We purchased 2 blue Chinese wisteria trees…packaging was superb and trees arrived in great condition. We planted them per instructions and they are doing very well.

I ordered a Tomcot apricot tree from Nature Hills this spring. It arrived in less than two weeks and still looks good a month after planting. I ordered fruit trees from two other sites this year, and the Nature Hills order was the best by far.

First and last time ordering from this company. The Whitewater Weeping Redbud tree they shipped to me is a scraggly, possibly diseased tree that has very few leaves, yet it is tall considering the size of the pot (2 gallon size yet the tree is nearly 4 feet tall.) Most of the leaves are browned on the edges, a few are completely dead, and quite a few of them have insect damage. They have offered to accept a return only if I pay the return shipping costs (I paid $30 shipping when I bought it) and will also levy a 40% restocking fee. The phoen rep I spoke to when I called to check on shipping status was snarky and told me they would send shipping confirmation when they shipped (the order confirmation makes the same claim) yet it arrived two days later and I never got the shipping confirmation. When I called to discuss the condition of the tree, the rep I spoke to (not sure f it was the same one) had a similar attitude. I have purchased previously from several other online nurseries and always received product that matched the descriptions and was in excellent healthy condition. Fastgrowingtrees and thetreecenter are both excellent but Nature Hills was the only vendor with this tree in stock. Never again.

I ordered a catalpa tree from Nature Hills for $100 plus $20 shipping in March and planted it when it arrived. The weather was good and I watered the tree as necessary. The tree never showed a trace of life and was basically never better than a dead stick. I called the company and they said they would send out another for $50 more plus shipping. That doesn't seem like a good deal. Other stores like Santa Fe Gardens and all the local nurseries offer full replacement. I will not buy from Nature again but will shop locally with a reputable company that doesn't just send out dead sticks.

I ordered quite a few shrubs and perennials this spring from various companies. Nature Hills has consistently sent happy healthy plants. They have a great selection as well. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they are a bit overpriced imo. I will order from them again.

Had a question about my order and was able to email someone directly within 24hrs. Also the plants that we ordered were perfect!

Nice tree that looks healthy. Arrived fast and prompt. The tree has been transplanted for a month now and doing good.

Sixty percent of my purchased trees arrived with tons of holes in the leaves and broken leaves. Customer service said it's "normal" and part of their standard quality to ship out items that have endured damage due to pests or rough handling. Every single leaf had at least 5 tiny holes in a tree that only had about 15 leaves total. Many leaves were tattered, too. I can't believe the prices given the trashed appearance of what I received. I suggest going with a competitor for your landscaping needs.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Nature Hills Nursery and I feel it's necessary to share my experience to caution future customers.

I ordered a Weeping Cherry plant on May 3,2023, for $167.14, and received it on May 12,2023. To my dismay, the plant was not as described or expected. It arrived in a pitiful condition - a dry stick with just a few leaves attached. However, I didn't lose hope immediately due to the company's product guarantee assurance on their website. Believing that the plant might be in a dormant state, I planted it and adhered to a careful watering schedule.

Despite my efforts, there was no sign of life in the following weeks. All the leaves fell off and no new ones sprouted. When I conducted a 'scratch test', it was confirmed that the plant was indeed dead. I immediately reached out to Nature Hills Nursery on June 2,2023, hoping for a resolution, given their product guarantee.

To my disappointment, their response was far from satisfactory. They stated that I was outside of their 48-hour complaint window, and hence to get a replacement, I would need to pay half of the full price plus shipping costs. In my opinion, this is not a product guarantee. Moreover, given the nature of dormant plants, it's not possible to ascertain their viability within such a short window.

It's important to note that their "product guarantee" doesn't seem to consider the nature of the product and does not effectively protect the interests of the customer. It's evident that Nature Hills Nursery did not uphold their guarantee as advertised. Their solution seemed more like a marketing ploy than a genuine effort to rectify their mistake.

In light of this experience, I strongly advise future customers to be wary when dealing with Nature Hills Nursery. Their product guarantee may not be as it appears, and you may find yourself in a similar predicament to mine.

Sadly, I cannot recommend Nature Hills Nursery based on this experience, and I hope this review helps others make informed decisions.

I am now seeking further assistance from the Better Business Bureau to resolve this issue.

I ordered two 2 gallon plants for $85 each and NH said they would be shipped in 10-14 days. They haven't shipped and are saying the roots are not ready or strong enough to ship due to cold weather. WHAT? If they had the plants already in a pot then they would be ready to be shipped; there is no way to order a 2 gallon/big plant and have it root in 10 - 14 days! They are misrepresenting what they are selling. Anyone could put a baby plant in a 2 gallon pot and say here is your huge plant but... BUYER BEWARE! P.S. Now they want to charge a 10% restocking fee for something they don't even have in a pot and growing. It should have been growing for over 2 years! SMH

Ordered a few trees and plants and everytime packaging is nicely done. Customer service is better than most online nurseries. However, the last order wasn't as nice as I expected it. The tree looked very stressed and ha many burnt leaves. And the shipping took awhile before it left the nursery.

I received my Fragrant Valley Sweet Box shrub in perfect shape, and it is thriving! Thanks again!

I am unable to find peony plants where I live. I ordered 3, they are all so healthy and are thriving. I then ordered 4 different day lilies. Again they are healthy and thriving. They are expensive but you get what you pay for. They are packaged really well so the plants don't get damaged but shipping can take awhile. I would highly recommend Nature Hill Nursery.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! I placed an order by mistake last evening and attempted to cancel two mins later. NO ANSWER ON THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE. The system created a ticket, and I was not contacted back. I called the this morning right away and was LIED TO about the package already being shipped. Once I questioned this then the gal on the phone said the package would be in a pile of packages to ship with a label and stated, "THIS IS NOT OUR MISTAKE" "THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO"! I said if you are NOT willing to cancel the order what can you do to make this right and she refused to do anything! Then SHE HUNG UP ON ME! WOW, and this is a Business. BUYER BEWARE!

Grass plugs arrived promptly and in good condition. Followed directions to prepare holes for grass and separated the individual plugs and planted all 216 in a couple hours. To date (three weeks later), all of the grass is thriving and I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Very happy with them they are growing very nicely! I would recommend Hills Nursery to anyone who wants to order plants and flowers,also my Jacob's coat rose bush is doing great this is the 3rd season for it

Trees were delivered quickly to Virginia and the packaging kept them safe and healthy! They have been planted and are doing wonderfully!
