They never send your book. Help shut them down so no more students are ripped off! They took my money but never sent my book. "Thomas" writes but nothing ever arrives!
PriorityTextBook uses fishing and deceptive marketing strategies to sell you the book you are looking for at a much cheaper price comparing to Amazon; but instead, it ships you a different book, the global version, at a price much higher than Amazon.
I asked them to email me the return shipping label so I can ship the book back to them, I got no response from them for over a month.
No custom support options, ignored shipping back info, then asked me to ship to Malaysia for $80 shipping costs per book.
I emailed them on order #******* and got a response from "Thomas" about how he'd let me know what happened to the order and to confirm that I never got it. That was 2 weeks ago. I've tried contacting him since, but to no avail. I ordered my book over a month ago. I payed $71.99 for a book I did not recieve. The whole company is fraudulent.
I ordered a textbook for $80 and it said it was shipped, I was waiting for it and contacted customer service but they never helped me. A week later I received an order that my book was refunded (without me doing that) and no other help.
They sent the wrong book - not the correct book. Incorrect ISBN, picture does not match what was shown on the website. WRONG WRONG WRONG. It was a used Amazon rental too. When I initiated the return, I was told I needed to pay for the return to Malaysia and then they insulted me by sending why international versions are the same. They are not. What they are doing is showing teh North American version, ISBN and then they send you the wrong one or the international version. Knowing that you will not pay for international shipping back to Malyasia. Go to Amazon and rent the book you need. Easy return if needed and you will get the correct book. Dishonest and misleading
I bought a book that I needed for a 5-week course and bought expedited shipping (since I needed it fast), and they "insured" that the book was going to be delivered in 2-4 days. That did not happen! I got the book 1,5 week after I bought it. I talked to the customer service and they were not helpful at all. They where just "waiting for Fedex to reply to them". I did not receive any compensation for the shipping and I got the wrong edition of the book as well!
Beside that, they buy their textbooks from textbookrush.com, really clever of them to put their invoice in my order. I paid $63 dollar for the book and they only plaid $36. Stay away from prioritytextbook.com!
Btw, you have to pay in order to return the book..
They flat out sent me a book that I cannot use. I needed the standard book, which was in the first picture of the item I purchased. It turns out there was another picture of the book but only with SI units, and that is the book I got. I was specifically told I cannot use this book, and I didnt think I was buying it because of the picture, but this is the one I got. Customer service was useless. Now I'm out money, and I even paid extra for expedited shipping. Very annoyed, will never buy from again.
This company said that it was the exact textbook ISBN that I needed for my class. It was not. And when I initaited the return I have to send it to MALAYSIA?!?! Are you kidding me. Do NOT even THINK about ordering a textbook from them. It won't be the right one and good luck getting your money back. A bunch of scammers/liars!
They showed me a picture of the actual book i needed with the same ISBN number and same edition, shipped a different book to me(an international version whatever) with different content from the US version. Missed out on two home works because questions in the book was different from what my instructor gave.
What gets on my nerves is you have to pay for the return shipping after their mess.
Completely fraudulent, no phone number or contact to speak with, I received an international edition even though I entered the correct ISBN number. I even double checked and the photo of the book on my invoice does not match the book that was actually sent. My daughter starts school in days and will not have her textbook.
I wished I had seen this site regarding others reviews on Priority Textbooks. I placed a order for a chemistry book and still to this date have not received it. I have emailed them (x5) to be exact to inform them I have not received book and cancel order. I placed a claim into PayPal hoping this gets resolved and I can get a refund. So today I placed a order into Amazon (should of done in the first place) and it will be here in 2 days. I hope others will research this so called company before purchasing.
Ordered the book and on the day I epected it to arrive I got an email saying I had been refunded, for less the amount I paid!
I placed on order for my textbook. I verified that the textbook had the same ISBN that I needed and that it did not have any wording that said it was an international book. However, I received an international edition. I could not use the book. I requested a return which was approved but I had to pay shipping which cost me $24.50. Apparently the checkout page says they are selling international edition and you must confirm that. I didn't realize this since it was the same ISBN number that I needed on the order (book received was different ISBN). DO NOT BUY FROM PRIORITY TEXTBOOKS, CHEGG IS A MUCH BETTER OPTION.
They sent me the wrong version of the book. I tried contacting them with no success.
Don't be deceived by their cheap prices!
I ordered from here and couldn't believe I was getting a book for $68 that normally cost $245. I submitted my order and received an invoice with the book's ISBN that I was ordering. Book arrived within the week. BUT, it was not the book I ordered. It was an international book. It had a different ISBN, different cover, and the pages were numbered differently. It was a headache for the first week. I tried to return it.
The return address was to Malaysia. Costing me $95 in shipping. I contacted textbooks once again, and they sent me a new address to send it to in Texas. Two days went by and i hadn't sent it out. I got an angry email from the company that I needed to ship it out.
Long story short, they wanted me to send it to another customer. I find this very odd.
This place is a Ripoff! You should not purchase from them. Look at their website carefully. Notice that they do not have a customer contact information or any customer service at all.
They make false promises about delivery of their textbook. For me, they indicated a specfic time for delivery. When the book did not arrive, they did not respond to emails until I contacted Paypal and entered a claim. The book arrived a week later than they indicated and by then, I had purchased a digital copy. I asked for a refund, which they first said they would give me $20 off. However, I had already purchased a digital copy and did not need 2 copies of the book. I told them that all I need was for them to provide a FREE RETURN SHIPPING label, which they refused to do. I had to pay a lot of money to return this book. Fortunately, PayPal is reimbursing some of what I had to spend on shipping.
Do not be deceived by their low prices. They will not meet their delivery time and they know that the average customer will not want to pay the shipping fee back to MALAYSIA, which will cost you a lot of money.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
For me was perfect. Cheaper than amazon and ebay price collusion. I saved 100 dollars in a brand new textbook.
They provide international editions of textbooks. They lead you to believe that they provide both by showing you the cover of the US edition - you think you are ordering US edition, but it is not obvious they will not send you the US edition, nor do they give you a chance.
I did not receive both books. No evidence of second one being sent so I canceled. All of a sudden it appears at my front step making me wonder when they sent it. The books and business is from Malaysia. So good luck everyone. They have too many deceptive practices
Also, no one will buy back and international division.
Answer: No. Be careful. While the picture and ISBN may show correct on teh web, it's most likely an international version. Older and incorrect. Checked with prof and it's not compatible.
