An update at now 9 weeks since purchase: Still not delivered, no info that order shipped, no reply to my questions and more nonsense excuses such as shipment, (for which they ignored requests for information), has rebounded due to a damaged address label. I'm very grateful to PayPal... they stepped up to make me whole. An awful experience. Optically Support customer service is ineffective.
It is now seven weeks since ordering... here's my experience:
I do not have my glasses.
Multiple delays with vague, unconvincing explanations.
Usually takes about a week to reply to e-mails.
Replies do not address the issue but they do play for time.
A lack of tracking information or shipping confirmation.
I've made repeated requests for delivery, tracking details, or a refund... I have none of them.
A failure to follow through on a promise to cancel the order and issue a refund should there be further delays.

Ordered glasses 6 weeks went by contact them again, third time and said they were being shipped that week, another 2 weeks no glasses sent yet, asked to cancel order. No reply after trying to contact them for three days, multiple cals and emails they said they would cancel and refund and then the next day they said they wuld not and even without sending any glasses would not refund the purchase!

Caution, dont go here

My glasses came after 4 weeks wait, with a flaw in one of the lenses. I emailed support and called their number, no answer. I have order from them before but nov 2023 looks like they may be folding up and dont talk to customers anymore.

Glasses

I purchased prescription glasses, but when they arrived the prescription was incorrect. After many emails I was offered a refund or my glasses remade. I opted for a refund so I returned the glasses. At this stage I haven't received a refund I'm hopeful I will. The original purchase was the 2nd of June 2023 so it has been a very drawn-out unpleasant experience. Buyer beware!

Reglazed and happy

I had an old pair of wire framed glasses that is i had reglazed by optically. Have to say that I'm happy with the results in every way. The installation was good, the prescription seems correct. Would not hesitate to use their services again.

I ordered progressive glasses online through Optically.ca and had to unfortunately return them due to being a wrong prescription verified by my optometrist.
I luckily received my refund of $354.92 after 2 weeks upon their receival of my glasses, however I was told I could not collect my refund of $25.02 for me having to ship the glasses back on my own dollar.
Now, normally I wouldn't have a problem with this, however I specifically asked "how" I return the glasses prior to returning them? "Mike," told me via email, to provide tracking number when sent back to the lab.
One would take this as being reimburse for shipping cost as per the language stated in the email.
When I later inquired about the cost, I was told I would only be receiving dollar amount for purchase of the glasses and not refunded. "Mike" said if I had "asked" for a pre-paid shipping label one would have been provided by optically.ca.
Their business practice, in this regard, was misleading and shady as I have the emails to prove it.
A discussion was had and I was told I would not be receiving $25.02 for the return shipping of a product they incorrectly sent me.
Basically, buyer beware and read the reviews of other before using optically.ca.
I highly doubt anything to come of this.
Avoid the hassle all together as this company uses PayPal as a way of insulation to make it harder to retrieve your money.
I will ever purchase from this company or any of its sister companies again and advise you to do the same!
Good luck and do your homework before you decide to go this route.

The prescription was wrong twice the transitions are not dark at all. The only nice thing was Joy the customer service person was very nice and quick to respond.

* Took more than 1.5 months to deliver my order.
* Had to contact their customer service multiple times for various issues and follow up
* Had to pay Fedex import duty and then claim it. They won't handle all such things on their own
* Don't think I got a good rate either
* Lack of good return policy

There was no communication from this "company" whatsoever throughout the several weeks while I awaited my glasses. So, despite what their website would have you believe, you will not receive regular order updates. When I finally emailed them and inquired as to whether I would even be receiving my order, I received canned replies (virtually identical responses to those recorded in these reviews and elsewhere), and the promise of a "tracking number" that of course never came. When the glasses finally arrived many, many weeks later, they arrived in a plain FedEx bubble mailer with an inner package that was labelled as shipped from HONG KONG, and not from within CANADA, as the website would also have you believe. Unsurprisingly, the glasses are very disappointing; they sent the wrong style, and they are very, very cheap quality. So much so, that I will not be wearing these in public. You are seriously better off buying drugstore readers (or even Dollar Store glasses - these are that bad). Never again!

