This study aims to find out knowledge, implementation, and barriers to teachers and representatives of the curriculum about authentic assessment 2013 curriculum. This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative research approach. This research was carried out on August 27,2018 to September 29,2018. The subject of this research is a representative curriculum, Mechanical Technology teacher, and tenth grade Mechanical Engineering students. Data collection uses observation, interviews, and documentation. Technique data analysis using data reduction, data presentation, and withdrawal conclusion. Test the validity of the data using member check and data triangulation. The results of the study show that: (1) teachers and curriculum representatives have already know well the authentic assessment of the 2013 curriculum. (2) On the assessment the new attitude was carried out by observational assessment, on the assessment of knowledge the teacher has carried out all three assessments, written tests, oral tests, and assignments, skills assessment has not been implemented. (3) Obstacles experienced by teachers that is not yet familiar and lack of interest of teachers to implement and learn authentic assessment, the number of assessment techniques and time required, the learning device required must be ready before starting carry out learning.
