Has sold my Polar 600 watches through ebay. After buyer has kept it for a couple of weeks and decided to return it, PayPal just withheld my money, gave me a notice on negative balance and that was it. No rights for sellers to dispute or refuse to refund. Unfair and unjust.
First off, bad policies. A friend sent me some money via paypal that she owed me. But surprise! It would only take 5 business days for it to clear! Well the money was intended to be used for a bill that was due in 2 days. So I called them up & got a chinese dude who barely spoke any english, & he told me that was their new policy so to make sure it's not fraudulent. Ok so my bill was paid off late & I got a late fee thanks to paypal.
Paypal needs more american employees. I speak english I expect an english speaking customer service agent. Not some guy 9,000 miles away.
I question you sometimes, Paypal. -__-
My experience of PayPal is excellent from the efficient and knowledgable staff who are genuine and not false with scripts to read from like some telephone reps. They protect the customer in disputes where the seller has operated in certain unacceptable ways which do not adhere to trading standards. PayPal can control these situations by holding the customers money under the appropriate conditions and can enforce a full refund from the seller within a time scale if the seller has failed to meet selling requirements.
They were more interested in their 'bottom line' than they were in helping me recover from proven scam.
After a month of dealing with them, I decided terminate my Account with Paypal.
The CCard Company was very helpful.
PayPal Is slow on payments if you like waiting 7-14 business days to get your money then great. I had two wait 3 weeks for a payment to clear lame. PayPal my message to you. Your getting swept under the rug like a piece of dust forgotten in the stitches of time beucase your service sucks so much $#*! crack.
I started using PayPal a couple years after it was established, it has never caused me any problems and always works. Perfect for paying for things together with your friends, family and large groups in general. Never once I have worried about the security and safety of my financial business with them. It's a no-brainer if you don't have it.
And their cust serv people have no clue or ability to help. All they do is walk you through the things you've already tried and then recommend you wait 48 hours and try again. When that doesn't work and you get fed up they call you a liar and incompetent for being unable to follow their stupid instructions. There is no escalations team for dealing with issues at a higher level, and the people who work in cust serv don't even have access to accounts.
They stole over $1000 from me.
Apparently, PayPal's fraud mechanism has again arbitrarily determined that one of my employees is not the actual owner of their PayPal account but instead a hacker and locked him out until proper documents can be sent in for verification. As the client account executes large payment transactions via PayPal, the lockout hinders their account representative who is now no longer able to function and the client's business is impeded. As this is the second time PayPal has disrupted our business operations, we will be migrating clients with significant monetary transaction history off of PayPal and unto more conventional financial platforms. PayPal was once great, but increasingly they suffer from the same fraud paranoia that infects some banking institutions.
I have never had any problems with Paypal. I use the site on a regular basis to pay for ebay transactions. I find it very useful for that application.
I don't use paypal in many other forms. I will say for payment to sellers for items and such it has become the Ebay norm. You almost always have to use paypal now. Which I don't mind it's easy to do and use.
Good site if you can find uses for it.
Since joining e-bay in 2005 I have always used pay pal and although their fees are quite high have always been more than satisfied with their level of service, however my last encounter (refund from fashionmia) was at first refused as fashionmia would not collect parcel in china as they had to pay import duties, If it had not been for the excellent staff at parcel monkey who acquired and sent a POD for me pay pal would not have refunded. I did complain to them and they did give me an extra 5 pounds for the hassle, would have preferred no hassle though.
I ordered paper towels and toilet paper during the coronavirus pandemic. We were desperate and were laid off from our jobs. The seller located in China, stole our money and never sent our product. This has been going on for months and there's nobody at PayPal to speak to. TD bank said that they have seen this nonstop and not to deal with PayPal ever again! Buyer Beware!
Paypal is protecting a fraudulent operation called Shark Shop. Many people have ordered from this company which is located in China. You do not get what you pay for and Paypal will not take any action against Shark Shop. Just read the review about Shark Shop and you will see that many people have been defrauded by this company. Paypal doesn't care and will not help dispute the issues with this company. Shame on Paypal.
Be careful if you buy something in foreign currency! If the item doesn't arrive and you will get your money refunded it will be less, due to different rate of converting it back!
Happened to me on several occasions, what I got back was some 8 percent less to what I originally paid! I didn't get my item and less money back! Money down the drain! When contacted paypal, they are just going in circles without actually helping or caring, in their mind there is nothing wrong when a buyer loses their money for nothing! They should credit me the rate difference!
I won't be touching paypal/ ebay with a barge pole in the future, will be closing my account and will take my business elsewhere!
I am sure that if everything goes to plan, ie both the buying and seller are legitimate, you will have not problems with this site. Unfortunately if one or the other is fraudulent it does not work. I tried to buy something over the internet with Paypal but did not receive the goods. When I complained to Paypal, it was suggested that I contact the seller to arrange an amicable settlement. I had emailed the seller four times and not received a reply. I put in a dispute but I was informed the next day that Paypal was happy that there was no fraudulent activity. I do not understand how they could have found this out so quickly as I put in the dispute on a Saturday evening and received a reply Sunday morning. I am left nearly £80.00 out of pocket and Terrence Webb (seller) is laughing all the way to the bank.
