NEW Manager JUSTINE canceled my membership for wearing "The Rock" brand cut off workout shirt! I've been a member at planet fitness in Appleton WI West for over 10 years and absolutely loved the atmosphere. That was until last week when a new "Manager" was hired. My 14 year old son and I were working out and she discriminated and harassed me, also went as far as calling the local Police to escort me out! (Humiliated) As I looked around others were wearing the same type/brand shirt which I made her aware of. She stated it looks different on you because it shows more of your chest, "this was discrimination" it's because I have a wider frame body! Unfortunately because of a single employee I'll be moving to another gym along with my wife and 4 children. If you're looking for a gym I would NOT recommend Planet Fitness Appleton WI West!
The staffing is bad especially the management lets employees disrespect customers. The manager let their employee harass and disrespect a disabled person thinking it was funny and banned the disabled eldery person.
I went to the planet fitness this morning and I met Balil Griffin And I had the most amazing experience ever and he was really attentive and he showed me around the facility and made me feel so welcome. I will definitely definitely keep attending this planet fitness because this experience has been such a comfortable and pleasing experience and I'm definitely going to continue sharing my business here.
When I joined the local Planet Fitness the club was open 24/7. That was over 10 years ago. Last Friday I got to the gym only to find a sign that effective 9/1 the club would now be open 24 hours a day from Mon to Thurs. Friday new hours midnight to 10PM, and Saturday and Sunday 7AM to 7PM. I won't recommend anyone I know join Planet Fitness. It's a wonderful facility with great equipment, but why subject yourself to more service cuts. Talking to customer service (good luck to reach anyone there) was fruitless.
I was a member for over 5 yrs. I cancelled my membership because there was a NAKED MAN WITH AN ERECT PENIS hanging out in the WOMEN'S locker room! I was distraught and informed the front desk. They told me that it was "ok because he identifies as a woman". I am not going to normalize this kind of perversion and accept the cop out of using the gender card and allow myself to feel unsafe and disgusted in a place that never gave me the option during the sign up if I would be ok with that. I'm appalled on how this was handled to appease to this kind of behavior for the sake of politics and cowardness. I quickly cancelled my membership. I felt violated by the sight of a naked man with an erect penis in the women's locker room at Planet Fitness ******* and consider this sexual harassment.
I had applied to this job thinking it would be a good fit for me knowing how I had USED to go here on a daily. I had applied and gotten a phone call interview to ask some simple questions, when asking the 2nd question about the times ide be working they had told me the COMPLETE opposite from what I had applied and further asked for. The 3rd question was about would I be able to work as a team, I had said yes I can work as a team but I would like to inform the company ide be working for that I do have anxiety and fears as everyone else does. They Instantly had claimed "sorry were going to have to stop here we can't have someone with mental issues working here" let me repeat if you didn't read "WE CANT HAVE SOMEONE WITH MENTAL ISSUES HERE." Then instantly had hung up the phone without a second thought or clarification. I had thought that this would be a good job but essentially was proven otherwise.
This club is the most unprofessional fitness club in Yuba City, Ca. It starts with their supervision, Patty, to their management, Adrian. Patty has literally harassed and belittled my son every time he goes in. She is a bully when it comes to my son.
I have asked to speak to management, Adrian, about this matter but she refuses to call me back because she is so busy running a gym.
So if you want a membership to a gym that likes to harass you and bully you because they are a "Judgement Free Zone," then this gym is for you.
It's so sad that businesses are still bullying and harassing people who just want to workout. They even took my monthly payment this week and then cancelled my membership right after while keeping my money. I guess that's how this business runs. Very sad!
It's sad that the owners of this establishment have an inexperienced management team running their business.
I will definitely pay more for a membership to a real gym in town.
JUST SAY NO TO PLANET FITNESS IN YUBA CITY!
I have been a loyal member of the Planet Fitness branch in Egg Harbor Township for more than 5 years, and I was shocked to discover that my membership had been terminated on 7/25 due to accusations of disrespecting the staff. I have always tried to show my appreciation to the front desk employees by regularly bringing in chocolates, cookies, cupcakes, and fruit baskets. I have specifically expressed gratitude to Nick, Caleb, Cate (the former manager), and other morning desk staff. Despite this, my membership was canceled by Caleb, the current manager, allegedly due to personal reasons. Throughout my membership, I have maintained a positive and cooperative relationship with all the front desk employees, and I have never received any complaints about my conduct.
I have raised legitimate concerns about issues such as malfunctioning equipment and the unavailability of technicians and parts to Caleb. I have always displayed patience and understanding in such matters and have never demanded a refund. Despite this, it seems that Caleb took my legitimate concerns personally and fabricated allegations against me.
Recently, a new employee named Suzen has been unfriendly and unhelpful towards me. I have reported this behavior to the location manager via email. Specifically, on Saturdays (7/20) when Suzen is working at the front desk, I have encountered difficulties in using the Massage Chair and Hydro Massage Bed due to her inability to assist. Last week, I patiently waited for 15 minutes as she struggled to set up the massage equipment. As a result, I avoid using the massage facilities altogether when she is on duty.
I am reaching out to request the reactivation of my membership and to seek understanding and empathy regarding my experience as a customer. I hope for a positive and considerate response. Thank you.
In 2017 i opened a student membership for 12 months with my bestfriend. Once the 12 months were over we went in and cancelled. Today five years later i receive an email stating that Planet has handed me over for R1130. After they have continued to deduct R548 per month for the last five years summing up at R32 880. The way they refuse to accept cancellation is an entire scam. This is how they make their money by stealing from previous clients and " cancellation policies". My best friend has had EXACTLY the same issue with them. Dont waste your time, Patience or money signing up at Planet fitness.
