The overall reputation of the company reflects significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its customer service and support. Many reviews highlight frustrations with delayed transactions, ineffective resolution of disputes, and a lack of proactive communication. Customers frequently report feeling unsupported in cases of fraud or issues with received goods. However, some positive sentiments emerge, particularly regarding the perceived reliability of PayPal as a payment method for certain transactions, which customers associate with enhanced buyer protection. Despite this, the overwhelming trend indicates a critical need for improvement in customer service responsiveness and dispute resolution processes.

We bought a garden, and we waited for months, got nothing when we disputed it with PayPal they told us to wait we did get a tracking number after months of tracking, we received it in the mail It was a nail clipper sets when we try to dispute it they informed us they would do nothing for us. I canceled our credit card with them we'll never use them again ever.
Occasionally payment through PayPal goes well. The rest of the time, you are NEVER going to get it sorted out. Be prepared for cancelled, blocked, denied, etc. transactions with no reason, no warning, and no admitting they're the ones doing it. Currently they also have NO human support services, either, so there's no one to contact to explain why they're wrong. I won't be using them again, you shouldn't either.
I purchased an item through PayPal from a small startup when I did not receive a confirmation from the company I purchased it from I went to PayPal to get information on the item there is no live person to contact PayPal there is no live messaging right now with PayPal and when the seller avoided any contacts through phone number or email and I complained it was a difficult process to even get in touch with them they're allowing several days for the seller to contact when I received information finally from PayPal I was given a tracking number that was fraudulent it stated I had received the item in question before I get ever actually purchased it which unless you can time travel doesn't happen and and the only response I got from PayPal this is weird still have not received my refund driver Quest it still have not received an accurate tracking number and PayPal is still dragging his feet about getting me a refund I would advise for no one can use PayPal if you need to purchase something purchase it through a credit card or a prepaid card so at least you can try to get your money back then or go through Amazon or somebody more reputable PayPal is not to be trusted
It was a very bad experience for me((( Though they declare Buyer Protection however they work together with scammers. I've ordered an item and got absolutely worthless piece of crap. I've opened a case with PayPal, provided all evidences. At first they told me to return a thing on my own expense to be able to receive my money back(it would cost me the same amount of money and wouldn't make any sense) After long discussion they said I'd get my expense back when a seller gets an item back what sounds very tricky too since it's not save to go to a post office during a current pandemic situation at all plus I have no reason to trust that seller and to put more money on risk. For my proposition to simply give me my money back and then deal with a seller they've just denied a case. I won't use it any more and don't recommend PayPal to anybody
PayPal are a bunch of thieves. They authorize and take money from your ac ount and when you dispute these felonious withdrawals PayPal says, "sorry, can't help you it was done on a 'guest' account". Someone has to stop them from robbing people enough is enough if you like throwing your money away with no recourse to a bunch of sitting on their butt thieves than by all means use PayPal.
I have initiated 2 dispute resolutions and neither was satisfactorily resolved. They are incompetent and exasperating to deal with. People need to understand that they exist solely because businesses choose their platform as a payment method. They are not interested in making consumers whole, as was the my recent experience where I paid for items that I never received, but only to negotiate an offer so that the companies they are beholden to get something for nothing. You will get much better service and protection through your credit card company. And they charge you 3% per transaction for the privilege of not representing your interests. Doing what is fair or right doesn't even enter into the equation
The resolution center is terrible! My problem with a merchant escalated to the resolution center, they do anything. They closed my case without even notifying me. Now I am out of my hard earned my and to top that off I never received my item. PayPal stinks. Don't use them and order from vendors in the USA.
PayPal is completely useless, and it's a waste of time to request your money back after being scammed. I've sent numerous communications between the seller and I. Still no helpful feedback/refund from PayPal. This has been ongoing for almost 3 months... they have done nothing to help get my money back from a company in China, that is very obviously fraudulent. I will never make a purchase through PayPal. Please stay far away from PayPal and any affiliates. They are scamming just as the companies they're supposed to protect our money from.
Customer service is awful. If you do not receive a shipment they will not send a refund. They are bogus.
I have been using PayPal since 2014, They were great and kept sellers honest but as of late it is like they are working with the dishonest sellers to make money of their own. They allow a seller you fraud you then offer to give half your money back meaning the seller is still making money off you. Or You pay PayPal to get your money back.
I had a $50 transaction through PayPal. I never received the product ordered and paid for. After weeks of trying to reach the vendor without response, I requested Dispute Resolution to cancel the order and return my Amex charge. I waited weeks without a response and inquired regarding the status of my case. Finally got a response that my claim was declined without an explanation why. I wrote back restating the details and asking how they could decline my claim. I received a response: We have reviewed this transaction(s) and are denying your case(s). This decision was made because we received shipment tracking from the merchant confirming that the merchandise was delivered. I wrote back and asked how they could of made that determination when they did not contact me and I never received the products purchased? I requested to see the support for their decision and a phone number to speak with someone to voice my complaint. I never received a response. I have made approximately 25 transactions over the past few years using PayPal without a delivery incident. This was the first involving their customer support. I am extremely disappointed they did not respond and basically assisted in the theft of my money. Fortunately I made 1 call to Amex and they refunded me for my loss. I will try to avoid further use of PayPal and suggest using your credit cards dispute services rather than PayPal's dispute group that is non-responsive and must be lazy or one-sided in dispute reviews.
I thought it was an extra safety step to protect from dodgy online criminals. I was wrong in the sense that i was scammed by a company with pp's help and no come back. Luckily the amount was very small so it was a cheap lesson. Avoid paypal, setup your own security with your own banks help. You will be surprised at the help your bank can give you.
I open a claim because I never received the item. PayPal told me it was delivered but the tracking number didn't say that so they closed my claim. I called PayPal and I asked for the tracking number about the delivery but PayPal won't give it to me
So now they closed my claim. I GOT RIPPED OFF BY PAYPAL.
I submitted a claim through paypal since I never received my item PayPal advised me by messaging that my refund was denied because there was a tracking # but I never received my item! This is stilling money from people and paypal should be liable! I don't know how they exist after so many bad reviews regarding similar situation as mine!

