I get decent prices and good customer support. Most items will deliver free to my home, saving the hassle of a trip to the store.
I have been wandering whether to share this story or not but after four days I still have this incident in the back of my mind.
On Saturday I went to OfficeMax in Aurora Village, Shoreline WA to get an eight copy job done for DVD cases. The person at the printing station told me he was about to clock out (about 4 pm) but I could go any time after noon on Sunday to pick it up.
On Sunday I went at 5:35 pm and the clerk looked at me blank as if he had not understood me. After a few seconds he told me the job was not done nor would it be any time soon as they were working with a two week delay. When I explained what had been promised to me the day before, he said I was lying. I then asked him if he could sell me the paper I needed (as per a sample I left there from a previous print job I got done there). He yelled at me and told me to go look for it in the back. I asked him what type of paper it was and he raised his voice again saying he didn't know because they had never had that paper in the store.
I was so rattled I went to the car and got in but decided to go back in and ask for the manager. Another clerk at the check out desks said there was no manager there but I could talk to him. He backed up the first clerk stating they were delayed and did not sell that paper there.
I then came back home and put in a claim via email to their headquarters in Florida. I received a reply on Monday telling me they had forwarded my email to the Aurora Village store and they would be contacting me 24-48 hours after. Today, 72 hours later I have still not heard back and therefore understand my business is not important to them.
I hope whoever reads this and does business with these people has a better experience than I did and never experiences anything like I did this past weekend.
The better news is that I have found a new business for printing (curiously, owned by OfficeMax printing ex-employees) who said they had other clients that had also found them after disappointing experiences with OfficeMax! I would be more than happy to share their info if anyone is interested.
My Review of store is very poor - will not be back there
I prefer Staples because they confirm the delivery TO the CUSTOMER. Office Depot drivers just leave everything by the door, don't ring the bell, and take off.
I prefer staples since they tend to care more stock and happen to have better promotions weekly. Back to school events are great :)
They need a new manager in the store for sure. Simply horrible treatment of customers. I will never step foot in this store again.
I placed an order for Brother Printer from Office Depot online. They promised me to deliver on July 8 between 10 to 11 am in the morning. I did wait till 5 pm on July 8, but printer did not delivered. I called 3 times in between to their customer care department and they were telling me different stories and were trying to eat time. They were misguided me. They took buy phone number for call back but they never called me and were trying to defense the reality. In my last phone call on July 8 at 5pm the last told me that she do know why my printer is not delivered and she told me someone will call me immediately and will give me a reason why it is not delivered. No one called me till 10:30am on July 9 and when I called that lady was saying some different story. Then I was told that supervisor will call me and name of supervisor is Alexa but a usual no one called me. When I called at 3pm person tells me that there is no one working here called Alexa. But no one has answer of my printer which I already paid. Now they have put me on hold for 20 mins and they forwarded my phone call to voice message. They took money and now no one is answering for delivery. I would suggest not to buy from offie ever. Now I am trying to call and no one is answering the call. Do not buy anything from Office Depot.
For all of my office needs I come here. I usually get stocked up once a month, that always have a great selection.
Whenever i need something to use for my office work, even for the school project of my kids. No other place like OfficeDepot!
I fine that there sales people are very helpful answer any question that you may have about a items in a time mender
The store of "I need it now". Usually not the cheapest, but if i need office supplies now and I can't wait for a shipment, here they are.
Went to copy some paper work had no clue what I was doing. So gentleman who was working helped me out. Was finished in no time. Thank you
I needed to furnish an office in one of my suites asap. I did not want to wait for 2 days through Amazon. I spent a lot of time searching local office supply stores online and found that Office Depot had the items I wanted. I checked the "in store availability" option online and found that the nearest store with all of the items that I needed was 30 miles away. I had to wait for nearly two days to have the time, moving truck, and staff to drive 30 miles and retrieve the items. It took us most of the morning to meet, get the truck, and drive 30 miles north. When we got to the store, literally, every item was out of stock and only had the floor item available, which we were told we could not purchase.
Let me break this down. 1) The website specifically stated the items were in the store which is inaccurate. 2) The floor models were out in the store, but there was no product which is misleading. 3) We were not able to purchase any floor models which is frustrating since it made the entire Office Depot production futile.
Additionally, the store clerk and manager were not helpful in any way. They looked irritated that we were in there (the store was completely empty).
Finally, the best part of this story is this: We called customer service to voice our complaint and the customer service representative offered to ship us the items for free and we would receive them in 7 to 10 business days! Seriously funny! Amazon does the same thing for free in TWO days! So, we spent two thousand dollars at Amazon and wrote an awful review on Google.
Office Depot will close down like a lot of other retailers because they are not keeping up with an online presence and they have deplorable customer service. Not to worry for those of you in customer service, though! I've heard Amazon treats their employees well
I purchase items from the Nevada area. They always have a sell or reasonable items for 2 for 1 sale, the 10% off works well too.
Layout is great and I like the product variety but I cant always rely on them to be the least expensive.
It's not like I need to go there often, but once you absolutely need some particular tool, you can be sure to find it there. Prices are good too.
I have a home office, whenever I need something I journey on over to Office Depot. It has so much to choose form and the customer service is amazing.
Auto renew cannot be canceled at store.

I love coming to office depot. It feels like I am in a office managers dream when I come through and pick up new stuff.
I bought products that I never received. I paid by card, asked for refund almost every day, and the request was declined for no reason.
I get printing done@ The Rockroad location! Svragni does an amazing job! She pays close attention to the details!
