I have never in my life been so scared of using a website. The fact that they asked for this stuff is complete and utter nonsense - I hope the see the fault of their ways soon. Be careful out there everyone.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about our verification process. I can confirm that this is indeed the mail we send out to buyers — I'd like to assure you several things about this: (1) the information we ask is kept confidentially and professionally, and it will NEVER be shared outside of PlayerAuctions; (2) we do this as a security process for us to validate that the payment method being used is actually owned by the user, eliminating any possibility that the account is being used without the consent of the owner (hence, the selfie holding the ID pic for us to easily go through that; (3) your information is cleared/erased from our storage after some time, as it is only used for verifying your identity with us.
