The overall reputation of Plenty of Fish (POF) is largely negative, with customers expressing significant dissatisfaction regarding the quality of profiles and user interactions. Common concerns include a high prevalence of fake profiles, rudeness, and entitlement among users, particularly women, who are perceived as unrealistic in their dating expectations. Many reviews highlight poor customer service, including issues with account management and a lack of effective support. While some users acknowledge the site's potential for connecting singles, the overwhelming sentiment suggests that POF has declined in quality and user experience, leading many to seek alternatives.

This site leads to an overload of SPAM and junk that you will never get rid of. I am signed up for sites I have never heard of. There are some nice people on it that I am sure are getting as SPAMMED as I am.
I was on the site on and off, but if you are not 100% beautiful, sorry you arent getting any dates. So many judgemental guys on there..
POF is a dating site you should stay away from. Nine out of 10 of the profiles of men are bogus.! See for yourself by reading the profile. Their pictures are all fake. There is no customer service phone number to call. Even the phone number on your credit card bill is bogus. Scarey. They have your credit card number. The only way to cancel your membership is to go thru your creditor. And do some homework before you give a guy your phone number or email.
Someone is getting rich on a major scam dating site.
My first problem is the fact that POF has different standards of what can be posted by males vs what can be posted by females. For instance, men must have their income on their profiles and women don't.
The site also seems to dictate for users who they may contact and who they may not contact. I've written to women who supposedly blocked men of my age and distance while in other cases women I was talking to for weeks suddenly stopped getting my messages and couldn't send messages to me.
Personally I think users should consider legal action.
Looking for older lady for help an sex but behide my lady that i done get it from. I do have a hernia that i will be taken out soon i hope an need someone to help her cook an clean.
Have no customer service - no phone, no email. Account says I am using wrong user name, password (which I'm not) but request for reset gets no response. How can a business based on internet traffic have no way of customers getting tech support. Get what you pay for - don't sign up for the upgrade!
I'm struggling to see how this site gets 3.5 stars
If this was a shop it would be Poundland is awful
Firstly there are a ridiculous number of fake female proflies you can tell easily. They click on meet you or tell you must email them as it's not safe on POF. Why anyone would waste their time with fake profiles is beyond me
The real women are mostly unattractive or/and obese yet call themselves sexy or babe in their username. They seem to think they are alot hotter than they are. I guess behind the laptop they avoid reality and dream they're some hot diva
Also beware the fake headlines "are there any genuine guys left". That's just code for wanting a hot guy but not dare say it
Tons of women from 30-40 looking for a prince it's beyond silly. If you're 38 then you not going to find a hot guy when your past your best are you? Especially when you have a huge list of demands even David Beckham would struggle to match
I wasted a week on POF and won't be rushing back
Lastly what's with being horrible and moody on your profile. Men won't message you if your moaning before they've even spoke to you. Way loads of bitter women all wanting a prince to rescue them from their crap life... aye ok
Enjoy the next 5 years on here looking for him
Had very upsetting experience on pof when et a man who was just a complete liar and also homeless, looking for someone to shack up with and a job. When I refused he spread nasty gossip about me.
Will never use plenty of fish again, its for seedy, broke men who want to prey on nice girls. I was lucky to get away from that hook!
I had posted some risque photos on my profile (not of me and not X-Rated). PoF removed them. Fine. Then soon after they removed all of my (perfectly presentable and clothed face shots) photos. I have not been able to upload any photos since (about two weeks ago). I paid for a three-month membership ($51) and essentially have been ripped off since the site is basically useless to me unless women can see my face photos.
I sent several emails to their "Help" department with no reply whatsoever. Now I am posting as many negative reviews as possible and taking this up with the suitable consumer fraud government agencies.
STAY AWAY FROM PLENTY OF FISH!
POF is a creep magnet. As soon as I made it clear via text that I wasn't into booty calls, guys would disappear. If I gave out my number, conversations got more graphic. One guy kept asking for (naked) pictures, so I sent him one of my Uncle in drag. If you're a woman looking for a reasonable relationship, go to another site.
Pof was great for a long time. I actually met a couple nice girls on there. Then someone hacked my account and I could not message anyone because pof deleted any messages I would send. Then they deleted my account. I tried to contact them via email 3 times and got no response from anyone. So I started another account and they deleted that one also. Again I tried contacting them and no response once again. I started a 3rd account and same story. Ive heard this has happen to many others as well. I'm finished with this site. It should not be a site unless u can get help from someone if theres an issue... they r not very professional. They don't seem to really care. They totally suck $#*!...
