Over the phone, My Trip customer service confirmed that my flight could be changed as I bought the ticket 'flexible'. The agent offered me a flight and said the additional amount to pay was £36, she passed me to a machine and I paid over the phone. I received the confirmation email.
After that, I received additional emails from MyTrip prompting me to pay an extra £56.40, which I stupidly did, as I got confused with another flight. I only saw this payment in my bank account a few days later, then I realized it was another charge for the same flight.
I contacted My Trip, to check the changes, and I asked about the payment, they said 'when the payment was collected that was according to the price sow there however later while rebooking the tickets the prices changes hence the 2nd payment was collected. We are sorry but the prices are dynamic and we do not have control over it'.
I have called several times to customer service *******390, but they do not pass me to the escalation team which gave me the solution. I have requested every time for them to call me back to discuss and the escalation team doesn't call me, I only receive emails with information which are No_Reply emails, there is no communication and I have been left with the solution My Trip agency wants without taking in consideration that I disagree.
I have also requested scripts of all the recorded calls and a complaint case to be open, but again no answer to that.
MyTrip made a mistake by advising me wrongly and not completing the re-booking on time, once I paid the £36 and the confirmation was received; also, I was never advised that the price was subject to changes, therefore I needed to pay extra which I did not agree on those terms.
Shame I read the terrible reviews after all damage was done. I will never use this agency in the future and I am going to spread the word.
They have a "guarantee flight refund" in case their sequence failed. It's a lie. They left me stranded. No updates. Ever. I literally had to figure out my flights by myself with the airline. Plus pay for my hotel and food and their refund promise is bull$#*!. I sent screenshots of my Airbnb/ Starbucks breakfast and they're like it's not proper. AFTER they first lied to me telling me all was okay that they had received my receipt. At follow up I'm finding out they need new things and they want them proper. But, leaving me stranded is proper right? Lol, they are absolutely horrible people. I hope they go out of business soon because there is no care to do things right. Skyscanner lead me to them I will be messaging them too to tell them to stop advertising these horrible scammers.
Purchased LATAM flights in Peru and Ecuador for travel Feb 10-20,2023. Due to a political situation in January, Peru Government issued State of Emergency and US State Department discouraged travel to the affected area. LATAM airline announced free cancellation. Requested cancellation through MyTrip on Jan 27, and again on Feb 5 (after calling the airline and found out the trip was not cancelled), and received cancellation request confirmations twice. Apparently, MyTrip did nothing on both requests. Called again on March 24 and was told the the case had to be 'escalated'. Called May 24 and was told that the trip could not be refunded. The agent refused to provide a written statement about why the trip could not be refunded. This company should get a "ZERO" rating.

Quoted price is very different from the actual price. You will receive successfully booked confirmation and after that they said the airline unable to confirm ticket due to price fluctuations. Let you confirm with higher price.
This third-party airline booking site is an absolute disaster. We were greeted with incompetence right from the start. The first call put us on an eternity of hold. The second time, we encountered a so-called "professional" who was utterly useless. Our disappointment with their website knows no bounds, and we are determined to warn everyone we know to steer clear of this abysmal platform. We are so appalled that we will go out of our way to spread the word and ensure others don't fall into this pit of despair. Avoid this site like the plague; it's a disgrace.

MyTrip has a trick to scam customers.
After booking a ticket, they force the customers to change the flight or cancel it siting changes in schedule or cancellations.
Then they say that the refund has been issued but that never reaches the customer.
I have not seen such a fraudulent international travel company. I got scammed of my money and I just cannot get my refund back. Banging my head to get some action from their support desk.

We had to buy tickets from the airline to prevent being stranded after buying trip through Mytrip.
We did chat with Mytrip customer service but they could only give us the booking numbers we already had from original email. It was the Phu Quoc to Ho Chi Minh flight that was affected. No help what so ever.

We booked flight in January and the airline that we booked through mytrip.com went bankrupt in 27th of February, and we didn't receive any information until the day we went to the airport to check into the flight, and they told us that this flight doesn't exist. Customer service was awful. All they could say is "our system is down" "I apologise""call your bank" "call the airline"
And that they didn't have any information that this company doesn't fly anymore. Even if you check on the flight list, there is no such company.
This company is a joke! We tried for 2 weeks to change our flight from Colombia to Brazil as we bought 2 flexi tickets. First problem is …. YOU CAN NEVER GETTO SPEAK TO THEM!
We had to pay a friend in England to try to change our tickets …. She had no joy either as they kept saying our tickets were not flexible …. Clearly, they were!
They emailed us a link that we could change our flights (2 days before) with an additional cost of £305 …. Which took the total cost to over £700! We attempted to take this ridiculous offer 6 hours later, and the link came back saying it had expired!
We then could not get in touch AGAIN!,
In the end we had to cancel the flights as it got to being within 24 hours of take off!
They then informed us that we would receive nothing back … NOT EVEN OUR FUEL CHARGES!

Charges for extra bags but doesnt provide it on all the flights. Expect to pay extra somewhere in your journey and expect to be treated like an idiot. Lies about your baggage trying to scam you to pay so you could get a backpack to the plane.

Customer support puts you on hold for 15min when they cannot answer your question and replies with vague randomness.

If for some odd reason you book thru mytrip and the airline happens to be Ryanair- remember to check in online 2 hours PRIOR to your flight otherwise you will be penalised.

I have ordered a seat and checked in non of the service was provided to me I Will never order from them again
Ryanair flight was cancelled. Mytrip failed to inform us of this. When we finally found out from ryan air tried to call mytrip to see what to do next. All they did during a hour conversation was accuse me of lying. Saying Ryanair was wrong about their flight and it was still going ahead. Very rude staff. Had to walk the person through looking up the flight on ryanair website. When they realised they were wrong they 'transferred' me. Was on hold for a full hour before I gave up. Avoid this agency!
The company showed that a round trip ticket from Manila to Austin would be $1,241 per person. I entered all the information for 2 passengers and the credit card information. It then told me that the price on the ticket had gone up by $220 and would I accept it. Instead of saying no, I made the mistake of accepting the price change. I immediately called the company to cancel the flights. Even though one can cancel flights at no charge for a 24 hour period they charged me $45 a person, or $90, for administrative fee for the cancellation. HORRIBLE COMPANY!
MINUS 1 Star. Still waiting on my refund (€2,000) for flights cancelled in December 2022. 5 months ago! Disgraceful customer service. They may appear to offer value for money but they are not dependable. Any when things go wrong they wrong their hands of all responsibility.
Flexible ticket is not flexible and not worth the money. I tried to change the time of my ticket and had to argue with the customer service person that I had purchased a flexible ticket. Then I got disconnected. I tried again to change the time of my flight only, not the date, only to be told six days before the flight is not earlier enough and oh yeah! There are limited seats allotted for rebooking. So there is no flexibility in the flexible ticket. And guess what there is no refund for a flexible ticket. So no options.
I don't recommend getting a flexible ticket. And I don't recommend using this provider.
