I encountered weird error messages about "registrant organization name." I tried changing things until it finally accepted it.
I'm not sure why it did that to me. I think I remember other IT friends saying that when registering for a personal website all contacts have to be the same. I was trying to put two... I'm not sure if that was the cause, but the error message didn't help much. It took me over an hour to work around it.

Got sick of godaddy.com's renewal price, so I looked around for a new solution. Lifehacker rated Domain / DNS services, and listed namecheap.com as one of the top results.
The switch process was very easy and quick, the price was very reasonable, and their interface is vastly easier to navigate than godaddy.com.
The only thing that wasn't as I expected, was I used the FreeDNS service, but the name-servers on the domain were never switched when they were pulled from godaddy.com. But that was a simple click, and done.