I visited the facility in Niagara Falls NY on Monday October 2nd at 11am.
I was just inquiring about membership options, but already had decided I was going to join the black card option as I wanted to be able to bring my 13 year old daughter along with me.
They offer no day passes to simply tryout their machines, but on top of that I was told I couldn't even have a look around.
But I can utilize machines and have a look around the facility only if I give you my checking and routing number...lol
You guys do know Crunch fitness is only a minute away.

Hampton Twp Pittsburgh PA refuses to cancel memberships for people in high risk categories that cannot go into the gym to cancel. Also for people who lost their job due to Covid-19. I have lost my job, could lose my home, lost my health insurance, and could lose my life due to Covid-19 but this situation is not a concern for the owner of the fitness center. There are and have been many programs to help business but they still continue to charge people who are significantly struggling.
The bath mats In the showers are harboring tons of bacteria, I took a shower, there was blood. Probably menstrual blood. On the mat. 5 days later. Still there. Does anyone, disinfect these mats at all. How old are the mats and curtains. Bloomsburg pa location

These thieves demand access to your bank account to use their membership. I was against this from the git go, but did it with an account I do not use much.
First they take $40 out that they aren't supposed to take. This overdraws the account and costs me $36 in fees. They gave some mumbo jumbo about this but never offered to reimburse me the fees.
So I canceled my membership. A week later they charge me again!
Do not do business with this batch of thieves!
Crowley Planet Fitness is the worst! Make sure you read the contract. I have never had a gym membership and I worked in a different town than I lived so I didn't want a contract. I wanted a month by month and I took the worker at her word and didn't read it. Needless to say, I lost my job, tried to stop my membership and was told I signed a year contract and couldn't get out. I would have to buy myself out of it. No longer working, i couldn't afford it. So I froze the account for 4 months and then it started up again and was told it would end the next August. August came, and I saw my bank account had removed 4xs the monthly amount. When I called they said it was renewed for.a year. They would not work with me either time. They are horrible!
I went in person to cancel my membership at the Graham location and I was told that it was taking care of and there were nothing to worry about. Well, this month, I was charged again and I deceided to call the company and talked with representative. The representative told me to go back to the gym and cancel because they have NEVER done so. Yes, They lied! I went back and spoken to young man that was understanding so he went and got the manager. I was on the phone with my bank,letting them no please do not pay this company because I am NOT member anymore. This little girl in the front by the computer was in my business while I was talking with my bank. She was rude and the bank lady hear her and told me to write complaint on her because NO one was talking to her.
The bank did enformed me that this company will try to take money from my account under another name. Well, Now I am pissed.
This Planet Fitness is in Rothschild Wisconsin. If I could grade with O stars, I would. This is my complaint about the fees I have been charged for the past 9 months, yet my son KP was not granted access to the facilities at Planet Fitness. My son KP has been a member since 2018. During those years, KP was not and is not a very frequent gym goer however he never minded paying the membership due to attendance. That is why I continued paying so he would have access to the gym whenever he had time. At the end of Oct 2023, I went to PF to claim responsibility for KP's membership; I wanted to gift him the gym membership as his birthday + Xmas present moving forward. They took my bank card # & PF had my son's card info as he was already a member. PF had access to both cards.
Since Nov 20,2023, I have been paying the monthly membership fee of $23.04 until July 2024 without interruption. In July, Planet Fitness withdrew 2 payments, one for $39.00? And another $23.04 on July 1 -monthly fee. From Nov 2023 until now, KP has faced some issues: My son has been denied access to the gym several times despite having a valid membership, according to them, for nonpayment yet no in-depth explanation was given. 1) Lack of communication & support from the gym staff regarding this issue. They failed to tell KP that they needed a 2nd working card on record, even though they have my son's and mine. The issue started when my son's card was declined due to lack of funds at that time or it expired, however, they tried my card and it worked and continues to work. 2) The response to my son's previous attempts to resolve this matter was inadequate + when he went in person on July 18. This is unacceptable & constitutes a breach of contract. My son is a paying member, he has and had the right to access the services as I have been successfully charged. I request immediate action to address this issue, in the form of 1) a Full refund of paid fees for 9 months as he was denied access. 2) Or uninterrupted access to the gym for the 9 months to replace the 9 months pd. (This choice will not be our first choice but we would accept it)
I have been a member for 4 years. In all that time I have had a mostly positive experience at planet fitness. But today that all changed. Today out of nowhere I was banned. I was banned because I don't believe in cleaning equipment. They don't pay me to clean equipment. I pay them to allow me to come and exercise. They have employees that they pay whom should be doing all the cleaning.
Without any notice at all I was banned. I came in to work out a few days ago and I had not been in the gym for 5 minutes and yet 4 people complained that I hadn't cleaned any equipment. Well I'm sorry if I just don't feel like I am responsible for that.
I am very annoyed that I was treated this way and will glady never return. Gonna set up my own personal gym.
The Manger at plante fitness in Newark NJ on Broad Street in Newark New Jersey. Approached me Miss Purcell who is a black card member about questioning why a man was in the locker room and a female locker room on to 2022. I questioned one of his employees why a man was carrying a woman in locker room. The employee said the lady fell outside across the street and broke her leg and she has to go to the bathroom. I just said be careful oh, because these people are not members of Planet Fitness. And a man is not supposed to be in the locker room number two ComEd number three if anything happens to them down there they'll be liable. And I said that because I'm a member trying to change my clothes and I had to wait for this man and this woman who wasn't even a member. JB the manager came approached me and said I was being rude to his employee. I dare him approach me in any kind of manner when I am a member and the persons and the man that was in the female locker room was not.
