Why do I have to pay for each transaction I get as a recipient? 10% is too much, paypal! The customer care is so long too, had to wait for several days for a reply
I use paypal as an easy why to send money to friends and family. I do find it annoying that there is a fee to pay companies. Overall, I think it is safe and reliable.
They have yet to release my money and it's been 30 day's. They seem to always have an excuse for keeping my money. I think they are a scammer that needs to be shut down.
I have been with PayPal for many years and I always paid my bills on time. In December 2019, my card was stolen and changed it with a new card. Apparently £7 payment has rejected by my bank when Paypal contacted them which I wasn't aware of. Paypal sent me an email about that which I didn't see or didn't receive. 6 days passed apparently until I realized about the problem, I made the payment straight away. Then a couple of months later i have found that my credit score has a bad mark because of this. PayPal gave me a bad credit score immediately for £7 despite of many years i have been with them and never had this issue. Any professional company with their long term existing clients would be more sensitive and caring and would call them or text them directly to inform rather than sending an invisible email (By the way, i cannot still find any email from them). Instead of doing that they gave me a bad credit score and also charged me interests. Because of that, now i am having difficulties on my business purchases. This undeserved bad score has been affecting my business terribly. I closed my account with them now. They weren't helpful at all. They didn't even offer an apology. I feel terribly betrayed and strongly not recommend them.
Paypal lets you cancel ongoing subscriptions AS SOON AS YOU'VE SIGNED UP FOR THEM. They do this without telling the people who will be billing you. This makes so I can in fact, sign up for a free trial run, or buy only a few months of something without being concerned I will forget about it, be siphoned, and have to "Ask for my money back".
I just go to to the subscriptions area and cancel immediately. Then, when I receive an email from the subscription when they try to bill me and fail, that's when I ask myself if I want to continue the service. I have actual real secure control of my own money. This funnily enough makes it so I am more willing to try new things and spend more money, because I know I CANT be screwed. Only my own hand reaches into my pocket with paypal, and paypal is the false pocket that fools the world for me so I can have it easy.
Also, a while ago, they just trusted me to have the money I said I did when I used them with a direct withdraw system. I just cant get over how much more convenient and safe they have made everything for me.
Paypal, I cannot describe how much easier this simple service has made my life. I get the impression these features been deliberately excluded on other platforms. I will use you until I die, or this service goes away.
Thanks again for being great.
Paypal and ebay are the biggest scam artists in the country. Paypal will take money out of your account without your authorization. I am in the process of taking them to court
They are unfair i message them but no answer. I called and they hung up and left me on hold for 2 hours. They don't want to help me at all. Paypal is unfair and are haters
Over the past 3 months, I have ordered products from companies and used PayPal a method of payment. The items were always shipped to my current/new address. Last week I ordered several items from Groupon, and the items were shipped to an address that I no longer live at. I went to the address and the people there communicated that they do not have the products, and the post office stated that they were delivered. I contacted both Groupon and PayPal, and PayPal refuses to credit my account the money for the lost/stolen items. PayPal's customer service is outsourced to another country, and the people that I engaged with are a negative reflection on PayPal Brand. They are very argumentative and no not understand what the issue is after I explained it numerous times; I do not have the product, I have not lived at that address in the past 11 months, and I should not have to pay for products that were stolen/lost. I asked PayPal to close the account and they refuse to stating that I have to pay the balance due first. Really? Do nott use PayPal, if you have lost or stolen items that will assume that you are lying regardless of what you tell them. It appears that they are robots reading from a strip with no emotional intelligence. Visa, MC, and Walmart would have credited your account for the lost/stolen items.
After 5 years they lock my account. No reason given. A month later I am trying to close my account and they won't let me or give me a reason. Guess I'll contact my attorney and start a lawsuit
Paypal is a fraud
When you use Paypal Pay later they do not help you in case you return the merchandise and the seller does not want to return the money because PayPal closes the case for the benefit of the seller and you will pay the total even though they returned the merchandise
Sincerely, if you are going to buy something, do not paypal and use your own credit card or direct debit to the seller so that you can claim the money with your credit card or bank account because if you use Paypal to make a PayPal transaction it is a fraud and they never want to refund the money or be in favor of the buyer
A customer has filed a charge-back claim through PayPal. We have provided full and comprehensive evidence of the parcel delivery with full tracking number details and even went as far as attaching the postage label that was used for the parcel. Instead of safeguarding the transaction under seller protection, PayPal chose to scam us for the full amount plus charge-back fee of $15 to add insult to injury. We have sent three messages through their site and no help was provided. They refused to refund the money and insist of scamming us. We are now filing a claim with the NSW Fair Trading and ACCC Australia. Given the comprehensive evidence we provided. Those government agencies will force PayPal to refund us the transaction total. This review is written to ensure potential PayPal customers are aware of PayPal's fraudulent service. Rest assured that for whatever PayPal fees you are paying, you are not getting protected under their fake seller protection policy in any way shape or form. They will violate their policy in a heart beat and scam you at any given time. I advise you to think twice before you sign up to their service.
