As a chap in my mid fifties I'm not much of a pub goer as you can imagine. I got into online dating a couple of years back and this compares pretty well against the first site I was a member of (primetimelove.com just in case youre wondering, very good site for starting out, busy and simple). I'm diverging a little now and trying new things, so been adding some new sites to my list and seeing how they all compare. I took early retirement last year so ive got time and a bit of disposable income so it keeps me both entertained and socially active! Kids are long gone and wife passed in '06 so online dating has been a nice crutch to slowly but surely keep me interacting with the world at large. Anyway, it's 7/10 from me.

Our Time has got to be one of the worst sites I have ever experienced. Their service is virtually zilch. My account was hacked; OT closed my account; and their Costa Rican based service center did nothing to help me put my account back together again. I believe it was hacked, but the hacker(s) had to have come through their system. In addition to no help, I was given no additional membership time.

When I allowed my membership to expire, my number of views increased exponentially to five times what I normally received each day. Many of these "views from other members" had no pictures and incomplete profiles. OT must be worth something but not what it is asking for in membership fees.

Horrible site. Tried using it for about a month with only fake profiles and a few genuine ones but noone pays so noone can read/reply.

After a month I could no longer access my account so I called Ourtime and they tell me something about contacting Apple to "reactivate" my account. Which didn't make sense to me but I did. So I get ahold of an "offshore" Apple rep and all they want me to do is ensure my subscription is set at "renew or cancel" and to call Ourtime back... so back to Ourtime... you guessed it... they told me it is Apple's issue. So here I sit with a paid subscription and no way to use it or even delete my info.
Stay away.

I must preface this by saying that I met 2 nice people on this site. But overall, this is a very poor dating site. The number of available people is very limited, & you can top out at 6 or 8. Half of the listed people are fakes, from out of state or previous clients. I noticed an old friend who was listed 5-6 years ago; she was listed as current. Fake people constantly bombard you, and I have been scammed many times. I would advise to stay far away from this site, and use the two main entities.
One last thing: the listings of people are often poor quality.

I love this site! I have been on many sites and have met a few good guys but none wanting a real relationship I'm 42 and wanted something real. I moved to fl last yr decided to give this site a chance best decision ever! After only a one day on there I started talking a guy who was older so I gave I a chance went out an we have been together ever so nice our first date! He is an amazing man and I recommend anyone who wants a real lasting relationship go on this siteTHANK YOU OURTIME!

Ourtime uses models to lure men in. I had an subscription with ourtime that I hardly ever use because there are no one of interest, one day I had 4 alerts on my email that someone is interested in me, so I clicked on the message and it took me into there site and showed me this beautiful lady, I was like wow she is beautiful so I responded and with that she was gone from the site and my subscription was renewed. It's a scam that Match. Com use as well.
Men and women stay away from these sites they are using models and spyware to steal our hard earned money and don't care about us, that was the last $29.95 at that time and they left my account in the negative. They don't care so please don't use their sites. If you take sometime and read these reviews you will see similar things have happened to others all over, let our money be the last ones that they steal. Don't use ourtime!

I set up a free account and was enticed to join by a large number of fake messages. "Photo likes", flirts or other non-communications are funneled into the INBOX to appear as messages. They are NOT. There was also a solicitation for sex. Really a distasteful site.
I was a member less than an hour before canceling my account. OurTime customer service is directly inline with the rest of their practices. My request for a refund was rejected.

I have tried other dating sites and went on a few dates that were ok. When I signed up on OurTime I ended meeting the most wonderful, caring and loving man! We have been together almost 2 years now! We travel together we have fun together and I feel I have met my soulmate! We both have older children and they are also happy for us! I have never been treated better and he feels the same! Our 6 word love story is "Met online and fell in love" Thank you OurTime for helping us find true love

I've been looking for a good site that I can pay for (that way I know the people are serious about finding a real relationship) and get the most out of. Ourtime is definitely a good bet, and another one id recommend is PrimeTimeLove.com. These sites give great value for money and have a lot of people inside them that want real companionship towards retirement or beyond. We're not naïve at this age, we all have experience and it's about finding somewhere we can share those experiences with people who are looking for something true and meaningful. That's my opinion anyway. And ourtime is just about right, not a bad site at all.

I think I learned a lesson going on line dating. This site doesn't care about you. All the matches are not related to your profile. It's a waist of money and time. Thank God I only signed for a month.

Personally, I did not have a positive experience on this site. This was mainly due to heavy advertising on my personal home page of OurTime. I have been on several dating websites that are fantastic, and no advertising! I can understand that free dating sites use advertising, but when you are paying (OurTime is not free), then having to put up with advertising is just tacky. Because of this I only visited the OurTime website a few times and ended up wasting a bunch of money. I do not recommend.

As a professional blogger I know my way around the internet, unlike some in their fifties. However, us silver surfers are the fastest growing users of the internet and the fastest growing buyers of tablet devices, so make no mistake about it, were not far not far behind the youngsters when it comes to anything on the web. Online dating is a great example and were a big draw for the dating companies because a) we have money b) we have time and c) half of us are divorced or have suffered the loss of a partner. Because of this, id advise anyone reading this to settle for nothing but the best, as youre a special customer and with all the options out there, finding romance or companionship online is definitely a buyers market. OurTime is an excellent site (you may not know this but the market leading dating company, match.com, are the people behind this site. Its one of the best options (perhaps only bettered by primetimelove.com but i shall be doing a separate review on that later) due to how easy it is to use and the number of people you can find on the site. It works well on my iPad (love my ipad!) and once youve spent an hour with the site you really can be comfortable. I find that the gentlemen who contact me are just that - gentlemen, which is a nice bonus! Ive met with three or four now, having been using the site since i signed up on valentines day, and enjoyed a second date with a nice chap at a ten pin bowling alley, something i hadn't done since i was a teenager! Id certainly recommend the site to anyone that is looking for something simple, tried and tested. Its inexpensive and if you do decide its not for you, you can cancel without too much bother (unlike other sites). If you give it a try, I wish you all the best. Thanks for reading!

So sorry I signed up with this site. And this is only after 5 days. Thank goodness I only paid for one month.

Each time I uploaded a photo and it got approved and placed in my profile, it would DISAPPEAR the very next day. I did this TWICE in 4 days.

And... As a joke I guess, they alerted me that I had messages. When I clicked to read them, there were NONE to be read?

I wouldn't give this site another chance if it were totally free.

I've certainly met a number of women on the sight in a relatively short period of time... With that said, there are numerous factors that make this site frustrating as heck! There is a steady stream of scammers that deluge your profile [10-20 a day], I make sure I mark them as 'scammers' and block them; it's an easy enough task... The website is very clunky and doesn't refresh itself... The ap has a few nice features, but by today's standard is poorly developed...
I too had issues with their billing, they billed me $107 / 3 months when all i wanted was one monthh... credit card complany hooked me up with OT's customer service and they were quick to correct it [there is an extra $3.95 fee when you sign up].
I don't think I'll go past my one month, but beware, the pay system auto-update and you'll need to contact them to cancel payment!