Optically glasses have proven to be great value, allowing me to carry a spare set in my golf bag and in my car. Ordering was simple, delivery prompt, and value incredible at about one third of other optical providers.

Worst pair of glasses that I've ever worn. I tried to return them, but I was told no, and was instructed to send them back to be 're-aligned'. I get that some lenses need to be set for the pupil, but goodness, the entire lens is blurry in all directions (multifocal lens) It actually seems like the lens Rx is incorrect. The clerk wouldn't listen, and only gave me the option to return to the Toronto office for repair.

I ordered Jan. 20,2022, now they say March 9th before they arrive - from China! I can't purchase a pair locally without a refund and they won't provide one. I am suppose to wait until they arrive, ship back, then wait - I can't see and need glasses - not able to wait months for a refund, if they deem I'm worthy of one. I asked for refund before they were shipped, only getting a tracking # today (Mar. 3). Absolutely unacceptable business practices.

Blatant lies. Ordered a pair of glasses the first week of December (2021). After 3 weeks, with no update regarding status or shipping, I sent an email. Response said a quality issue was identified and the glasses had to be returned to factory for repair. I requested the order be cancelled at that point. I received no confirmation to my request after several emails, so called Support and explained my issue. I then received another email stating that if I'd be patient, I'd receive a wonderful pair of glasses. Again, I said no, I'd already ordered with another company, and requested cancellation. Again I received no acknowledging email. Phoned Support again and spoke with the same person. I explained the situation and requested my cancellation be confirmed over the phone. After pulling up my order, my cancellation was confirmed.
A week later, I received an email saying the glasses were complete, and shipping information was pending. The email apologized, stating they unfortunately had not received my request for cancellation, because my emails were apparently blocked by their security filter. Lies. Two chats with Support would attest to that.
Long story short, I opened a dispute with PayPal. Once I did this, I received an email from Optically, apologizing, stating they'd be happy to process a return--- once I mailed back the glasses with tracking and insurance -- on my dime. Glasses I'd not yet received.
From what I gather, although their website purports optically.ca they are local to Canada and have fast shipping, their PayPal address defaults to Australia. My guess is this is where the glasses originate, and this is where they'd want you to return the items.
Stay away.

This is a warning... stay away. Why Today is July 10/2021, original order placed April 19th/2021 and am still waiting for prescription sunglasses to arrive. I had ordered two pair, regular and sunglasses. After gunna drum of faults. First - contacted said couldn't read prescription entered on site,(was site Problem, told) - send paper copy to correct this.--- After weeks of waiting and complaining I received both glasses 6 weeks later only to find sunglasses sent without prescription ( just regular), complained sent back and after more phone calls to try and correct this i then receive sunglasses with bi-focals not progressive as ordered and bi-focal not centered correctly, sent back again and now still waiting. Also noted bad review with BBB

I have placed items for sale on UsedVictoria.com - I am -constantly- receiving scam emails from people giving the mailing address for Optically.ca in Ontario. What they do is they act interested, then say "Oh i need you to ship the item to someone in Ontario!" and each and every single time, they give their mailing address. What they do is they send you a faked Interact e-transfer, expecting you to ship before they release funds. Don't do it. All through gmail accounts (which have been reported) and all through faked Scotiabank e-transfers. It's all from an Ambler Drive address. Just stay clear. If you need glasses, go to a reputable site such as Clearly.ca or anywhere else BUT these folks. If they attempted to scam me, chances are they are scamming others as well. Just don't do it. Also heads up, banks do not require proof of shipping before sending money through e-transfer. Just, stay clear. If they can attempt to scam me, they will scam you.

Dollar store product

Took over a month to receive my prescription sunglasses. Very disappointed. One lens is glued so crookedly into the frames that you can see the top of the lens outside the frame. Extremely cheap looking & feeling. Disgusted that they cost $200 & look like I got them at dollerama.