I would have given them a minus rating if I had that option.
I ordered from two different companies through PayPal and got shafted both times. I have used PayPal in the past and they were excellent. This last time I ordered an item and it was less than 1/4 the size advertised. Only after I escalated this dispute to PayPal did the company respond with an offer for a full refund. I found out today that to put a tracking number on the return cost will be more than the refund I am seeking. I send the first dispute I had with them back to the company without a tracking number and now after 4 months they can't find the returned parcel so I am out almost $150 so sending this one back without the tracking number is not an option. However I have until Dec 17 to respond to this offer for a refund. The the only way I can contact PapPal with an update is with the tracking number and method of return. I called them and I tried emailing them but you can't get past the recording and the help line that is useless. Order from a known box store or from Amazon at least you will have a chance on getting your goods. Stay away from PayPal because if you need assistance outside of the online chat you are S O L.
I was over charged by a merchant, spent about an hour and 45 minutes on the phone before reimbursement.
Then, over a year ago, I could NOT login due to an error. I was in the process of moving as a physically disabled individual.
Today, I called customer service. Supposedly, I owed $21 to Dollar Play, however, I have never used Dollar Play. I was told I had 180 days to dispute the charge and that window had passed. I vaguely remember seeing the fraudulent charge but, did MOT have the emotional energy nor the time to make an effort to resolve it. Jamie, the customer service rep kept rxcapating the situation
I had difficulty understanding Jamie, with a strong accent. He also kept repeating, "I understand", but clearly, he did NOT. I stated that "I understand' was probably cultural in India. He informede he was NOT from India. Then I realized his accent was Hispanic. I told him i did NOT appreciate being told "I understand". He told me I was discriminatory. He may be a US citizen and culturally aware of the US, however, "I understand" is poor Customer service and I was giving me an escape. Again, he repeated that I was discriminatory.
I find him discriminatory, if we're going to use that card. As a physically disabled adult in the process of moving, he / PayPal could provide a reasonable accommodation for a legitimate charge.
Don't expect much from Pay Pal customer service. Fraudulent charges take great effort by their customers. Now, I'm a former customer.
I've used paypal since it first began many years ago without any problems, But recently i decided to use paypal credit for the first time. It was a horrible scam. If you purchase items using paypal credit, And then make a payment towards that amount, Your money does not go towards your purchase price. First they lay a large fee on you every month, Mine was 27.00 per month, And then they charge you interest on the total amount, Including their high monthly fee. So My first 40.00 every month was being applied only to their fees and interests, And not towards the actual items that i purchased. In order to get any money towards my purchase, I had to make huge monthly payments. And then the following month, I would have to do it all again. In the end i decided it would be easier, And cheaper for me to pay off the entire bill at once, Even though i couldn't afford it, Because their monthly charges were rediculously high. And there is no way to apply your money to your purchases first, To bring the cost down. The whole system is a scam designed to put your account in the negative, So that you can never pay it off. I will never use paypal credit again.
PayPal Is Full Of It. I Had So Many Problems With Them And With My Account With Them. I Had Lost a Lot Of Money With Them. And For Some Reason My Account Has Been Closed Twice By Them For NO Reason At All. I Will Never Recommend Them To Anyone!
I purchased a bumper for a car. When the bumper came it I took it to a body shop for installation, the shop notified me that the bumper had a manufacturing defect and would take a minimum of 8 hours labor to repair. I opened a dispute with paypal and showed them pictures of the bumper placed on the car to test for fitment, showing the bumper did not properly fit. Paypal denied my dispute stating I had installed and drivin the vehicle. I called paypal and appealed, they asked for a letter from the shop stating they had not modified it and it would take 8 hours to repair. I submitted the letter and was denied again for "modifying the bumper" I called again, and again, and again... Everytime they reopened the case and then denied it the same day for the same reason! I then sat on hold with another rep for 1.5 hours while she reviewed the evidence and she got back to me and told me the case was closed in my favor and apologized for the difficulty I went thru. I got a email the next day stating my case was denied. I called again and the agent told me we will not find in your favor, call your credit card company.
