Lost plenty of money to a fraudulent Chinese company because PayPal are absolutely useless when it matters. No interest in looking beyond the superficial and not interested in combatting blatant criminality through their site.
In short, PayPal is a bad choice. The platform is unnecessarily complicated and creates a lot of headaches. Reporting a problem or resolving an issue is troublesome. Customer service is unreachable, leaving you trapped and frustrated, waiting for their action, which comes normally after unjustifiable very long time.
Any small business has live chat for support but PayPal is offering you a limited list of enquirers and if you did not find what you are looking for, they refer you to their community!
The fees are not only overpriced but also not being informed upfront.
I'm waiting to use up my remaining balance and I will shut my account for good.
3 days after receiving a large sum of money that I NEED ASAP I am still getting this error message when I try to transfer my money. I called them multiple times. Spent hours on hold. They have the worst customer service imaginable. Their entire company is based on wearing out the customer, in order to use their money interest free for as long as possible. They should be shut down!
The staff is extremely polite - that's for sure... but ultimately ineffective in resolving your issue.
Found them to have convoluted and duplicative processes as well as siloed customer service. Nobody can really help you unless you escalate to a manager. Even then, you get shunted to other areas of the company and of course, they all have different phone numbers... All of this takes enormous time, energy and repetition of information across the lines.
I engaged them as my billing service in good faith - but am now working at closing my accounts. Too much confusion in keeping business and personal accounts separate... hard to believe that I have to "work at " closing my accounts - but that's the truth!
Totally disappointed! Good luck!
Not sure why anyone would use anything else besides paypal - These days I'm not sure why if you have a website you would even bother risking your money to an unknown CC processing company. I think people should just stick with paypal.com, google checkout, or quickbooks as those companies offer some of the best options available.
Great site, helps me pay on places I don't trust 100%, and is a nice way of getting paid quickly or from people that are bad when it comes to paying. You send them a request for money and they don't have an excuse, they can even pay with their credit card. No more "the check is in the mail" or "I will go to the bank to deposit tomorrow"
Great tool for managing income via my website, and for paying for online purchases securely. When I have raised a couple of disputes over the last 8 years or so, they were resolved reasonably and quickly by PayPal.
Like many businesses that handle payments, PayPal levies fees for their services. It's always wonderful if costs can be reduced so that creators may keep more of the money they work so hard to earn, even though I expect and accept that fees are ultimately inevitable. When price increases are necessary to take percentages into account, it is unpleasant. However, in general, I have found PayPal's costs to be among the lowest, so this is a very small issue.
Used paypal for nearly 6 years for about 50% of my online purchases. I open disputes in only 8 cases (on over 200 purchases) because of online stores that went bankrupt and didn't refund (Anime-island, now having problems with nippon yassan), all ended in my favor. Now (29 April) i received a mail saying "you can no longer use our service" claiming misuse of the protection program (in that case why all cases ended in my favour?) even when the uses where totally justified.
Their support its basically a bot saying that they dont known the precise cause of the ban and cant due anything about it.
I do understand that banks and companies like PayPal must confirm your identity. Hence, I work for a company that needs to do this.
What I don't understand is that PayPal, a company that works in almost every country, makes it impossible to adapt your data. Impossible! But limit your account because of this.
PayPal! There are many inhabitants of the universe who move from country to country for their jobs. They live there for some years. Or shorter, and then move on to another country.
But because of your faulty website, information cannot be changed.
Thus, I cannot change info, because your website doesn't let me, yet I am the one who is being limited?!
I tried to remove my account, but I cannot even do this because of the data that I need to provide.
You know what!. Do you believe I am going against your AML/TF regulations? Please report me. I don't care, I am as clean as can be.
Known to be close peoples accounts and confiscate they're money for no reason even after giving them all your personal information Id Driving license bank statement etc.Thank you paypal for freezing my account an my money for no reason. I learned a lot by avoiding you. There are a ton of services out there with much lower fees that doesn't steal peoples hard earned money.
PayPal is the worst.
They freeze accounts, they withhold funds, they seize funds. The only reason they are where they are because they were the 1st. I hope in the future, there are strong alternatives to replace them.
Paypal do not refer you to an adviser with problems, instead get a robot bod, that keeps repeating itself.
Also been waiting ages for a refund for something that I cancelled. Eg no item have been received or returned, however, it is taking a long time and it seems like, it is not the shop or the bank problem. So where is the problem?
I am also not sure how their resolution system works either, if no problems are referred.
