and comfortable environment. When you feel more comfortable with the bidding system, then you can jump into the more experienced auctions. We do this as a way to protect our customers from losing their bids right off the bat.

I signed up for your service not seeing anywhere that $60 will be charged upon signing. I assumed that my credit card was for future bids. My mistake for assuming. You should post the $60 sign up clearly for all to see. I should NOT have to maneuver through writing to figure this out. You would avoid this current issue if you did so. It would seem that you would not want to deal with this. On the other hand, the theory may be that people will try anyway and then you do not have to refund.
I have requested a refund. So far no problems with canceling, but I am waiting to see if I truly receive one.

Let me just save you time and money. This site is a SCAM. They lure you in telling you cases where people got flat screen TV's for pennys, and then take you money without you even recognizing it until your money is gone. I just blew $60 in 15 minutes, and got nothing out of it. The government should shut this site down. I am really upset at not losing the money, but at how gullible I was. STAY AWAY!

Please avoid this. The invitation to sign up never ever is upfront in telling you that the your card is being charged immediately. It tells you to enter the info as most sites do to get a sign in and check it out. After that I emailed 2 days ago. Of course no direct or indirect answer. Ok I decide to try it, guess what, I bid on a dual USB charger because I see no one else bidding, and (gullible me) A huge CONGRATUALTIONS that I have won it for. 01c and then it takes me to a screen telling me I won a SCREEN PROTECTOR SET for a phone I DO NOT OWN. I have emailed again... HINT in the future DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANYONE WITHOUT PHONE SUPPORT> NOTE also no chat support I have attempted chat support at different times for 3 days and SURPRISE... always offline or BUSY... THings that make millionaires out of wishful thinkers. :)

Tip for consumers:
Be aware, there chat support has not been available for the 5 times I signed in to chat/ clear things up. Either it is busy or offline. There is no phone support. Hope more people read reviews. I know I will. Also not I allegedly won a dual USB charger, I was congratulated for winning screen protectors. I have emailed them with no direct or indirect or generic response.
