Successfully sold my account and the whole trade is quick and scam free. The buyer is legit and made the experience very smooth for me. We did not encounter any problems at all.
Nothing bad happened and everything was actually very good. Speed, legitness and the price. I would buy that again tbh.
Many thanks for the kind feedback and support, William. :)
Reason: They advertising up to 3 day and you get payed out, bull$#*!. Now is already 10 days and nothing. After sending them a message, excuse:
"We currently have an issue with our Finance team but rest assured that we're working on the resolution..."
Disbursement Time: Now being processed
Disbursement Status: Queued for immediate processing
For xx days
Just avoid this page as a seller, because you will never get your money. Sad but true.
Hello Ixchel,
I am very sorry, although this may seem unlikely to you since it's only your 3rd completed order on the site, the disbursement delay happening right now is not the norm. Prior to this, all disbursements have been regularly processed in time. We're having unforeseen technical difficulties since last week that has affected our payments and for that, I sincerely apologize. I was able to take note of your order ID and we'll make sure it gets taken cared of ASAP.
Rest assured that you will be paid on this.
Best,
Richard
Warning to everybody. This is a scam - bogus payment verification process resulting in bank charges and delayed refund if any. Worst thing I experienced on the internet. I wonder why these people haven't been prosecuted :(
Hello Iordan,
You canceled your payment for the orders and refunds are not instant, they are processed in 2-5 business days.
I'm afraid this is a gross misunderstanding of how payments work. When you make payments like these, your bank/payment provider puts a hold on that amount of money so it becomes reserved and it cannot be used on other purchases. PlayerAuctions doesn't actually receive your money and when the payment is authorized, that's when it gets processed to us, also in 2-5 business days.
Your payments have been voided and I would have to ask you to please wait 2-5 business days (weekdays are the only days counted).
So no, we're not and should not be prosecuted for something proper and legal. I'm afraid your scam comment is defamatory and I hope this explains things.
You're going to receive the refund soon which proves the scam accusation is unwarranted and false.
Regards,
Richard
Never had any trouble with my transaction other than the payment verification which I thought was going to cause problems, but thankfully it was smooth.
Seller delivered it very quickly and the whole thing was done in about 30 minutes.
Thank you very much; we're very happy to hear about this, Carlo!
I used to be able to buy quickly, and had no issues... suddenly, they want a screenshot of your credit card account website, and are certainly not in any hurry about it... "This process is usually very quick" has wasted over an hour of my time.
I'm sorry, seller- you just lost a $63 sale... and PlayerAuctions has lost a long time customer. 51 orders over the years, 100% feedback rating-- obviously means NOTHING to them.
Hello Matt,
Sorry for the inconvenience you had with your payment. I want to assure you that any information you share is kept confidentially and professionally. It will never be shared outside of PlayerAuctions, and is only used for verification purposes. We need to have a copy of your payment information to make sure only you are able to access and use your account; in the event of any account breach, we have information to bank on so we can verify the user, and this is especially the case with changes in location, IP address, etc.
If you decide to continue with your purchase, please let me know how I can assist to make the process seamless. You may use the Q&A form here in SiteJabber to do that and ask questions about anything.
Best regards,
Richard
I got tagged in a payment verification loop, where I received two or three word replies. I provided all proof required, but they got hung up on a "screen shot" from my banking app, which is blocked for security reasons. On their site they list several ways to verify payment, but refused to accept those. Yup, their right to refuse "my proof". But after 12 emails and 24 hours, way past their advertised 20 min response and resolution, it's my right to cancel the order so the seller may actually get a sale, and to leave a negative review of my very disappointing experience using the player auction platform.
Hello Jay,
I'm really sorry to hear about this. Unfortunately, there is no way for us to bypass this since it's an import process that ensures security on our site. And you're right, we provide users the prerogative to cancel orders — you will automatically get your refund in 2-5 business days and in case it takes longer than that, I will have to ask you to wait a bit more, or you could let us know by emailing support@playerauctions.zendesk.com about it, Jay.
Best,
Richard
I have purchased from them many times. HOWEVER, Lately they started asking for photos of my license. My card. My bank info. Which I even did that. Then after they "verified" my payment they suspended my account and never gave me what I paid for. Its now been 2 weeks since I made the purchase and still no refund. Every attempt I have made to them about my issues just gets blown off and I get told I need to send all my information again. Better run people they want that information for a reason beyond them saying it's to "protect from fraud". And I'm sure I'll get an automated response to this as well lol what a joke company.