Paypal cost me $250 because they kept asking for verification and I worked hard to send all verification of passport, state identification etc on multiple devises and did it all properly and they still kept asking for verification. I do Freelance work and my Client had already sent me $250 and he has a very good bank account and is wealthy but they would not let me have the money! 10 years ago my Ex ruined my credit but I have been reestablishing it so I don't know if that it is what caused the problem, but finally after three weeks of calling PayPal, sending verification multiple times and them simply saying "try again to turn in your i.d." they sent the $250 back to the Client saying they couldn't verify me. I worked hard, 10 hours on the project for that money... and Paypal returned it back to him! I did not want to go into detail about my financial credit being messed up by my Ex and he was already acting aggravated to figure out another method so I just let him have the money. It was very unprofessional even to have to explain to the Client why PayPal sent the money back, so I had no choice but to drop the matter with the Client. Since it had been ten years, I went to a credit union and they gave me an account but since I have heard others had a hard time with Small Business Accounts and Paypal so I will never use them again. When someone sends money, PayPal should not refuse us to get it unless they have a scam history. I have a perfectly clean record in everything, not even a traffic ticket, except for my Ex ruining my credit... 10... years... ago so PayPal should have given me my money.
I HOPE THAT PAYPAL FAIL AS A COMPANY!
They limited my account for the reason that for them i was underage even when i send them the ID.And im 25 y/o. Then i call the call center and they say my account is limited permanently but paypal doesnt give the reason for that and its not for my age like they say.
This was the message in the email
After a review, we decided to permanently limit your account as we found potential risk associated with it.
PayPal block my account without any reason.
DONT TRUST PayPal ANYMORE. They are freezing peoples money without reason.
Stay away from PayPal. I paid for an item with them, a fairly expensive one. When I found out that the item was not available with the vendor at all, I canceled the purchase. However, PayPal allowed the transaction to go through.
A refund was made, however, because it was an international transaction, the amount refunded in £ was less than what I paid by £60!
PayPal pocketed the money and gave me the following feedback, concluding that it was ok to pay that money for something i never received:
Dear Mr. X,
Thank you for contacting PayPal with your concern.
I understand that there is a different amount of the transaction that you receive. The reason why is because the currency conversion is changing from time to time and once you process a refund and the value changed we are following the update currency value in our system.
Thank you for being part of the PayPal community. For additional questions, please visit www.paypal.com and click Help & Contact, near the bottom of any page.

Answer: I would not recommend PayPal to anyone for anything they're a joke of a business
Answer: Paypal will NOT be on your side if the item is not as described. I bought an item that was totally wrong, advertised as "handmade, hand quilted, made of brushed Kona cotton", picture was beautiful with wonderful quilting and vibrant colors and I was buying from a company from Texas. I received an item from Texas, not handmade, not hand quilted, not vibrant colors, not brushed cotton and it was just a picture printed on cheap polyester/nylon fabric. Hideous. I paid $99.90. Company first offered to refund $30, nope, still way too expensive for a cheap quilt that I wouldn't even use for my pets. Then said if I return the "quilt" to China at my expense they would refund the money. Cost to return? $70. Paypal agreed with this company, denied my claim and I'm sitting here with something I would feel cheated if I paid $10. Paypal is not the company it once was. Use your credit card as that company will have your back. Looking to see what a better option is than Paypal. 20 year customer and I'm done. I do not think anyone actually reads our messages to Paypal.
Answer: They have become a money laundry scamming allowing company. Stay away at any cost.
Answer: USPS delievered it to the wrong address my pacakge was supposed to be delievered too 35710 Bay Morgan Ln, Fallbrook, CA 92028 when USPS delivered it to an address simillar to this one 12354 Alcatal Street (do not know the exact address since they did not email me, but you can call USPS and ask, and that is how I found out) Fallbrook, CA 92028, right city and zip code, far away address.
Answer: I'm thinking someone has to work there, if you send messages you will get a canned reply, I get the same response from 10 messages, basically "suck it up buttercup, you have just been played" but if you try to actually talk to a person good luck.
Answer: They dont. They wait for you to forget it. You get money back if you fill in a form after 180 days.
Answer: Do never send money to PayPal. That money is lost. This company has become a Giants money laundry company.
Answer: No there is not. PayPal protects scammers. Be sure to never use them.
Answer: It doesn't matter if you report them or not PayPal won't do nothing about it they continued to let the scammers operate on their site and do not protect consumers
Answer: SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH THAT LOT, THEY CLAIM TO REFUND AMOUNTS PAID FOR ITEMS THAT DO NOT ARRIVE THATS "BS" I HAVE HAD 3 SUCH CLAIMS FROM 14 TRANSACTIONS AND HAVE NEVER GOT A REFUND DESPITE THEIR CLAIMS, THEY ARE CROOKS, FULL STOP, KEEP WELL CLEAR OF THEM.
