It isn't clear that a dynamic QR code costs $55 a year minimum to upkeep, whereas thr static QR code is entirely free. So they funnel you into wasting your time to incentive you to buy into their useless product.
The site starts off by claiming you can create a free QR Code. However, unbeknownst to the customer, this ends up being a "14 day free trial." If you don't renew, your code stops working. By this time, you have already had the code set up in publications etc... so you purchase their expensive yearly plan-- which ends up autorenewing with NO notice to the customer.
When I disputed my payment with the company, they claimed they sent me a 30 day notice via email. THIS IS NOT TRUE. They did not send any notices. It was also NOT clear when I was duped into purchasing the plan that it would auto renew.
Their customer service sucks and they will not refund you if you dispute the auto renewal, even if you haven't used the service and/or do it immediately after receiving a notice that you were billed (again).
Please stay away from this company. There are MUCH better places to create a QR Code.

We also send customers a reminder email to ensure that they have plenty of time to make a cancellation request before their plan is renewed if they wish to. Occasionally this email can get caught in spam filters, which is not something we have control over.

The links to upgrade so that my FREE qr code would continue to work resulted in looping me back to the home page with no way to upgrade nor to look at plans and pricing. I received NO replies for emails I sent to website support email and to their 'Upgrade Now' emails that were sent to me religiously. I reached out to them Before my code expired. High note: the code worked beautifully during the first 14 days. Low note: Everything after the 14 days.

They communicate that you can create a qr code free. BUT: After two weeks the qr code expires and they force you into a subscription to keep the qr code active. Don't ever use their service. There are a ton of really free tools out there without expiration. Do yourself a favor and use them instead.

This is a crap website so they give you a free trial and generate a code for you then after 14 days when you've printed this on marketing materials they want $120/year billed at once for your QR code smh what a pathetic business model take advantage of people and way overcharge them what a joke!
60 Euros per year to create a QR code. That is bad enough if you know what you are getting into, but they let you create a free account under the guise of creating free QR codes, then once you distribute them, bang. You gotta pay or your code leads nowhere. Then, they autorenew without permission. They also want you to wire money to them? Fishy.
Seriously. Stay away. Even better, if you have adobe creative cloud, create one for FREE in indesign and never pay any extra fees.
Try cancelling it. I mean, actually try to find the link to cancel. There isn't one. Shocker. If you read this, don't for a minute ever consider about signing up. You probably know someone with indesign, they can buy you a coffee for the 5 seconds it takes to create one.

I pride myself on attention to detail and do not recall any mention of a 14 day trial. They deactivated my code which is on a printed poster and I was forced to pay. The cheapest plan is about $68/year. I've placed a reminder on my calendar to cancel way before they have a chance to bill me or charge my card again.

QR code completely stop working after 14 day trial. Paid for a subscription prior to trial ending. So I forward email with a copy of QR code and was told that it couldn't be located, I sent another email with the email I used to sign up for it. I was told it's been escalated and haven't heard anything back.
No mention it runs out after 14 days. By which time I had already printed it out for use on a poster.
Then after not renewing it sends me an email telling me someone had try to scan my qr code, so I'm missing out on a and! Which wasn't possible as I only printed it out once and it's now covered up! Plus I was standing right next to it!
Used QR for wedding registry during free trial and now they have shut it down because the free trial ended. Now I have to pay $120 just to reactivate it. Use any other QR code generator. Avoid this one
The platform works well; it's the customer service that is so bad as to be non-existent. I signed up for a $15/mo. Plan but was charged $191 for a premium plan. I used their "chat box" which is computer-generatedand not interactive. The interface of the chat box is horrible. I canceled my subscription on the billing page but it says that my account is still active for one year. I feel like I just flushed nearly $200 down the commode. There are other QR programs that charge less per month.
They charged me for Advanced and charged me $200 when I clearly did not order that. They send you emails telling you to respond with a question and the email doesn't work. I'm so pissed right now. They tell you $5 a month then charge you $200. They are in no way up front that your code will expire, then they do not tell you that they are billing annually, they sign you up for advanced no matter what you choose, and the emails they tell you to respond to don't allow you to reply. It goes on and on. This company is a scamming predator.

There are dozens of qr code generators that are FREE. This one pretends to be free (no mention of any money at all!) until 2 weeks after you get your code - then they tell you it was actually a trial and you have to pay for it or they deactivate your qr code. It's a great system because by then you have distributed the qr code and they can hold you hostage.
I used this site to make a QR code on a sign for a local non profit dog park/humane society. They deactivated it without warning and now want a monthly fee to keep it active. We are all volunteers and I can't afford to pay every single month just to keep the code active. I also can't afford to make another sign. There is NOTHING on their website to indicate that the code will expire after the trial period. Incredibly shady. I can't believe this is legal.

The website creates QR codes that expire without notice, requiring you to pay a "Ransome" or subscription in order to keep the codes working. The website does not disclose that the "Free" codes expire, leading many users to bring their codes to print, only to find out a few weeks later they will have to pay a substantial amount in order to keep them operational. This website should be investigated.

Your QR code will expire after 14 days unless you pay them at least $65 + tax for a whole year. We sent out a QR code on our wedding invites only to have it expire the first day they arrived. The company's responses to similar reviews say that the customer "must have been using the 14-day trial instead of the free account," blaming the customer for choosing the wrong option, but there is no visible "free" account that I could find anywhere on the site. The only way to even download the QR code is to sign up for a 14-day trial. I have never had a QR code expire on any other code generator I have ever used. I had no choice but to pay the fee. They don't even accept PayPal or Apple/GooglePay, which makes me nervous as I do not like to give my credit card info to unfamiliar companies. QR-code-generator-- if you are going to advertise yourself as free, have an actual, accessible FREE option.

They tell you clearly that the QR codes you create will be free forever, and then ask you to create an account, which is actually a 14 day free trial. But you don't notice that, because you have previously been told the codes will be free forever. And then 14 days later, the QR codes are deactivated and you get a bill - minimum £60, up to £130.

I signed up for what I thought was a free plan. After printing everything with the QR codes, I find out my trial is about to end and I'm not on the free plan at all. Either I give them money, which I now will never do, or I will lose my QR codes. Never use this service.

Be wary of this website. During the trial period, when I attempted to start my free plan, it asked me to pause any dynamic codes (over the one that was allowed under the free plan) which didn't make sense because I only had 1 code. However, I did pause the code I was using, and then proceeded to activate my free plan. However, the free plan button seems to be "broken" and never links anywhere when clicked. This is extremely frustrating and I would just like to activate my free plan and continue using my QR code.

I wouldn't even give 1 star! I had no idea I was dealing with a a free trial! I sent out 100 flyers with a QR code for registration and just found out the code is INACTIVE Now! Who does that? Crooked Jackasses! I would have been willing to pay for a month long subscription to get me through the registration but $120 just pisses me off too badly! So disappointed! If this company actually intends to make it I would suggest some customer service other than your STUPID chat bot! CROOKS!
