I paid for my airline tickets using PayPal 4 payment option. PayPal did not the airline company even though they took the money from my account. When dealing with the customer service agent he told me they would holding the money for 72 business hours even though I got an email saying my tickets were cancelled due to non payment, the tickets had now also gone $62.00 a person. I told the agent I would be reporting this to my bank and the better business bureau. The agent then said he would be using an option to hold the money for 3 weeks.
Was ripped off by a Chinese "Seller" for $67.30. PayPal did nothing whatsoever about it and closed the case. And made no one available to talk to.
Paypal are by far the worst company i have ever had the misfortune to TRY and deal with. They took money out of my bank account, contacted them, admitted mistake, said it would back in account in 5 days.no probs. 5 weeks later, no refund, and tried to blame my bank. The vendor provided a fake address in Europe that was cost-prohibitive for me to return a 10 kg item. Paypal kept assuring me I would receive my refund and reimbursement up to $45 postage cost - the shipping cost was going to be over $145...
Bottom line, didn't get my refund, Paypal absolutely unhelpful. Will NEVER use Paypal again.
I have been using PayPal for years both professionally with the multiple business I own as well as for personal use. They have NEVER refunded me money with disputes. I used them because I thought they were supposed to be an extra layer of protection. I have had two disputes that clearly were something they should have reversed the charges on. Had pictures and video proof. They only protect the companies that are collecting money not you making purchasing and spending the money. I will never use them again since my credit card company always has my back. So each time I had to waste my time with PayPal not doing the right thing, and my credit card company taking care of the issue correctly. Why add hours and weeks of extra work to have PayPal not have my back when it would have been easier to just have the credit card company take care of it.
I bought a dress off of Etsy. The seller uses Pay Pal. It had been a while since I've used Pay Pal, and forgot that my older Visa card was linked. Well Pay Pal paid the seller for me. I then had a negative balance. I attempted to pay it online, over the phone, and resolve it with pictures of my current card and drivers license on Pay Pal. PAY PAL WOULDN'T TAKE ANY OF MY PAYMENTS, BECAUSE THEY WON'T ACCEPT VISA@!@!@! THEY RUSHED THE NEGATIVE BALANCE TO COLLECTIONS!@!@!@!@!@!@! IT'S BEEN THERE FOR A WEEK. THIS IS BEYOND FRUSTRATING AND RIDICULOUS, BECAUSE I AM TRYING TO PAY THE GODDAMN BALANCE. THEY SAY IT HAS TO BE A MASTERCARD OR AMERICAN EXPRESS... THE LAST TIME I CHECKED DOESN'T THE ENTIRE WORLD RUN ON VISA?

I used my paypal account to buy a $134.40 item on Ebay, I made the first payment July 26 through Key bank. The money's been withdrawn from my account but paypal says they don't have it. I called Key bank, They wanted a fax number for paypal so they could send all the information that they sent the money, I provided that. Still haven't been credited it on paypal. I tried (several times) to get information online, finally got tired of chasing my tail so I called, no help there either. A maze of robots to get through and when I finally get a live person I can't understand what she's saying.
Purchased an item online through Spreetail. Avoid them like the plague. Returned an item and the vendor sent a shipping label. They received the item and sent mail an email telling my refund was on its way. It never showed up. Had do dispute the amount through PayPal. Have documentation showing the vendor approved the refund. Somehow I lost the PayPal dispute, so no refund. They stole hundreds from me.

Bought a Prepaid card. Its not a prepaid card. They explicitly say there are no fees beyond the purchase fee for prepaid use. This is a lie. Then you cannot communicate with a human being and their website kicks you off and wont let you back in. Now I cant access the money one the card, nor get a refund for what they stole. Let me know when the class action starts.

I was not able to pay on time, theres no confirm receipt payment option in my boyfriends PayPal account so I still have to wait. And what really pissed me off is that PayPal does not mention ahead about the money being on hold, we could have send through western union. I received an item from Texas, not handmade, not hand quilted, not vibrant colors, not brushed cotton and it was just a picture printed on cheap polyester/nylon fabric. Hideous. I paid $99.90. Company first offered to refund $30, nope, still way too expensive for a cheap quilt that I wouldn't even use for my pets. Then said if I return the "quilt" to China at my expense they would refund the money. Cost to return? $70. Paypal agreed with this company, denied my claim and I'm sitting here with something I would feel cheated if I paid $10. Paypal is not the company it once was. Use your credit card as that company will have your back. Looking to see what a better option is than Paypal. 20 year customer and I'm done. I do not think anyone actually reads our messages to Paypal.
