THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! DO NOT PURCHASE! THERE IS ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WISH I WOULD HAVE SEEN ALL THESE NEGATIVE REVIEWS BEFORE PLACING TWO DIFFERENT ORDERS HOPING TO GET AN RMA FOR THE FIRST ORDER THAT WAS TOO BIG. YOU CANNOT SPEAK TO A HUMAN. I FINALLY CHOSE THE ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE OPTION AND GOT AN EXTREMELY RUDE WOMAN TELLING ME SHE COULD NOT HELP ME AND DID NOT CARE IF I GAVE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. SHE ANSWERED THE PHONE HELLO, NOT PAJAR, THAT TELLS YOU SOMETHING. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, RUDE,. RUDE, RUDE! DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT PURCHASE. FIND SOMETHING ELSE. TOTAL SCAM. ALMOST $500.00 ON TWO ORDERS WITH NO SUPPORT FOR A LEGIT RETURN I WANT TO MAKE.
My $250.00 Mirko boots (see https://ca.pajar.com/collections/mens-ice-gripper/products/mirko) are a monumental waste of money -- soon to be "were a waste of money" as I'm throwing them out this evening. Don't be seduced by the ice-gripper frame. It's fragile and breaks easily, not to mention a nuisance to use. When I told Pajar that my boots leak, that the gripper frame had broken and a hole had developed in the heel, they countered my complaints with a very dishonest response: "You're the first person we've heard that from." Really? What a lie! And don't expect to walk any distance in these boots as the hard soles make them super uncomfortable. To the corner store and back, perhaps, but any further and your feet will be sore. Don't invest your hard-earned dollars in a company that does not care and don't believe the super-hyped descriptions of their boots. Most of it is complete fiction.
The customer service is generally rude and not helpful. They don't pick up your calls until after 10 tries and they don't respond to your emails. The return process is extremely difficult. I have spent $50 to send the item back using Fedex. The item was delivered more than two weeks ago by the tracking number, but I have heard nothing from Pajar regarding the refund. I had to spend my entire day to make one successful phone call with the customer service. The person who eventually picked up my call was rude and she told me that there was nothing she could do about the refund because she was only the distribution center. Overall horrible experience, never buy from them again, not even the brand.
I am revising my original edit as I received a response from Pajar.
I am yet to see how the boots I purchased will work out, but the only thing is that if you want to exchange or have a refund, you must return the new boots at your cost, not worn within 30 days.
I love the quality of Pajar for winter boots. I was using it for more than 3 years and it was still in great condition. It was a bit expensive but I think you get what you pay. The comfort, quality and the looks are what matter most.
Merchant not interested in price adjustment post sale or giving a store credit for the difference in price changes within 14 days of purchase.
You pay for shipping when buying or returning merchandise.
Disappointed really in the lack of customer care.
I was really surprised to do an online search and find so many poor reviews of this company! I purchased a pair of tall leather boots last year to withstand minnesota winters and have been very happy with the product. It is hard to find boots that are stylish AND warm (I have been very unhappy with many known brands that fall apart after a year or two of wear) and these are good quality, warm, comfortable, and waterproof, just as outlined on their site. They were more expensive than I normally pay for boots, but my hope is that they would also be more durable. So far, so good.
I purchased a pair of Trooper boots from Pajar on Black Friday 2022, and after receiving the boots and wearing them around 10 times in 14 days, the waterproofing was compromised, the sole detached from the leather on both boots. After contacting Pajar for warranty (mind you, they claim a 90 days warranty), they shifted the blame on me, my style of walking this n that).
DO NOT BUY THESE PRODUCTS FROM PAJAR, poor labour and poor materials are used, but at a premium price.
These boots became useless due to waterproofing being compromised in less than 2 weeks.
Hi. I spent $276 dollars on a pair of boots, and only a few months later both the zipper and material ripped! I have contacted them FOUR times without any support, and their customer support agent, Kayla, I'm sorry to say, is very incompetent. My emails and chat continue to go unanswered, and they don't have a phone number.
Bought these expensive Pajar winter boots. Lasted only one winter the next winter the shoes started leaking! No customer service is available. Pathetic quality. Never buying them again. EVER! Waste of money.
Bought a pair of boots from them and needed to send back for new size. AWFUL experience to say the least. Very rude, unresponsive and lack of care for customer. Literally told me they didn't have time to send me new size of boots because of the season. But had my money for almost 30 days! Never again will I buy their products. Sad because I have purchased many many items in past. DISGRACEFUL!
I was in contact with customer service, trying to find out some information about what their warranty covers on a specific style, Valerie. What/how long the warranty process is, Do they repair or replace the boots, what they define "misuse" as etc. The rep (Kayla) would simply link their warranty page repeatedly, which is very vague and does not say what exactly is covered vs not covered. So if getting answers about simple questions is like pulling teeth, I can only imagine the trouble you'd go thru after they had your money. So I would avoid this company at all costs, which is very sad considering they are a Canadian company.
