Horrible scamming business! Their website gives you options and leads you to believe that you are getting what you want... only to have something different on the contract... and their guarantee... HA! A piece of used toilet tissue has more substance to it. Beware... stay away from these scammers!
I am very disappointed in Priceline for not being sensitive to the Pandemic that the world is facing right now. We all book flights with hopes of going on a trip and enjoying ourselves. But life brings us things out of our control. I was due to fly to Cleveland but they shut the city down. I have travel insurance through ALLIANZ which is suggested through Priceline and guess what?, in spite of it all, I'm NOT COVERED. So I will lose all my money by canceling my flight. Everyone else waved their fees is there were restrictions. I will never purchase through them again. And i use to love their deals but it's not worth it.
This motel is filthy and a health hazard - stained sheets, moldy floors in corners of room, mold on shower head, heavy smoking by customers outside the room even though smoking is not allowed inside the room, smelly pillows, etc. I had a real concern during COVID-19 to even stay there. I paid $229.23 for this hideous room. My husband, daughter & I were afraid to take showers in the shower because everything was so unclean, and their was a strange film on the shower floor.
Priceline will show you supposedly great fares that when you complete your purchase it will give you all the info, well not always the case. You go through the entire process of putting in all of your info and then it tells you either the prize changed or they cant book your request.
I booked a hotel in advance for 2 separate nights a week apart. The first night we arrived the hotel looked filthy and when we got to the room the sheets not only had hairs all over them, there was evidence of bedbugs. We left. However, priceline.com will only refund the cost of one night and not both. Shame on you priceline.com, we left because the hotel was substandard YOU should refund the cost of the room and take it up with the hotel!
When we were looking for honeymoon trips I went to Priceline.com and looked at costs. I selected a trip from their website and did NOT complete the purchase of the trip, again just checking prices. But low and behold I saw a $550 charge from Priceline on my credit card statement. I was shocked so I called Priceline and they said they somehow received a confirmation that I booked the trip so they booked it. I told them it must have been a mistake and asked them to refund the charge. They refused to refund me and were VERY rude to talk to. I've never been treated more like a piece of dirt by a company. I also know of someone that booked a trip with Priceline and then they got double charged when they went to check into their hotel and when they tried to contact Priceline about it to take of it they could never get a hold of Priceline. Shady huh? They sent over 6 emails and never got a response. I will NEVER do business with Priceline.com. Not if they paid me. Don't waste your money!
I purchase an airline ticket to Europe using Air Europa airlines, price line sent the itinerary and never mention anything about luggage, read the entire itinerary and clicked on the only place they have for luggage information and found like most of international flights the first luggage is free the second is $68. Got a bad surprise at the airline counter when they inform me that I have to pay $120.00 for the luggage now and 120 euros at return, that the ticket price line booked for me did not included luggage. Called price line and they said "oh sorry in the website is general information. So how I should know at the time I'm buying the tickets that is going to cost me more than $240.00?
Price line lower price is catch and should not be allowed, they should say does not include luggage
Priceline service is awful. Do not use them. 5 minutes after making a reservation come to find out it did not account for the children. I was told to speak with the hotel. The hotel stated that it was priceline issue which I agree with. Priceline is garbage, they would not do anything to resolve the issue. Nothing!
This is the 2nd time using Priceline has resulted in horrible vendor experience and Priceline saying sorry, no refund. 1st was a hotel reservation that the listing completely misrepresented that the hotel had shuttle service at DFW. They did not and suggested I Uber. Priceline refused to negotiate a refund. Had to do it through Chase, which gets 5 stars. 2nd was Ace Car Rental at LAX. Misrepresented airport shuttle, it was 2 buses, with wrong instructions, bad enough but when got to this worst of the worst Ace Car Rental, the did not have car for us, even though paid in full. Priceline said sorry, no refund. Now dealing with Chase again on a chargeback. Priceline used to be good but at least this year, it's down to a 0 rating. Not vetting vendors and not standing behind to protect their customers. Never again Priceline!
I booked and paid for 3 days at a hotel in Alabama. When my stay was over the hotel slid an invoice under my door. The balance was 0 but the price paid was $50 less than what I paid Priceline.
Priceline "Best Price Guarantee" is not applicable to customer service because "rack rates are not considered for this claim" and I should have called before check-in.
