Don't signup with them. They limit you to 200 emails a day and how can you do business for less. They said it was to stop spam but what does that mean? They can't handle even limited email services. Do not waste your time with them. Totally not worth it and just causes stress porting to another provider.
Terrible company! After registering the domain, a few weeks later they just suspended my domain, referring to the fact that my domain is being used as phishing! That's a lie. I believe that Porkbun company is scammers, they take your money, but do not provide a high-quality domain and hosting! I will inform the competent authorities.
I do not recommend registering domains here!
PorkBun is very FAST, They offer domains at under 10 bucks a year for 10 years. If you want a speedy, cheaper than places like godaddy or bluehost, Gatorhost, etc...etc... Plus, they offer a FREE hosting, of course you are going to get the basic hosting for that but if all you need is a basic wordpress site, than you can't go wrong with 10 bucks a year for both domain and hosting. I host my site there for free ericlp.com.
I decided to register a domain on their website. At first everything was fine, I started making payments - a site error.
Repeated many times, the error has not disappeared. I wrote to the support service. They replied "IP address you are connecting from has a fraudulent reputation associated with it". Despite the fact that I have a clean IP (without VPN) and have never had any problems with it. Restarting the Internet, the IP has not changed. After a long correspondence, it did not lead to anything. At first they didn't like my IP, then my address (all the data was correct, the city from the IP and the specified data matched). I've wasted my time, my nerves. I turned to another major registrar, registered the domain immediately, without any problems.
The only reason people use this site is to save ~$5 because prices are lower than those of large registrars, but are you ready for the terrible quality of services?
The score is minimal, I have not received any services.
Website operation - 0/10 (payment does not work)
Support service - 0/10 (indifference lasted a day and a half)
Quality of services - 0/10 (services not received)
Porkbun.com is a small company but their support and modus operandi is top notched. As a domain registra and aftermarket place, I love them for transparency sake
Unfortunately, my recent experience with Porkbun has been far from satisfactory. I had initially chosen this service due to its promising reputation, but I am left with a taste of disappointment.
My main issue lies with their customer service - a vital element of any business. After I ran into a technical issue, I found myself in an exhausting game of email tag with their team. Responses were slow, usually taking over a day, and the answers were vague and unhelpful. There was a clear lack of understanding and communication that made my problem drag on far longer than necessary.
In addition to slow responses, I also experienced inconsistent information. Different representatives seemed to have different levels of understanding about my problem, which was confusing and made it difficult to make progress towards a resolution.
Perhaps the most frustrating aspect was their business hours. Their limited support hours are incredibly inconvenient, especially for those of us in different time zones. Having a customer service team that is accessible round the clock should be a basic requirement in today's digital age.
Ultimately, while Porkbun's products may be competitive in terms of price and features, their customer service seriously lets them down. Effective and efficient customer support is an essential part of the user experience, and it's regrettable that Porkbun seems to be missing this vital element.
In my experience, Porkbun's customer service is severely lacking, making the whole experience a stressful ordeal. I am dissatisfied and disappointed, and I wouldn't recommend their service based on this poor customer experience.
Please, if you're considering Porkbun, weigh the potential frustration of dealing with their customer service against the service's potential benefits. I've learned this the hard way.