Along with all of the other reviews I've seen here, the reason for my review is exactly the same as the others - PAJAR SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED FROM CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR... Taking people's hard-earned money is not a joke, especially not during these tough times. I plan to do everything in my power to bring this injustice to light. Pajar debits your account IMMEDIATELY when you make a purchase, but I am approaching ONE MONTH and still waiting for my credit back for the items I returned (which, by the way, total well over $1,000). You can't send something back without an RMA, but it took me almost a week to receive an RMA, you can only return to the address they give you (AT YOUR EXPENSE). Now I am still in the process of them "waiting for confirmation on my return", even though I have UPS confirmation that my returns were delivered almost two weeks ago. For such a high-end merchant, I'd expect white-glove treatment, but I received sewer treatment instead. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY!
Ordered a $500 pair of boots on sale. 10 days go by I hear nothing. Next thing I know i've got an automated email saying they're out of stock and I got a refund.
They didn't have the intelligence to maybe think I would have gone with half a size larger or smaller.
Nonetheless I email them to say I'll take a size 9 if you'll honour the sale price. Ie an exchange
They said NO.
So instead of losing $50 because the boots were no longer on sale they lost $500.
Idiots. These are the types of business that will not survive the next 10 years- those with a mediocre product and crap customer service.
There are better places to buy Canadian made boots that have actual customer serivce
Bought these Pajar Jess boots, wish I had read reviews online about this company.
These are stated to hold up to-40. They are lucky to be warm in -5.
I bantered back and forth with customer service only to be told there was nothing they could do!
I walk my dogs on a daily basis and was looking for a light zipper pull on boot, worst boots I have ever worn.
I replaced them with a pair of Sorel that are toasty warm and on sale $50 cheaper.
Never again will I purchase a Pajar product as a Canadian I am ashamed of this company.
Bought an overpriced pair of boots on line, and didn't realize they are using a completely inaccurate size conversion chart. So a woman's size 6 is really a woman's size 7, which makes a huge difference when you are barely a size 6 in the first place. Even though the overpriced expensive boots have not shipped out yet? And it's been 3 days since you placed the order? They don't let you cancel the order for nothing, even though they don't really size their boots properly in the first place. But who cares? It's not them spending way too much money on winter boots right?
Hello to all of you! Very bad Canadian company! Don't make a mistake about size...because even if they are new...they will charge you the shipping costs. In addition, customer service is pitiful. Please read the return policy carefully... First time in life that I see a company charge for an exchange! In addition, they do not have a price policy in connection with a price decrease! I bought a boot for $500 and the next day...there was a 10% discount! Never wanted to make a price correction! Finally, there is a newsletter that gives 10%. I had spoken to customer service representative Mika on the phone and she did not mention it at the time of purchase! The product is on evaluation! You will find equivalent quality at Sorel, Columbia and others such as northface, Keen, or Salomon. This company for my part is clearly discouraged and you will see other dissatisfied customers in the reviews and there are several! Believe me, he's not talking about the exchange and return policy on the phone! Quickly go see the exchange policy and go back to the bottom of the page! I should have consulted her before doing business with this company! If there were 0 stars, the score given would be!
Products used:
You pay for shipping exchange...plus 9 dollars! Minimum $50 for return! Even if it's an exchange and not worn!
This company is horrible. They don't respond to emails. I've been waiting over two months for a refund. Have sent countless emails and no response. The shoes I purchased was sent back over a month ago and I still don't have the 200.00 dollars back. I don't recommend them and will never purchase anything associated with this company! I would give no stars but that's not an option
I bought a pair of Pajar boots with pull down grippers for ice. After only two seasons of wear, the rubber tabs at the heel have worn off and allow water to enter the boot! There is no way to fix this and the design seems flawed.
I purchased a pair of Pajar Bye Bye boots last winter for almost $400. This is only the second winter that I am using them and the zipper recently broke. Without a zipper replacement they are unusable. I contacted Pajar and they have refused to stand by their product and offer me some type of restitution. It is outrageous that a pair of boots this expensive do not even last two winters. The company is not answering my emails. Stay away from this company and their products.
Answer: Don't do it! I had a situation last weekend where it was about -15, the boots I bought from them promised up to -30+ protection – had I not been near a vehicle, I could've lost some toes. My feet froze very badly and very quickly. This also happened to a friend of mine who bought the same brand. They are absolute garbage. Get Sorel‘s! I had two pairs of them for many years, and I will be going back to them. They not only have excellent traction on ice, they deliver what they promise.
