Cut the Netzero Cord

Netzero was OK for that useless dial-up internet access.
Then 4G wireless happened,... & I cut the cord.

Easy to install and get going. Sometimes... however ending your account or closing out business is not so smooth. I called customer service several times and was assured the account was closed only to see it MAGICALLY reappear on my bank statement two months later. This happened several times. Always the same reassurance that the account was closed and there'd be no further charges. Only for it to appear over and over. Finally had to change accounts and close that one to deny them access to anymore of my money.

I have had Netzero for several years and they provide the worst Internet Service of anyone. They have no customer service to solve issues nor do they care. Their Internet speed is so lousy that your pings to every web site timeout consistently. Their ping times are in the thousands. Just terrible. DO NOT PURCHASE.

I would like to rate Netzero minus 5. About 10 years ago, Netzero was okay. Then over time the focus seemed to switch from making customers happy with great service to making themselves money by ripping off customers. For a few years, Netzero was a good solution for the area I was in. When better options came along, I cancelled Netzero. They continued to bill me. I called and cancelled again. Still got billed. BTW, you can only cancel over the phone!
SO after several months of phone calls, I don't know if my service is cancelled or not. They do not provide any confirmation. When you call, they accuse you of being a liar. I've reported them to my bank so my credit card will not continue to be charged. Very frustrating and a big waste of time and energy. The last time I called I asked to speak with a supervisor. I was told there is no supervisor. When I insisted, my call was tranferred to nowhere and the line went dead.

I had netzero a long time ago before I got broadband and they were pretty good for dialup and the price was right, never had a problem with them so I never had to call support or anything.

Netzero is very slow and yes the technical assistance is at cost, and I always get a foreign speaking person I can hardy understand. I don't have a problem with foreigner speaking individuals but, couldnt netzero.com get someone that can speak clear English instead of me saying "what did you say" it is very frustrating to deal with. I would not suggest netzero it is an inexpensive cost of $14.95 a month so, I guess the saying right "you get what you pay for". I thinking about going wireless again it's expensive but, it worth it in the end.

Netzero is a zero!

Netzero is a zero! - I've had Netzero for about two years, and I have dail-up with them. Everytime I have a dial-up problem they tell me to call them (which by the way... they'll only let you talk to a live person if you put in your Credit Card number in over the phone). YellOr they tell you to e-mail them... yeah right. When they want you to give them some constructive comments about there service, it's only about the questions they have not what you want to talk about. As far as that $9.95 a year service crap... that automaticlly goes to $12.95 the next year.Yell And the next year it goes to $16.95 and so on. Quess what, they don't even tell you have that crap when you sign up or any of the other carp as well. I'm changing companies ASAP. WHAT A RIP OFF COMPANY! Do yourself and your family a favor... Stay away from them... FOREVER. I'm suprised my computer did'nt shut down again while typing this article.

P.S. Does anyone know of a GOOD internet company that has a good dial-up package that won't dissapoint you all the time. Yell
