I'm the owner and Designated Broker of Westlake Mortgage in Seattle. When my name and or company name is typed into any search engine except Google, ninelocal is the very first, front and center result for my business. Photo below. The only site where anyone can review my company or me personally is Google business page. That page has 41 total reviews all of which are 5 stars, earned over a 4 year period. The reviews are all very complimentary and go into great details. A screenshot of my company's and my Google business page. That's an incredible difference, especially in the context that each site is drawing from precisely the same reviews. One photo correctly portrays the reputation and trustworthyness of the business while the other photo negligently and egregiously defames the business by choosing to portraying a business as having a very poor reputation in the community and being untrustworthy. The worst part is they use this tactic to essentially extort you into paying the monthly subscription fee in order for them to "correct" any false reviews. They need to correct the way in which they collect and use data because a single one person can vote on each review as MANY times as they want to either improve or worsen your "overall" rating, which is proprietary to ninelocal. I have a real life stalker with a restraining order and he's so desperate to try and 'cancel' my business/me. An arbitrator will likely determine what the monetary value of is of ninelocals negligence allowing it and requiring a paid subscription to even inquire.

I discovered a profile of my business on nicelocal. There were inaccuracies and the reviews lifted from other sources had an erroneous rating. I attempted to claim my profile to correct or delete it. But a code by phone was required which nicelocal claimed they left for me. But I do NOT use a phone number for my business and have no idea who they called. Certainly not me! I brought this to their attention and they responded again that I needed the code they phoned me. Totally unprofessional: disregard for accuracy and despicable customer service.

This company did not allow my reviews on their site stating they "don't allow abusive content" while the company I was reviewing (TMHA-Bishop Street Studios) is a highly psychologically and mentally abusive non-profit organization to certain tenants. I stated what was true and my experience, and they said it was abusive and wouldn't publish it; thereby violating my First Amendment Right to freedom of speech. You won't get a lot of honest reviews on their shoddy site because they pick and choose. Don't bother believing anything on their site!

They are a scammer. They are putting their phone number under my TOWING picture, so they can steal business from me from us.

Great platform for businesses to be known for and to be find out for what they do and how marvelously they do!

I was charged $199 for ink even though I canceled my subscription. But contact nicelocal no response. Unprofessional. Looks like they're doing it on purpose

Since there aren't that many reviews of nicelocal online yet, I had my doubts about choosing this recommendation service. But I don't regret my decision to work with Nl. I've achieved the goals I set, including increasing targeted traffic to my card, making my business more recognizable, and improving my position in the search results.

Nicelocal is great option for promoting a small business. I barely even notice the expense, and I think my investment is completely worth it anyway. Nicelocal reviews and creating and promoting your card are important ways to maintain a positive reputation for you business.

My friends told me they'd found my company's card on Nicelocal. At first I was furious because I hadn't given them permission to make it. I emailed tech support, and Nicelocal responded by telling me it was completely legal. My lawyer later confirmed that they were right, but I should also mention that Nicelocal's employees were willing to delete my business's card if I asked them to. However, I decided to try working with Nicelocal. At first they suggested I try the service out with the Free Ad plan. Even with its restricted functionality, I noticed a significant increase in targeted traffic to my page, so I decided to switch to the Fast Start plan. I'm considering switching to the Gold plan and asking Nicelocal's experts to handle my SEO promotion too.

Every since my company's page appeared on Nicelocal, we've become much more recognizable than before. We make sure the information on our card is accurate, regularly updating our price list and adding photos. We try to respond to Nicelocal reviews right away. When they come back to our salon, our clients thank us for responding because it makes them feel like we care about them.

We chose the Premium plan because it lets us add a wide variety of content. Our team filled our Nicelocal page with lots of information, including photographs and prices. We also track our competitors' stats and respond to reviews. This gives us a good idea of the quality of our service and provides us with effective tools we can use to analyze our competitors. When I finally saw all these negative Nicelocal reviews, I decided to take advantage of what the service has to offer and bought a Premium plan. I was able to dispute a few of the reviews that were unjustified, but, unfortunately, the rest are still there. However, our rating has increased since then because we've identified the problems we had and corrected them.
