I am a tenant at one of thee property located in St Charles MO *******. I have put in several Maintenance request in the last week starting with some type of Rodent infestation in my attic. And secondly a major flooding issue in my driveway, Garage, and home. The last time I put a request in for a flooding issue a contractor came out and reviewed the problem and advised that it is out of his scope. He said that it was a structural issue and the only way to fix the problem is outdoor plumbing/Piping. My house sits in a Dip; meaning the house on each side of me are on hills, and every time it rains their water drains into my driveway and yard causing major flooding outdoor and in my home. I have current flooding in my driveway, garage, basement bathroom and stair leading from the basement to the main level. Not to mention the water outside my home blocks me from gaining entry and departure out of my home. What if there is emergency and we can't get out? This Is inhabitable and not very safe. Also, the water in the garage is causing mildew, smell, and mold issues. My daughter has asthma and for health reason it is not safe for her to breathe in this air. When I rented this home, it was not disclosed to me that there was a flooding issue, I feel very deceived. I am hoping someone will call and or reach out to me to get this situation resolved before further action is taken.

DO NOT RENT HERE

I've been living at mainstreet for 1 year and 5 months where I pay almost $2000 in rent and during the duration of my stay it has been the most horrible experience ever. My AC went out in 90 degree weather and they took a week to come and fix even with me having asmtha. On 1/12/23 I came home to a collapsed kitchen ceiling and a flooded home. The house had an ongoing leak way before I moved in on 8/2021 that has caused the kitchen ceiling to collapse and flood my whole house upstairs and downstairs destroying all of my belongings and memories since a child that I could never get back. I cannot use kitchen or water in my house since 1/12/23. Today is 2/1/ 23 and I still haven't heard from any area manager or anyone to remedy situation. My house has grown mold and has mildewed everything causing me to be sick from /breathing the air in the house. I have spoken with mainstreet renewal everyday numerous times, and they say the same thing every time. "We are waiting for the area manager to reach out' which they never do. I promise save your money and DO NOT RENT from this company you will regret it they never respond this company is a SCAM!

Horrible company
December 21, 2020

Moved in Aug of 2020 and have had numerous issues. When we arrived there was no stove or refrigerator. Water poured from underneath the kitchen sink when water was turned on. There was roaches and it also smelled like gas. So after a month and half of living there finally received our stoves and refrigerator ( mind u we have 5 kids). The lights in one of the room wasn't working upon move in date. A/c went out about 2 months after moving in. Had to wait 2 weeks for that to be repaired ( it's was getting up to the 90's when this happened). After that the flooring in one of the room started cracking. They sent out one of their bootleg techs who just came and took pictures. Then about a week later the guys they sent out to repair the floor were high strong smell of marijuana. Now this was Nov 20 something they tore the floor up in the bedroom. The bedroom smells of STRONG mildew and mold and they claimed they seen bed bugs in the wood ( idk how that's possible I think they were tweaking from being high). It's Dec 21 and my floor is STILL tore up and not repaired. Now we have a rodent problem. Was told we will have to pay for our own pest control. The bootleg tech they sent out lied and said he checked entry points for the rodents but lied. Every morning I'm waking up to be inspector gadget for droppings. Remind u I have 5 children and I have asthma as well. My husband and I have been looking for an attorney to get out of this lease. We moved here from Wisconsin and this has been the WORST rental experience we've ever had.

We rented a home from MS Renewal for two years in Tampa Florida. We moved into the new home only to find that the home had not been cleaned prior to our move in date, the landscaping was over grown and the house was in disrepair. Every time we had a maintenance request, we had to pull teeth to get someone to come out. And, when someone did come out, they just came to look at the issue and would then send the lowest bidder out to fix the issue which in most cases didnt fix the issue. Now that we have moved out we finally received our deposit refund only to be shorted over $600 without an explanation. I cannot get anyone to call me back or respond by email. Please do not make the mistake I made by wasting THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS with Mainstreet Renewal.

THEY DON'T COMMUNICATE WORTH A FLIP. THEY HIRED A PLUMBER TO FIX A LEAK (THAT HAD BEEN ON GOING FOR OVER A YEAR THE PLUMBER STATED) NOW THEY WONT FIX THE HOLE THAT THE PLUMBER HAD TO CUT OUT TO GET TO THE LEAK. IM 7 MONTHS PREGNANT AND THEY HAVE MADE ME TAKE OFF WORK 3 TIMES FOR THEM TO "COME FIX" AND WHEN THEY GET THERE, THEY CANT FIX. ITS ABSOLUTELY ABSURD THAT ANY COMPANY WOULD TREAT THEIR TENANTS THIS WAY. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM THEM AGAIN.

