Pubby

Customer service (particularly by Mary) is embarrassingly bad. There is no FAQ on the site so you're forced to use the chat. Admittedly, she did respond quickly but with a snarky tone to a simple question.

It's also designed for only US citizens. She stated that you can simply "create an account, make a purchase, and leave a review". Amateur hour - it's not that simple.

Just. Stay. Away.

They promise more reviews than they can deliver-the one review I did get was a three star when all 30 something of my other reviews was 5 star and a few four stars. Very annoying because I saw elsewhere that a few reviewers on the site are just leaving 1 and 2-star reviews, and support just lets them.

"Get 5-10 reviews with our free trial" they said. I paid $25 in one-time fees to get my book in their system for a "FREE" trial and got one review. Then I'd have to have spent money or reviewed other books to get more. That's not what I was there for. I don't have time to add more books to my list, and they claim to have a money back guarantee, but those fees I paid (again for my supposedly free trial) are apparently non-refundable. STAY AWAY!

I pay for the book for the listed price on Amazon, I read the book in an allotted time and post a review. I get credits. The monthly fee is very small compared to a review site. These are verified reviews. My novel? Someone buys it, that I will never know, they, review the book and there we go. The only thing I am unhappy with is the lack of authors taking advantage of this. The more authors with various genres, the better it will get. Customer service has gotten better, but I could get good with more participation.

I had a review and it was nice up until I seen where the reviewer cut me all the way done to nothing.

Pubby is a wonderful resource for authors to pump up their review count. I would have a tiny fraction of the number of reviews if I didn't use this service. I highly recommend it! My only gripe is that it's obvious many people don't actually read my novel. Some skim, some read part of it, some read nothing at all - they simply copy from your book's info page on Pubby and give you 4 or 5 stars. So, although Pubby is a great source for reviews from total strangers, it's not particularly helpful or "true" feedback. Reviews are for the readers anyway, I suppose, but it would be nice to have more people actually read the work. Overall, I recommend Pubby's services though! It's not their fault other authors on there don't actually read!

Pubby is a site where you can get reviews from other authors. It's kind of an exchange, but not really. It just allows you to find people who can actually give your book the time of day; because they want the exact same. And it's enforced quite nicely, so it all works as intended, without having to rely on the goodwill of people (highly unreliable). Me like.

Pubby has been an invaluable source in helping with my book sales. I'm new to self publishing and it's challenging to get verified reviews on Amazon. This has been amazing at getting fantastic feedback from readers.

I appreciate how Pubby has an online chat that answers any questions that may arise. Even more, I enjoy being able to receive reviews that can be difficult to all authors. I wholeheartedly recommend Pubby because it gives my writing good exposure to the reading public. I am a fiction author who enjoys comedic scenarios related to my daily life. This is a fantastic service. I'm so grateful I've found it. I receive wonderful, thorough, specific reviews that really impress me. When I receive negative reviews, their constructive and give me great ideas for improving it. A lot of reviews on this website we're on are old so some of what they say doesn't apply anymore. One thing is that I think the price is $29.99 a month now. And I haven't had to deal with customer service so I can't comment on that. But if you need more reviews on Amazon, you've just found your miracle.

Pubby has been a great resource for me when launching new books or trying to revive an old one. As a self-published author, the first 15 reviews are critical to launching a book. Lets face it, no reviews = no sales. The key to getting reviews is to help other authors get theirs. It's a win win situation. I send up for a year subscriptions after the free trial showed me it was worth the money. I run wellness website and publish short self help books.

This has been a useful service to gather reviews for my book. It takes a little bit of work to do reviews and get reviews, but it's been worth it. I've used it as an opportunity to read some books I probably never would have read otherwise. I've also received many solid reviews from others. I'll be using their feedback to improve my books in the future.

I have tried several different marketing systems to promote my books and collect honest reviews but I have to say this is the easiest I found and the only one is really working. You also have the possibility to download and ready many books for free so you can enjoy your time and leave an honest review on other publisher's work

I was happy with the reviews I was able for receive through the service. It's easy to get the hang of and once you do, the reviews are done promptly and the staff makes sure each review is posted for you. When anything went wrong with a reviewer, they were able to find a new one for me without any problem.

It is really my source for getting quality reviews on Amazon. Once I post my book up for review, it usually takes fifteen minutes for someone to pickup the book, and for a Verified Purchase, it may take a couple of hours. Once in a while, a Verified Purchase Review shows up as a regular review but I get my snaps refunded. Very easy to work with.
