Overall very good! I rarely give five stars but that doesn't mean I'm not happy with the purchase. Pants fit well and are very comfortable. I've only worn them around the house so far, so I don't know how well they perform in the bush. The belt works well and is also comfortable. It's a little noisy but a good design and seemingly well built. Will know more with time. I haven't used the socks yet but look forward to trying them on my next excursion. Only downside, and take this however you want, I'd like to see more products made in Canada, or elsewhere, not China.
Great winter pants. Quick shipping and great service.
Took a bit of time but it arrived after a month. Glad they came
The shipping experience was Straightforward and easy. Tracked the package all the way to my door. The only thing better was actually wearing the gear.
Love to wear these pants on a hike. Website is easy to use.
I just received them, can't wait to wear them when it's really cold.
Ended up ordering wrong size, too big. Should'a, could'a didn't call to check I read sizing chart correctly...
OK, still not completely sure about sizing. We'll see when they get here!
The product is fantastic, placing an order is super easy, the shipping delay was not good at all. We were advised that they were experiencing shipping issues...but only after we had been waiting for 3 weeks.
Nice looking jacket and pants. Jacket and pants fit perfectly and she just loves it!
With multiple layers, I have a lot of flexibility with these gloves. The reason I bought them was to keep my finger tips warm when it's extremely cold outside. They passed the test.
Took about a month to receive order. Product seems good.
I ordered a pair of pants for myself and one for my spouse. Mine fit well but my spouse's didn't fit because I ordered the wrong size. I contacted the company to exchange the pants for a different size and on their website it stated that any returns or exchanges had to be sent via USPS back to Canada. The cost to send them to Canada for exchange was $57 on a $90 pair of pants. Given the price I didn't mail them back and sent an email to their website with the large amount of money that was cost prohibitive. I never received a response from the company even though I still was getting multiple emails from the sales department. I ended up checking around the web and found the same pants for less than $50. I feel like I was scammed.
Extremely satisfied with my waterproof jeans. They are comfortable and warm, and look good. I'd buy again.
Was notified item was delivered, but it didn't actually arrive til about a week later.
(GIFTCARD258G2W8WTV) typed in the provided gift card given to me on the 3/1/23 but would not accept it.
Great pants bought second pair. Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
If you have a problem with your order GOOD LUCK getting anywhere with this Canadian company. If you live in USA, I would just stay away (there are better options out there). I bought a couple pairs of pants, then upon final checkout I didn't realize they had slipped in some phony tax rate that doesn't even exist! (this tax didn't even show on my checkout screen, hmmmm) In Minnesota we Do Not pay any State sales tax on clothing items but they charged me for it. So I tried to contact them about this...well after 4 emails, 2 phone calls which I left messages and also sent one text to them I only received a reply ONE time which was to the 3rd email I had sent over a period of weeks. I that reply they said "we unexpectedly lost your email" (huh really Ms.K?) She then stated that I would have to contact Customs Authority in my country to get reimbursed for the tax! Hey Ms.K, Customs has nothing to do with the Northbound Gear website charging people State taxes that don't exist and she knows that but basically was just telling me to get lost. That's why they have not returned any of my phone, text or emails since receiving her reply for which I have sent several over the last 2 weeks! (and I was never rude in any manner thru my emails or messages either as that will never get you anywhere, Note to self: guess sometimes being decent doesn't either)
As for the pants themselves, they were purchased in two different sizes for two different average height/weight people. One pair is 3 inches too long, other is a little tight in the calves. Guess We'll deal with poor fit as there basically is no customer service with Northbound Gear. But they sure do enjoy filling up your inbox with emails even though I opted out! Shipping was definitely slow but I kind of expected that and tracking info was very poor until package was actually in the hands of the USPS.
My husband and I both have the waterproof pants and love them. My only complaint is it takes a looong time for them to fill the order and get it shipped.
It took longer than expected as it was a Christmas gift which didnt arrive until January! However my husband was very happy with the Jeans.
Answer: So far the evidence is that it is a scam. Ask me in a year and maybe it will have arrived in time for next hiking trip.
Answer: China... apparently. Won't know for sure as not yet arrived.
Answer: Hi Elizabeth, I'm sorry for the delay. Upon checking, it shows that your order was shipped last October 14, however, there seems to be a delay with the delivery on the courier's end. They provided an update on the tracking information and I attached a link for your reference. https://www.canadapost-postescanada.ca/track-reperage/en#/details/1023038360005180 As much as I love to expedite the delivery, this situation is out of our control. No worries, I will reach out to the courier to see to it that the item will be delivered soon. Rest assured that your order will be delivered anytime soon.