Do not open an account they are scammers
Paypal is no longer a safe high quality website to trust when doing your online shopping, they now support scam sellers and they do not care about the evidence you provide simply because most of customer representatives are international workers from overseas especially South Asia and they support scammers who also come from South Asia, unfortunately PayPal chose to hire cheap customer representatives from overseas to save money instead of hiring the professional ones who will handle your dispute fairly.
Paypal is now a corrupted company and no longer shinning like a star as it used to be.
I recently made a purchase through a guest account on PayPal. The seller sent me a fake tracking number showing the item delivered one month before I ordered it. I messaged PayPal and included pictures of emails sent to me by PayPal which included the receipt number, transaction number, and tracking number from the company. Multiple representatives from the PayPal message center have contacted me all with excuses saying they cannot find the transaction number, receipt number, etc. their excuse for not helping me is that they can't find the transaction which is a lie and the multiple representatives keep requesting the same information over and over. PayPal is a waste of your time and a wonderful way to get ripped off through a third party company. Do not use PayPal!
I AM FUMING paypal your a joke i think im dealing with a bunch of clowns i opened a case as there was a item faulty wich i got so i get a mess off ebay saying your item as been returned i also on my case in paypal get the tracking details there right in front of your eyes i also paid extra so they the seller at to sign for it i also get that on myhermes stating its been deliverd and signed for so i paid 73 pound for item the seller now as my item plus my money and my extra money for postege i thought this is cut case i done everthing right then i get this of paypal

Their merchant *******@163, scammed me, Paypal has not tried to help me with my refund. I purchased a bicycle, the merchant sent a package weighing 1 oz, significantly weighing different than a bicycle, Pay pal passed the problem back to me telling me to get a refund from my bank. Weeks, time, energy, messaging Paypal, to now be ignored.
Beware. Paypal is not all it claims to be.
Answer: I would not recommend PayPal to anyone for anything they're a joke of a business
Answer: Paypal will NOT be on your side if the item is not as described. I bought an item that was totally wrong, advertised as "handmade, hand quilted, made of brushed Kona cotton", picture was beautiful with wonderful quilting and vibrant colors and I was buying from a company from Texas. I received an item from Texas, not handmade, not hand quilted, not vibrant colors, not brushed cotton and it was just a picture printed on cheap polyester/nylon fabric. Hideous. I paid $99.90. Company first offered to refund $30, nope, still way too expensive for a cheap quilt that I wouldn't even use for my pets. Then said if I return the "quilt" to China at my expense they would refund the money. Cost to return? $70. Paypal agreed with this company, denied my claim and I'm sitting here with something I would feel cheated if I paid $10. Paypal is not the company it once was. Use your credit card as that company will have your back. Looking to see what a better option is than Paypal. 20 year customer and I'm done. I do not think anyone actually reads our messages to Paypal.
Answer: They have become a money laundry scamming allowing company. Stay away at any cost.
Answer: USPS delievered it to the wrong address my pacakge was supposed to be delievered too 35710 Bay Morgan Ln, Fallbrook, CA 92028 when USPS delivered it to an address simillar to this one 12354 Alcatal Street (do not know the exact address since they did not email me, but you can call USPS and ask, and that is how I found out) Fallbrook, CA 92028, right city and zip code, far away address.
Answer: I'm thinking someone has to work there, if you send messages you will get a canned reply, I get the same response from 10 messages, basically "suck it up buttercup, you have just been played" but if you try to actually talk to a person good luck.
Answer: They dont. They wait for you to forget it. You get money back if you fill in a form after 180 days.
Answer: Do never send money to PayPal. That money is lost. This company has become a Giants money laundry company.
Answer: No there is not. PayPal protects scammers. Be sure to never use them.
Answer: It doesn't matter if you report them or not PayPal won't do nothing about it they continued to let the scammers operate on their site and do not protect consumers
Answer: SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH THAT LOT, THEY CLAIM TO REFUND AMOUNTS PAID FOR ITEMS THAT DO NOT ARRIVE THATS "BS" I HAVE HAD 3 SUCH CLAIMS FROM 14 TRANSACTIONS AND HAVE NEVER GOT A REFUND DESPITE THEIR CLAIMS, THEY ARE CROOKS, FULL STOP, KEEP WELL CLEAR OF THEM.