Obviously I could not call before check-in so the "Best Price Guarantee" is for marketing purposes and not meant to be used for legitimate claims.
In my opinion the hotel made a mistake by showing my their price and Priceline gets as much as they can from the customer - guaranteed.
It has been two weeks since Priceline offered one type of room for sale and gave us a confirmation for a different room. I have called multiple times and they just read from the same script each time and never do anything to resolve the problem. They just do not care about customers and do nothing to fix the problem they created. They even sent me a copy of the picture and information for the room I booked which is not the room I received confirmation for. They do not seem to be able to comprehend the differences in size and amenities. All I want is what I paid for and they can not even manage something so simple. Very frustrating. Never book with this priceline! They work with "partners" and do not tell you who you are actually booking with.
I believe I was purposely tricked into booking an extra car rental with a expertly placed request of "do you want to add a rental car" button right after my flight confirmation. I had already asked to have a rental car with the flight and filled out all the info once then it only gave me back confirmation about the flights and the totals for the flights and asked me about adding a rental car, so I clicked on this - I ended up with both rental cars booked. The customer service people (after much holding and stalling and I imagine hoping I'd hang up) just insisted they could not cancel either reservation. Damn them. How could they call this customer service at all?
Booked a car on line that I didn't end up needing. When I went to cancel I was told it was non-refundable and that I had agreed to the terms! HA! What a joke. My card was charged, I never received any kind of confirmation. DO NOT USE this company!
I like Priceline when hotels iare booked and I need fast help. However, I am not a big fan of being part of a loyalty program, b/c it makes it harder to cancel or re-book hotel rooms/flights when you run it through an external sites. Overall great experience, but not 5 stars.
I booked a room with 2 beds and when I got to the hotel they said Priceline had sent information over that my reservation was for 1 bed. Not ok considering it was myself, my husband, and 2 children. The hotel was all booked up and could not offer me 2 beds. After about 2 hours on the phone with Priceline, they offered to cancel my reservation. Ok, so where was my family supposed to stay?! I would have been happy if they offered to find me something else at the same cost but they would not do that even though this was their mistake. I had booked months in advance to get the deal that I got. Could not find anything else at that price on such short notice. To make up for their mistake, they sent me a coupon for 5% off my next trip. Why do I want that? So they can mess up my reservation again? No thank you. Never using Priceline again.
I booked an airport rental at priceline.com for $541. Then I found another site offering a price of $340. I called priceline and asked for a price match. They said they could not do it for some reason. Then I said I would like to cancel my booking. They told me I could not.
I ended up using another car rental service. I never used Priceline's booking.
I called them multiple times asking for a refund, or a partial refund.
They refused to refund even one dime.
In the end, they took in $541 for nothing.
People, stay away from priceline.com. They are scammers!
I used priceline to book a flight for 5 people to Nashville. Due to severe weather warnings and emails from the airlines about delays and cancelations, we decided to cancel our trip and re-book for another date. I called priceline customer service to cancel the trip, everything seems great, they said I would get a full refund of $1800+ within 2 business days. Today I go to check that the right credit card is getting refunded and notice he only canceled my flights TO Nashville and not our return flights home! I called customer service again today and they are now saying because there is no "waiver from the airline" they can't refund my return tickets, they can only give me credit to use within a year. Problem is with this kind of service, we don't want to use priceline again! Plus their flights double in cost in a month and it will be cheaper to go directly to the airline at this point.
I found cheaper prices on 3 different sites. I offered to send a prtscrn or a link, but they have no ability to receive an email. They said that they could not get the same price to come up on booking.com, hotel.com, and agoda.com. They are clearly shafting their customers. Stay away!
My son a flight to attend his grandmothers funeral. Which he missed due to the flight being canceled. It was canceled due to mechanical issues. However Priceline has not issued a refund. Delta did their part but not Priceline. This been going on for over two weeks. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and will never use Priceline again!
I reserved a car with Priceline and arrived at the car rental company and they made me repay the price (base rate, drop-off fee, taxes). I paid $87 USD twice. The two companies are rejecting the fault on the other one (MEX rent a car). I can't get help from them.
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. This feedback indicates a critical need for improved transparency and customer support practices.