Annoyed! Upgrade, paid and no upgrade. Perhaps they will contact me as too hard to contact them!
Pic is the worst. The men are low class and broke. They all expect sex right away. It must be because It is free. Way too many bottom feeders and throwbacks.
Met both of my ex-girlsfriends on online dating sites (one on mingle2day, and last one on match) so I know how online dating works, I guess. Also tried pof but I ws a little disppointed. In my opinion not easy at all to meet real people. Site is ok though.
I've been locked out of my account 2 times by Plenty of Fish-1st they let my account be hacked and closed me down with zero notice, now with a 2nd account I don't receive mail! This POF company is not even in the USA (somewhere in Europe) and has no customer service telephone number, the one listed are Pakastani's who laugh at you because they hacked your account-Don't waste your time!
This. Site. Sucks. I recreated my account after three deletions. I received countless spam from fake users, and when I do connect with someone, my account magically disappears like a $#*!ing Houdini act. This site has poor screening and dating algorithms, it charges money for some features that should be basic and offers poor monthly plans for what they would provide. I spent money once on it, and wont make that mistake again. Evens craigslist is better than this, and I have never even used it.
In 2012 I met my husband on POF
We have been married since 2015
I made my profile clear about wanting to meet a Christian man who valued his family more than anything.
Of COURSE your going to have to filter through the buttheads with silly rude sexist messages, but I took a chance on a man 1.5 hours away (at the time was very far to me in my head) but we made it work and we are so very happily married and I couldnt thank POF more for helping me find such an incredicle man!
They took my money and have not send me email to change password and they also publicate day password so I lost all money
POF is not a site to meet anyone worth while. IT IS NOT A DATING SITE. Maybe its purpose is but it is mainly for hook-ups. GAY MEN ARE THE WORST!.
I have chatted with a couple of nice guys, but then you get bombarded with weirdos usually with no or little profile information and no photo. This is a clear indication they're going to ask you if you're on KIK. They usually say they're interested in an exclusive relationship Master Sub lover. Having been married for 15 years it has been a real eye opener for me. I wasn't even what sure what sub lover. Then you get desperate men thinking they''re in a relationship with you after one or two chats. Think I've signed up for a membership and either have close it down membership finishes or block weirdos. Doesn't leave many to chat to.
Answer: Oh yes, they want you to upgrade and pay! But when you pay you will see these profiles who you liked or who liked you disappear. They were nothing but bait-and-switch. You gain nothing when you pay, it's the silliest way to spend money. Are you looking for hook up or relationship? I wanted a relationship and I was really frustrated by Pof. Eventually I found what I was looking for on https://j4l.com/402007 But I've lost nearly a year on Pof. Not to mention emotional drain and money!
Answer: I just deactivated my account. This site is a sewer. Do not pay anything for this site or any site. I searched for free on other site( even paid ones you can search for free) and I saw the same guys on most of the other sites as well. I'm gonna grow old alone unless luck steps in and maybe I'll meet my guy IRL.
Answer: Yes its possible
Answer: Delete AND contact the company. If you know who took your pictures be sure to include the name on the profile that your pictures were used on, so they can deal with that person. Once you have deleted your profile, everything is GONE. I have never had anybody use my pictures on any other sites. I'm no great beauty, that could be the reason, Still, once your profile is deleted, everything is gone.
Answer: You cannot do it from the mobile site. You need to use your search, example safari and look up pof desktop version and go to the help in the top left. It will walk you thru it, if I remember correctly. Good luck
Answer: First, write to POF and explain. Now, and I mean NOW call up your credit card company and tell them what happened. I am sure POF will not contact you. Make sure to use the word "unacceptable" when describing the consumer service to the CC company about POF. Keep all emails too. Please keep me posted. Thanks Ann B.
Answer: STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAMMING SITE! Any good you hear from or about it... DUH ITS THE SCAMMERS THAT WORK FOR EM. I been booted so many times due to unpopularity cuz i wont date trash so i get booted they keep your money they are garbage
Answer: Fake doesn't really describe them... more like downright liars!
Answer: Golden rule #1: Do onto others as you would have them do unto you Golden rule #2: Anything that sounds to good to be true, is not. Golden rule #3: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Answer: POF is not free at all, you have to upgrade; become a paying member to be able to do anything interesting.