I've used PayPal for over 20 years. Today, I attempted to make a 21. Purchased from Home Depot, attempted to use PayPal with no success. After about 10 tries I gave up. What good is it if it doesn't work. What if this were an emergency and I had no way to use it?
From my experience its nothing to write home about i put money into the system and didn't leave with a dime. I regret ever trying, beware i have tried so many other with same outcome and i want to help those of you out there who has been through same. I got the help I was seeking through uncac.net
The money appears in your account the following business day, and the transfers are easy and rapid. I highly suggest it. Extensive accessibility on nearly all websites. Cons include phishing attempts and spoof emails sent to the official email address by people posing as Paypal, which implies ongoing cyberattacks.
PayPal thieves. Scheme of deception: they issue you a PayPal credit card, the only option for using cashback is to transfer it to your PayPal account. Then they block your account and your cashback disappears. PayPal stole more than $300 from me.
I am a black woman. I purchased skin lightening products from the website ebay.com and i didnt even get my products. I notified paypal and they helped me get my money back because the seller accepted paypal.I then purchased skin bleaching products from another seller that accepts paypal called mansionhawaiibeauty.online recommended by ebony magazine and their stronger professional or prescription strenght products make me look far more light skin and this time no problems at all by far the best skin lightening products i have ever found. Thank you paypal for helping me when i needed it and thank you to the mansionhawaiibeauty.online. I recommend only buying from websites that accept paypal because it means you as the buyer are fully protected.
I was scammed from a seller on PayPal, and I reached out to PayPal for help.Theu contacted me and said they couldn't help me, cause I filed a dispute charge to my credit card company.I would recommend to everyone, not use PayPal,cause they do not stand behind the customer satisfaction policy.I was scammed by a China company, that didn't even specify that it was a Chinese based company on the selliers website. And PayPal doesn't want to get involved.People beware, please
Don't believe they will refund you when you get ripped off by retailers. They won't. Their whole dispute and appeal process is a sham. Please find another way to pay for goods on line. They don't live up to their hype. Not even worth one star. How much proof do they need?
Answer: I would not recommend PayPal to anyone for anything they're a joke of a business
Answer: Paypal will NOT be on your side if the item is not as described. I bought an item that was totally wrong, advertised as "handmade, hand quilted, made of brushed Kona cotton", picture was beautiful with wonderful quilting and vibrant colors and I was buying from a company from Texas. I received an item from Texas, not handmade, not hand quilted, not vibrant colors, not brushed cotton and it was just a picture printed on cheap polyester/nylon fabric. Hideous. I paid $99.90. Company first offered to refund $30, nope, still way too expensive for a cheap quilt that I wouldn't even use for my pets. Then said if I return the "quilt" to China at my expense they would refund the money. Cost to return? $70. Paypal agreed with this company, denied my claim and I'm sitting here with something I would feel cheated if I paid $10. Paypal is not the company it once was. Use your credit card as that company will have your back. Looking to see what a better option is than Paypal. 20 year customer and I'm done. I do not think anyone actually reads our messages to Paypal.
Answer: They have become a money laundry scamming allowing company. Stay away at any cost.
Answer: USPS delievered it to the wrong address my pacakge was supposed to be delievered too 35710 Bay Morgan Ln, Fallbrook, CA 92028 when USPS delivered it to an address simillar to this one 12354 Alcatal Street (do not know the exact address since they did not email me, but you can call USPS and ask, and that is how I found out) Fallbrook, CA 92028, right city and zip code, far away address.
Answer: I'm thinking someone has to work there, if you send messages you will get a canned reply, I get the same response from 10 messages, basically "suck it up buttercup, you have just been played" but if you try to actually talk to a person good luck.
Answer: They dont. They wait for you to forget it. You get money back if you fill in a form after 180 days.
Answer: Do never send money to PayPal. That money is lost. This company has become a Giants money laundry company.
Answer: No there is not. PayPal protects scammers. Be sure to never use them.
Answer: It doesn't matter if you report them or not PayPal won't do nothing about it they continued to let the scammers operate on their site and do not protect consumers
Answer: SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH THAT LOT, THEY CLAIM TO REFUND AMOUNTS PAID FOR ITEMS THAT DO NOT ARRIVE THATS "BS" I HAVE HAD 3 SUCH CLAIMS FROM 14 TRANSACTIONS AND HAVE NEVER GOT A REFUND DESPITE THEIR CLAIMS, THEY ARE CROOKS, FULL STOP, KEEP WELL CLEAR OF THEM.