Bogus charges on bill and the "billing department" doesn't have a phone number to handle conversations or transactions. Their "billing department" is an outsourced group of ragtag individuals who speak fairly strangely (a fact they leverage against you!) and give you the run around. Under the guise of vetting you are who you say you are or under the guise that your phone isn't coming through clearly (possibly because maybe they're in India) they waste your time dealing with non pertinent issues all to say they "made a note" or "escalated the issue". I've recorded all conversations for bogus charges of about $550 and will update after court proceedings. They will ruin your renter history with bogus charges unless you pay them. If you don't pay it there is also $100 late fees assessed to your account that they may or may not waive. Until the NEXT MONTH WHEN YOU GET ANOTHER ONE.

I have family who also rents from them and they got bogus charges as well that got removed. Shady things are happening here. Use caution, yeah it's hard finding a home but don't inherit a headache if you've read this. You got warned.
Also maintenance is lack luster, gutters fell and got put back sloppily, not even replaced, and as they did they sealed in a LOT of moisture and now we smell mold whenever coming home or first turning on the central air or heat. UGH
We are looking to welcome a newborn in January. SO SCARY!

BY THE WAY THIS IS A NO STAR ****Why I did no tread the comments and reviews before applying with this company! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL! THEY DO NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS. THEY DO NOT FOLLOW UP WITH CUSTOMERS AT ALL! THIS IS JUST BEYOND SAD. WHEN YOU CALL THE APPLICATIONS DEPARTMENT THEY KEEP YOU ON HOLD FOR 30 MINUTES OR MORE THEN WILL HANG UP ON YOU. YOU HAVE TO CALL BACK BE ON HOLD FOR ANOTHER HOUR FOR THEM TO TELL YOU NOTHING! THEY DO NOT KNOW WHATS GOING ON THEY CAN NOT GIVE YOU A UPDATE ON YOUR APPLICATION. THEY WOULD SUGGEST YOU EMAIL THE AGENT IN YOUR REGION FOR THEM TO NOT REPLY BACK OR FOLLOW UP! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLLE! HOW ARE YOU GUYS OPERATING! Emailed the corporate office our 30 day notice on 1 Feb because we were moving out of state. When we were ready to move on 24 Feb corporate office told us to put our keys in an envelope with our name and address on it and put it in the night deposit slot in our local offices door in Bham since we would be leaving in the evening on a Sunday. We could never get a hold of our local office for anything. NOTHING! EVER!
So we did exactly what the said. Put the keys in an envelope with my wife's name on it and the address of the house and put them in the night deposit slot and it landed on the door mat with 2 more white envelopes. Good to go, Right? Um... not at all. 2 months later we get a call from the corporate office stating that we haven't paid rent in 2 months. At this point I'm just a bit confused why this person is telling me this. So they think we still live there. I spend 30 mins explaining this to the corporate office when she connects me to the local office in Bham. She proceeds to tell me that never received the keys and we never turned them in. I'm aggravated as he'll at this point and I proceed to tell her that I did exactly what was asked and required of me. Then she asked me if I had video or photos of me putting the keys in the night drop and of course I don't. She then told me that there's nothing she can do for me and we didn't return our keys and that we have to pay for the 2 months. I'm in the process of obtaining legal help. HORRIBLE CROOKED AS* COMPANY.

Fraudulent charges
April 24, 2022

Do not rent from this company. They charged me a
$550 eviction fee when their app/website turned off my autopay. I was sent to collections for not paying my rent 17 days after it was due with no notice that they did not receive payment. They blocked my account from receiving payments. I've never had a late rent payment, and my credit score is over 800. It took me 3 months to resolve this issue. I wrote emails, called them daily, and even contacted the BBB. You cannot get through to anyone, they do not respond to emails and they connect to you a voicemail or provide a number that's constantly busy. I refused to pay the $550 fee and when I finally got to speak with someone 3 months later I was able to pay rent. When I saw my bank statement I realized the amount was $575 extra so
I requested an invoice. I got 2 emails from them with
The attached invoice, but there was no attachment.
Finally someone send me the attachment and they
Fraudulently charged me $550 for an eviction fee that I did not approve. The other $25 charge was a fee supposedly imposed by the HOA for my lawn. The head of the HOA happens to be my patient who sent a letter to them on my behalf after hearing this saying they never imposed any fines.
I cannot wait to get out of this place. Do yourself a
Favor and look elsewhere for a rental. They are scam artists and will bill you without your approval, even if you refuse.

