I bought a hybrid Nectar mattress for $700 in March of 2023. It is now May of 2025 and my new Saatva mattress is scheduled for delivery today. Why? Because that cheap Nectar mattress gave out about a month ago and my back is killing me. There is a huge sag in the middle and I can't get a good night sleep on it. Granted, it is on an adjustable base but that shouldn't matter according to their website. They say they will replace it if there is a particular number of inches of sag (2 inches I believe) but I am nowhere near that point. I'll be a cripple before I meet that criterion. By the way, I am 6 feet tall and 190 Lbs, nothing out of the ordinary. Quite frankly, the thought of having to fight for God knows how long to try and remedy the situation makes my head hurt. I am far too busy to deal with it. I need my sleep!
In addition to the horrible product, I discovered that II was not able to post a review on the Nectar website. This tells me that those ratings are false. So, bad product and blatant lying. Screw Nectar! You couldn't pay me to sleep on one of their trash heaps again. I'll post a review about the Saatva once it's broken in a bit.

Complete Scam

I reported these guys to my attorney general. I forgot about it and the contacted me back a few months ago, because 1. Nectar never responded to the AG. 2. They are now under official investigation by the state of California and they wanted an updated statement along with my originally submitted evidence. So, if you want to buy from a company that doesn't even respond to Attorney General inquires or investigation, then go ahead. Or, you can just save yourself this horror show and not. I purchased a few things from this company and they all went badly, the mattress didn't last either, but I was too exhausted to take them up on their so called guarantee, which is also fake. You have been warned.

I have nothing but nightmares on my Nectar Sleep mattress. They have been the most illogical and difficult company I've ever online shopped with. The customer service doesn't exist. They delete my stories I share on social media because they don't want to be exposed for the scam company they are. Your best bet? Avoid! If you can't, contact your attorney general, and the FTC. Companies like this shouldn't operate in America, and we need to keep on reporting them, en masse.

Amazing for back/while pregnant.

I'm almost 8 months pregnant, got this bed at 5 months pregnant. Has been wonderful from the first night. Doesn't have any indentations in it after 30 days (like a $2,400 bed from a different store) Really easy to unpack. My husband loves it WAYY more than a firm bed. Absolutely love.

Garbage

This bed is absolutely horrible. Misleading and their customer service is horrible. They tell you that you can't return someone once it's open. Well how do you know if something is damaged without opening it. They said once opened can't return. Very nasty. Have to file fraud claim with credit card company for refund.

My experience with a Nectar Queen Mattress -

It's a fairly decent bed overall. I would say it's comfortable. It helped my back pain and I sleep better at night. My fitbit shows I more than doubled my deep sleep length which is good. Fast delivery and filled out enough to sleep on after a couple of hours. Perfect for smaller to average sized people.

It could use more support.
Not great for stomach sleepers.
Not for heavy people. Get the Bigfig instead.
Not for people with back pain issues.

It smells funny for a couple of days. Not bad enough that it bothered me but if you are sensitive to chemicals it will be best to let it air out for a few days before hand outside if possible.

Overall I do recommend this mattress.

The WORST sleep ever!

This company is unprofessional. The mattress that I purchased was awful and had sunken in so much after less than a year of using it. I had to seek medical treatment for my excoriating back pain! Do not purchase from this company!

Nectar doesn't tell you that after the 365 trial period that they will not give you back the money like they says if you don't like it, they wouldn't respond back to us their website says one thing, but they say another. The mattress sags on the sides, causing you to fall off bed, I'm a 73 year old, my body can't stand falls, it's only been 75 days since I got this mattress

Would give negative stars if possible. You cannot return the mattress if you do not like it. They tell you after you purchase that you have to wait at least 30 days to pass their so-called w"adjustment period". But even after the 30 days I've been trying to return this mattress for days now and keep getting the runaround and I'm being ignored. They have offered to sell me other products to make the mattress "more comfortable" which I have refused and then they told me I need to find a place to donate the mattress to and get it there and get a receipt before I can get a refund. I've called several Charity places and no one wants bedding so now I have to contact an attorney to get a refund from this company. They are the worst. Stay Away.

I would not give even 1 star if there is 0. Nectar Mattress is not being responsible for missing package. No signature required for $800 mattress can you imagine. They asked me to wait after I contacted them and now it's three weeks and still haven't heard from them. They sent an email that it would take 3-5 business days to follow up with FedEx. They don't think I need mattress to sleep moving in to a new apartment if I have to wait that long. I called and asked them to submit a ticket for FedEx to come back and pick up the package since the package was delivered a day before that I had someone to be there to receive. They said no and told me to leave the package like that overnight. The package went missing that night. I was worrying while packing to move and driving from New York to the south. They are very irresponsible and unprofessional company could not resolve the problem and left me alone. Unfortunately the mattress doesn't have the quality of the price. I feel the same with $200.- memory foam i tried on somewhere before. I am very disappointed. You can tell when they give 40% discount at all times.

What a headache

I really wanted to give this company the benefit of the doubt despite reading mixed reviews. I actually should've taken more time to read the reviews but the affordability is what lured me in. Never again. Dealing with this company was nothing but a headache. There's no easy way to get in touch with anyone right away unless you wait for a while to chat with someone or send an email and hope for a timely response. I have been trying to get my mattress delivered all week seeing how it's been sitting at a local white-glove service facility since 5/1. It's been 10 days with no contact from anyone and not knowing when it will be here. I asked for a phone number to their 3rd party white glove facility only to be told that they had no order for me and that I wasn't the first person with that issue. They didn't know why Nectar kept referring their customers to them when they had no orders for these customers. Nothing but the runarounds and no resolution. Then they wanted to tell me that a full refund can only be given when they have their product back! They wanted to screw me out of $1200 for a product I never had possession of. Finally, I had to raise hell and demand a refund after almost a month of placing my order and a wild goose chase. The prices are NOT worth the hassle.

I bought this mattress in King size, and really liked it. It smelled pretty bad for awhile, but then got better in a couple weeks. Was very bad the first few days though. It arrived quickly and I was very happy with it, super comfortable mattress. I would even say I loved it! Several months in though, it began to fall apart a bit. It was like I was sinking in the spot where I slept. I think it is called crowning, but there were definite divets on both sides. I contacted the company, and at first they seemed helpful, but the customer support quickly deteriorated (much like the mattress itself!). At first, they said it sounded like the mattress was defective, and they would replace it. Then they said I needed photos of the tags, which I provided. Then they said they needed photos of the mattress, which I provided. No, more photos of the mattress were needed, from different angles. Okay, I provided them. No, that wasn't enough, then they needed photos of myself lying on the bed in different positions. Really? I'd rather not do that. Well if I won't then they would need photos of a heavy object like a bowling ball on the bed, photographed from multiple angles. Um, I don't own a bowling ball, and it is within the 365 day trial period, why do I have to provide all this? Because I was getting a replacement. Okay, never mind, I don't even want a replacement anymore (I decided I didn't want to ever have to deal with them again, if the same thing happened to the new mattress. I had to take all the covers and mattress pad off and on the bed over half a dozen times already and by this time I was nearing the end of the 365 day trial period - coincidence?). Fine, all I have to do is donate the mattress myself to a donation agency and get a receipt and I would be reimbursed. I live in rural Maine and don't own a large truck. This is a King sized memory foam mattress. How am I supposed to do that? Haven't returned it yet because I haven't figured out how to yet. The 365 trial is over. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MATTRESS, it is a scam!