Hi Eric,
I understand your enthusiasm to purchase again on the site; we appreciate that. However, there were fraud flags raised with your latest purchase and I'm sorry, we cannot accept your payments. This is not an automated reply, and this is a reply specific to you Eric. None of your money and information were taken. All failed payments will be refunded back to you in full.
Regards,
Richard
I have never in my life been so scared of using a website. The fact that they asked for this stuff is complete and utter nonsense - I hope the see the fault of their ways soon. Be careful out there everyone.
Hello, Kayla,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts about our verification process. I can confirm that this is indeed the mail we send out to buyers — I'd like to assure you several things about this: (1) the information we ask is kept confidentially and professionally, and it will NEVER be shared outside of PlayerAuctions; (2) we do this as a security process for us to validate that the payment method being used is actually owned by the user, eliminating any possibility that the account is being used without the consent of the owner (hence, the selfie holding the ID pic for us to easily go through that; (3) your information is cleared/erased from our storage after some time, as it is only used for verifying your identity with us.
I understand you're worried. I can see that you already canceled your order. Rest assured that you will be fully refunded for this. If you decide to go through with ordering again, please email us at support@playerauctions.zendesk.com or use the Q&A form here so I can assist you with anything, Kayla.
Have a great weekend soon!
Best regards,
Richard
I spent $134.77 and it was taken out of my bank account. It says the orders closed out of no where. No answers on why or if im getting refunded. Overall i'm really upset, won't be using this service unless they can prove to me otherwise...
Hi Maddie,
Thank you for writing to us about this. I checked and your order was canceled because the offer you were trying to buy is already closed. This happens if the seller took back the offer if he/she changed his mind or decided to sell the offer elsewhere. I'm sorry for the confusion and concern this has caused you. And rest assured, you will of course get a full refund for this, it's just that refunds aren't instant and takes 2-5 business days. Please note that this transition time is with payment providers because they have a clearing process for refunds.
Once you're able to get the refund, could you come back and update the review to let us know? Thanks in advance, Maddie. If you have other concerns, please feel free to use the Q&A function/page here in SiteJabber and I would be happy to help.
Best regards,
Richard
1st order my payment was cancel due to "security issues", they didn't explain why but I changed my payment. Next order I verify it and have receive the order without any problems. I think they need to check your payment first for some security stuffs but anyway hope it doesnt happen again
Thank you very much for being patient with this, Keith. The previous payment was declined because the card was not in your name; we require payments to be made by their original owners as part of our security process. I'm glad things worked out.
I recently made a purchase through this company and had no issues at all with them. Make sure to check your email right after completion because they might have a few things they want you to send them to verify you as the buyer. Glad that they did that though, security is not something that should be taken for granted.
Thank you for the awesome review, Alex, and thanks as well for sharing your thoughts about our verification process. This is EXACTLY what we set out to do! We verify the identity of our users to get to know them for future transactions, plus it enables us to identify them as the real owner of payment accounts being used. This is how we enact our anti-fraud policies, and I'm glad to hear that you're all set! Thanks again, Alex. :)
All my best experiences with buying and selling are here. It says specifically when you can expect money to reach you at all times. Customer support has never not solved any issues I had on site with other sellers or with technical issues. I think my only quip is needing a few more sites to sell for, but it's not a deal breaker.
I was a big seller on that site for years, but then near 3 years ago they changed policy and now they not allow users from Ukraine to sell or buy. Support says its because of some "government restrictions" but do not want to specify. I have a law degree and ability to find any legal information in any country, and appears they lied about it. Looks like Playerauctions just do not like Ukrainians in general, this is the only explanation everyone can conclude. Too bad, because this is not acceptable for any big company to threat any nation like that. Until Playerauctions do not change this policy i will publish this feedback everywhere, to let people aware of this gross injustice. Ticket was 3-9-1-6-2-7
Hello Quadro,
Please send us your username so we can check. If there are pending and undisputed disbursements, we can check and have them processed.
Accounts that may be suspended are due to security policies. The country info is inconsequential to this decision. Kindly note as well that it is the company's prerogative to decline memberships; new accounts are a privilege provided to new users, not a right that might be forcibly claimed.
Regards,
Richard
Got back to my questions quickly and they helped me resolve some issues with my account (it was made in 2019 but I forgot some of the details). The purchase I made went through after that, no issues and smooth as way back.
Thanks a lot for the kind feedback, Willard! And welcome back to the site. :)
The thing about their offers is that if 1 price doesn't work for you, there is always another who will give it lower with some minor sacrifices. That's the beauty of an open market like this where sellers are the ones who do the trades. Plus you can always negotiate if everything else fails. I had a good deal like this when I went into page 8-10 and found more there from lower level sellers (not like 1 or 2, but 3-4s) and they were still very good.