Wow, do not rent from this company. The home was filthy prior to moving in. Disgusting. I contacted them a few times and they will not respond to me. They had several weeks to have it cleaned. Black mold in the freezer, dirty refrigerator, mouse feces in closets, food stuck on cupboards, drawers not cleaned out, pantry had old food, the house was not painted but putty was put on the walls, dirty floors and baseboards, under the fridge is disgusting, sticky shelves and cupboards, dirty stove, food splatter on walls, unkempt yard, the list literally goes on. A gas fireplace was advertised but it does not work and does not have all the parts. One door won't open and the door nob fell off right away. One door won't close. Transition wood isn't attached and I stabbed my foot on a safety pin on the floor. They literally do not care. I regret my decision to sign with them and am disappointed in their service and quality. I would be disgusted with myself if I ran this company.

Regarding their response of contacting me. I received an email asking for more information and emailed back multiple times. They are the ones that did not respond. They literally don'tok care at all. Take my advice, do not rent from this company!

DO NOT RENT

I'll start by saying from start to finish it has been a diaster dealing with MS renewal. They don't answer maintenance requests in a timely manner. We stayed there 2 years and in 2021 when we first moved there I begged someone to come look at the condition with us and they never came. We had to go through extreme measures of getting rid of bugs and when we moved they give us part of our deposit back stating the paint was damaged the carpet was in bad condition and the reality is I left the house more clean than it was when it was rented to me. Now I'm having to fight about my deposit back when everything they are trying to charge us for is insane. Starting with the small items... Light bulbs that we had to replace when we moved there. HVAC filters that were dirty when we moved that and we replaced at our own expense. Paint and carpet that was never replaced before we got there. It is insane how they do people and I wouldn't recommend them to ANYBODY! Run as far as you can from this company. They are very deceitful!

RUN AND RUN FAST
March 18, 2022

I'm taking them to court they had given me the run around for 3 months and had my deposit for the house. They thought they were going to keep giving me the run around I ask for my deposit back the 4th month and they claim I didn't give them a deposit $2500 dollars I have proof from my bank they got it and I have emails stating they got it. Now I'm sueing them for triple of what I paid. PEOPLE STAY AWAY THEY ARE CONS AND Thieves and will lie. I thank God I didn't move into one of their homes.

I HAD APPLIED FOR 2 HOMES WITH MSN AND THEY TOLD ME SINCE MY APPLICATION WAS NOT APPROVED THAT I WAS GOING TO BE REFUNDED AND WAS NOT IT HAS BEEN A WHOLE YEAR AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT REFUNDED ME YET. THIS COMPANY IS THE WORST I WOULD NOT EVEN RECOMMEND RATS TO INQUIRE ABOUT A HOME FROM MSN THEY ARE VERY UNPROFFESSIONAL TO THE MAX.ALL THEY ALL ABOUT IS GREED FOR MONEY TAKING PEOPLE HARD LIVING AWAY FROM THEM.YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW MSN...REMEMEMBER THAT...

Took our application fee. Credit score is 850 they told us it would be 3/5 days. Waited 10 days wanted us to verify Ss# we submitted proper documents to verify they then came up with with a lie that application had Ss# entered incorrectly. We kept a copy of app, so they lied in disbelief of credit score. We were told approval would be in 24 hours, well, 24 hours they denied the app and kept apo fee. They claimed to send a promo code to re-apply without paying again because property was no longer on market. Another agent says no such thing. Was hung up on, lied to, didn't answer emails, no manager on duty ever. You will be talking to a company that majority of people are in the Caribbean's everyone have a very drastic accent, so they lie to you to get you off the phone. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Whoever the owner are go through the Apps on 3/24/22 you will see our app and was treated with total disrespect for Mainstreet! The employees are handling people via calls with no Respect! Ridiculous! Almost 20 days for getting a inquiry on credit report for NOTHING! Damn LOSERS!

Poor Service

Refrigerator has been leaking and the water is going under the floor causing mold. No action has been taken. Creating unsafe conditions with the increase in mold.
