The company has garnered mixed feedback regarding its reputation and customer service. Positive sentiments highlight the professionalism and attentiveness of certain staff members, as well as the overall cleanliness and efficiency of some locations. However, significant concerns arise from reports of long wait times, perceived racial bias, and unprofessional behavior among employees. Customers express frustration over management issues, understaffing, and unfulfilled promises related to referral bonuses and donation compensation. Overall, while some donors appreciate their experiences, a notable portion feels dissatisfied, indicating a need for improved staff training and operational efficiency.

Today I waited 4 hours. Not really a bad thing but it is when there's 6-7 chairs open. With more then 15 people waiting.
I can hardly find any positive aspects to commend about this establishment. The waiting times here surpass even the duration it takes to donate plasma (which takes around 1-1/2 hours) - and that's under the assumption that your application gets accepted promptly. Initially, I was asked to procure a medical release due to my age. I promptly acquired the required document, duly signed and approved by my primary care physician. However, the administrative personnel at this facility rejected it, requesting that the doctor make a couple of additional modifications in the form of two letters. I complied with this request as well. Upon submission of the revised document, I received a call from their in-house medical professional after four days, finally granting me approval to donate. Yet, upon returning for another attempt, I was confronted with even more hurdles and excuses that prevented me from donating. They requested further alterations to the medical release, which my doctor promptly provided. Now, they're insisting I restart the entire process again! If they couldn't manage to handle things correctly the first time, what reason do I have to place my trust in them again?
I endured six visits to their facility, totaling a staggering eight hours of waiting, and still, I was never given the opportunity to contribute a single drop of plasma. If you're interested in engaging with a severely flawed system run by inept individuals in management, then, by all means, consider Octapharma. As for me, I wholeheartedly discourage you from squandering your precious time. After all, if they can't even manage paperwork accurately, how can they assure your safety from potential risks like HIV or other illnesses? I strongly recommend exploring other options.
I didn't know if you complained about a staff being at work being unprofessional to consumer AKA customer and you let corporate know about it that corporate will 86 you. The only incident that happened is when a donor who came after me got to sit on the bed before me and this has happened several times so I decided to ask for a supervisor. Gabby upon walking up to me stated what was my problem I told her she stated do you want to donate or not and I said oh wow can I have your supervisor she said I'll give you his card. That was the only incident that happened and because of that I called corporate three times so now because of that I got kicked out.
Why doesn't this center get it together?I understand they're kinda new but doing a better job should be easy to do. This center did a upgrade so I can't do my questions on my app I went in and the man there told me they had done some upgrade and in my age group was having issues so supposedly he fix it but I had to do my questions there which is so frustrating. I was suppose to now be able to do them on my phone but NO STILL CAN'T. I called to get help so I could visit this center today git a guy who clearly doesn't want to help all he can say instead of HELPING IS "MAYBE THERE'S A SOFT HOLD ON YOUR ACCOUNT " tried to explain no it was at their end but repeated the same thing. Why is this place so unorganized and not giving customer service? I'd be fired if I treated people that way. No one there seems to care. Last visit the only girl checking us in wore the SAME GLOVES WITH MORE THAN 4 DONATORS. That is so nasty and unsafe do they not have gloves do they not care if they are just passing on germs or who knows what to donators? This place is not performing good I'm sure I will be blackmail but really it's donators like me that gives them their paycheck
Jasmine C. Did a great job on my iron stick, first time I did not feel the stick. Wonderful customer service!
I donated the other day for the first time ever an everyone that helped me was very nice an friendly. They make it very comfortable for you and are very helpful when it comes to any questions that you have. Glad I choose this facility to start donating at
I enjoy coming here particularly this location the staff are awesome! The place is clean the atmosphere are great!
I was and still am pleasantly surprised by how lovely everyone is there. Every person was rather inviting, helpful and patient.
However whomever runs the place is clearly bigoted and not someone you want to support. I am amab mtf, who has been on hrt for 5 years. I have big boobs! And the while I was reading their informationals I was asked 6 times (I counted) if I had sex "with another man"
They actually will ask you straight up, no regard for political correctness or adjusting to my preferred gender. And to top it off there is no way for them to keep track of your preferred name. So if you haven't had a legal name change yet prepare to be dead named by every doctor until you tell them.
"How silly and frivolous to be expecting accommodations when clearly everyone who works there didn't mind your trans status"
I want to answer this possible question really quick because it's important. We are facing unprecedented violence towards the lgbt community, and it's a common speaking ground in the general public. This leaves us with two possibilities to *why* this medical facility in 2023 is so exclusive to trans and gays.
The owner is blinded by weird unfounded claims that gay people have aids by default and just doesn't see the point in adding a preferred name system
Or.
The owner is anti lgbt.
Octapharma plasma is very friendly and professional. I have PTSD from an assault and they are extremely patient and understanding as well as respectful of my needs especially when prescreening. I have white noise syndrome and have to wear ear plugs when screening. They work with me as best as they can toske both the prescreening and donating process as comfortable and easygoing as possible. I appreciate their empathy and compassion.
They are very slow they need more employees and better service to keep happy
How to make things better
The best place, kind staff and friendly exchange between them. They are gentle and it is quick and painless
History. Once upon a time I was told at a clinic that because of a bandaid minor rash I must be allergic to latex or adhesive they were not sure and no testing was done. So I have honestly told them this from the beginning, it was added to their "system" and I have donated many times with this being being noted. I have even been "accidentally" wrapped with latex a few times before, it was not a big deal I just changed the wrap when I got home. Could have killed someone with a serious issue. My "Question" and yes it is a Question is this... If all of this information was in their system and I was being allowed to donate while these allergies were known and listed then why was there a change today out of nowhere? Cameron by the way this is a Question. Trying to tell customers when they ask a question that it is not a question is condescending, rude and indicates a disgusting distain for customers. Here is a hint for you the customers that you think so little of and have so much distain for are the reason the company can afford to keep you employed. The lady that tried to explain this to me and did not succeed just fell back to it's corporate policy.
New donor i waited 45 to read a book waited 15 mins to watch a video do the video and im still waiting 35 mins later its barley any people in here. The staff kinda rude its no reason i been here 2 hours and still havent had a physical or been on the kiosk. Its only one new person in front of me but as i sit in the room i can hear staff laughing having fun while im literally sitting here doing nothing. Absolutely no excuse why im still sitting in the same room. After my second donation I'll probably never come again if this how it is. I was told new donors come first no not at all. 2 hour process for a 13 min video and 5 mins of reading horrible
I am truly sorry for being so rude & insensitive. Im still learning how to not respond when I'm angry but I wish you all the best! I love how you take care & do your job much love & respect brother in Christ
The staff are really great. The atmosphere is cozy. Can't really complain. The staff make you fel at home.