Thank you so much for sharing this detailed review and tips, Adam. Much appreciated!
You place an order, pay though an independent site (google pay, because who would enter actual credit card info into this site) and then they reach out to ask for a photo of your drivers license and a picture of you holding it. This is after your card has already been charged.
I placed two small orders without incident. Seem like when you increase the order to a specific amount thats when the scam kicks in. Ignore whatever bull$#*! response they post below this website is a scam
Hi John,
Let me clarify that your payment has not "processed" yet, it's currently in charged/reserved status and this may be canceled by you anytime during this.
We have the payment verification in place as a security process to establish the identity and payment ownership of the buyer. This is to avoid fraud and/or unauthorized use of payment accounts. We do not keep your documents; they are purged and they are only used to verify you and your payment.
If you are "concerned" about the 90%+ rating and while still having 1-star reviews, this is how review site ratings are calculated and its because the majority are positive reviews. This is a statistic with review sites. PlayerAuctions does not and cannot control this rating outcome.
If you have any questions, please let us know anytime.
Regards,
Richard
Getting hard to find pugs or what not for the game so I got some items instead to make things easier. They fully delivered without any problems.
Thanks a lot for sharing the positive experience you had, Erick.
Terrible service I give over my details to the apparent most trusted on the site only to have to separate payments taken out once it takes me to a page asking me to enter an amount again which did not make sense to me.
I have had no customer service and will not recommend this site to anyone until this is solved honestly. Way to complicated process to and for some reason two purchases were opened when I clearly was trying to buy one purchase
Hello Jake,
Both orders you provided weren't purchased or paid for. The order was just placed and payment is a different step and process. We never received any funds for either.
Regards,
Richard
I have decided to retire my old wow account and was confused on how to sell it until I found them on some Reddit discussions. It took very long but I finally found a buyer and am now waiting for my payment! Everything was nicely done thanks to the security of the site!
Thanks a lot for choosing us, Ansel! I'm glad to know everything went well. :)
Answer: You don't want to buy from them.
Answer: Just don't use their service. Trust me, you will save a lot of your nerves and time if you don't.
Answer: How to get started. Click the URL bar and type anything other than your terrible website. Unless you want to be scammed to lose time and money, in which case go ahead and continue using playerauctions.com.
Answer: You got scammed! So did I. PlayerAuctions is nothing but a SCAM!
Answer: Maybe this will help: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Playerauctions Regardless they have terrible Customer Service. Their english is not proficient to be doing business in the US and their work ethic is just terrible. It's a shame that they show the stereotypical greed of chinese who just does it for money and doesn't care what gets in the way and cuts too many corners to be acceptable to be called "The world’s safest player to player trading marketplace for WOW Gold, Runescape Gold, Guild Wars 2 Gold, ArcheAge Gold, CS: GO items and much more."
Answer: Don't do business with this company, they stole my money after my account was recovered merely a month later -- I'll be reporting them to the BBB after tonight.
Answer: Hello Mikael. Could you please try accessing the site again on a different browser? It might have just been a temporary website server issue, and this might be sorted out already. If you continue to have problems with this, please take a screenshot of where there seems to be an issue, then send it along with your username to support@playerauctions.com.
Answer: Absolutely. As a buyer, your payment is secure with us and will not be released to the seller until you click confirm on our website, once you have decided that the item/gold/account that you bought is good and complete. If you find any problems with the sale, you may dispute it and if the sale you received is not as described, you will be issued a refund. As a seller, your payment will be released once buyer is satisfied with the sale, and this guarantees that you will receive payment as opposed to transacting blindly on the internet with someone you don't know. In the case of disputes, if you've proven that you were able to deliver the sale successfully and as described, you will get the payment. Please note that we enact the User Assumption of Risk as stated in the front page of our website, in that we cannot guarantee that all trades will be free from risks. However, by carefully securing your order and being wary of scamming attempts, together with our team's efforts to secure an order, this can be thoroughly mitigated. I can elaborate more if you'd like, just post another question, Sabrina.
Answer: They will make sure you don't get refunded. Be sure of that. There sites a massive scammed just Google them...
Answer: Hello Elaby. Fabricating fake feedback is not "unintentional". The same goes with creating multiple accounts and faking the registration country/location. Disbursements are held for the security of the buyers if the seller is found to have committed several offenses.
Thanks a lot for sharing this, Oliver! This is awesome to hear and we appreciate the kind rating.