Haven't had a problem with PayPal so far, I'm hoping that it stays that way! I've paid through them a lot, and never had a problem/issue with anything! When I did have an issue, a customer rep was able to help me resolved it! I've only made one dispute through them, for a company I'd bought an item from, that was old/out-dated! Didn't have any problems getting my refund from the company, thank god for PayPal! Probably wouldn't of gotten it at all, wish a lot of other sites/companies would make purchasing through PayPal, a option!
Trying to resolve issues with Paypal. They've hung up on me twice and now have had me on hold for over an hour. Guess you're expected to not make mistake and they expect you to revovle around their time. Sh**y service period.
I adopted a dog and paid using paypal. I never saw the phrase that says they don't cover animals which means they don't make refuns if the transaction covers an animal. Anyway if they don't protect buyers against such transaction then why on earth they deal w/ animal rescue. What are you going to buy from an animal rescue other than an animal. They're really bad people and they only want to make money. So my advice always pay through your credit card, you can always dispute a claim and get your money back.
My daughter baught item from a Disney seller on FB and used PayPal. She only received one portion of her items. When my daughter disputed, the seller gave PayPal a tracking number for the first purchase and said she had mailed all items in that shipment. My daughter offered to share the FB private messages which includes admission from seller that what she told PayPal was false, PayPal said they could not use those messages. Now they've sided with the seller after telling my daughter that this would be resolved as a seller could not use one tracking number for multiple different orders. This company's customer service is all over the place as well, you get a different answer every time you talk to someone!
This is totally ridiculous. I know that there are reputable sellers out there, but please stay away from these scammers that make their pages private. You can't review them and can't verify if they're a legitimate business.
Allow money to be stollen from your accounts woth no security checks. £300 removed from a bank account via PayPal then they closed down the account and PayPal don't flag this as fraud and say its OK. Stupid company needs shutting down
A few weeks ago, PayPal restricted our business account without notice and without cause. We were locked out of our account for five days, including a weekend. I had to use my personal funds to run my business. What if I didn't have the funds in my personal account? This is a small business, generating more than $150K a year. When asked why this happened, the PayPal representative said, "That's the way we work. If you want to leave PayPal, we will respect your decision." That's it. I am still flabbergasted that I would get that response from a reputable business. No more. They act like they are the only payment platform.
Answer: I would not recommend PayPal to anyone for anything they're a joke of a business
Answer: Paypal will NOT be on your side if the item is not as described. I bought an item that was totally wrong, advertised as "handmade, hand quilted, made of brushed Kona cotton", picture was beautiful with wonderful quilting and vibrant colors and I was buying from a company from Texas. I received an item from Texas, not handmade, not hand quilted, not vibrant colors, not brushed cotton and it was just a picture printed on cheap polyester/nylon fabric. Hideous. I paid $99.90. Company first offered to refund $30, nope, still way too expensive for a cheap quilt that I wouldn't even use for my pets. Then said if I return the "quilt" to China at my expense they would refund the money. Cost to return? $70. Paypal agreed with this company, denied my claim and I'm sitting here with something I would feel cheated if I paid $10. Paypal is not the company it once was. Use your credit card as that company will have your back. Looking to see what a better option is than Paypal. 20 year customer and I'm done. I do not think anyone actually reads our messages to Paypal.
Answer: They have become a money laundry scamming allowing company. Stay away at any cost.
Answer: USPS delievered it to the wrong address my pacakge was supposed to be delievered too 35710 Bay Morgan Ln, Fallbrook, CA 92028 when USPS delivered it to an address simillar to this one 12354 Alcatal Street (do not know the exact address since they did not email me, but you can call USPS and ask, and that is how I found out) Fallbrook, CA 92028, right city and zip code, far away address.
Answer: I'm thinking someone has to work there, if you send messages you will get a canned reply, I get the same response from 10 messages, basically "suck it up buttercup, you have just been played" but if you try to actually talk to a person good luck.
Answer: They dont. They wait for you to forget it. You get money back if you fill in a form after 180 days.
Answer: Do never send money to PayPal. That money is lost. This company has become a Giants money laundry company.
Answer: No there is not. PayPal protects scammers. Be sure to never use them.
Answer: It doesn't matter if you report them or not PayPal won't do nothing about it they continued to let the scammers operate on their site and do not protect consumers
Answer: SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH THAT LOT, THEY CLAIM TO REFUND AMOUNTS PAID FOR ITEMS THAT DO NOT ARRIVE THATS "BS" I HAVE HAD 3 SUCH CLAIMS FROM 14 TRANSACTIONS AND HAVE NEVER GOT A REFUND DESPITE THEIR CLAIMS, THEY ARE CROOKS, FULL STOP, KEEP WELL CLEAR OF THEM.
