Very upsetting
March 3, 2023

Paying over 2000 a month. Have been with this company over 3 years. So many problems with the home, that's either considered cosmetic or no maintenance guy can fix. The company doesn't care about their customers, they just want your money

I tried to take care of a lease renewal months before my lease was up. When an issue came up, they disappeared. No one will return my calls or emails. There is no local office to go too, either. It looks like I may have to get legal representation for something they dragged their feet on. Very dissatisfied.

While I was renting a house through this company i started having issues with the pool in April; the filter stopped working, and pool immediately turned into dark green. Called about a dozen times to address the problem and always told something different in the way they were going to handle it. Meanwhile, I kept paying the pool maintenance fee without even being able to use the pool until my leasing was up in August. A Case for a pool fee refund was opened in May and up to today, every time i contact them I am told is "still in progress".

Rip Off

These people took our money and waited the 5 business days to tell us the house that we chose was rented to someone else. It is Friday and the house still shows up as available for rent, so this means people are still able to view and apply for this house over the weekend as we did and then after paying the application fee for a house that is already rented, you will be told it is no longer available. Just wonder how many applications they are collecting money on each weekend. Our world has just gone to hell in a hand bucket. Scams even happen from these big companies. I have been on hold with the corporate office in Austin Tx for almost an hour. Unbelievable.

Everything from the application to approval to first day move in till now 8 months later has been great. The portal is very User friendly Maintenance is always responding as soon as possible and are here by the next day with repairs fixed. Just wanted to give this company a big thumbs up they are doing a great job and their business is only getting bigger, very impressed thank you so much for everything! My family is happy and safe!

Quick ongoing update

Updated review

Drove by our previous rental this weekend, still empty. We did call and a leasing agent told us the house was rented. Still no contact from Main Street Renewal but they did have the nerve to send me a text survey regarding my phone conversation with them? Please note - if you are considering renting with them, please please please do your research and find someone else to rent from.

I believe they are scamming us

In July 2021 we moved to FL from IN and rented a home with MSRenewal. We vacated our lease early in February 2022 as we were able to purchase a home here in Florida. We notified 30 days before, 2 weeks before and when the home was empty. We continued to pay rent, utilities, etc. as we were told they would put the home back up for lease, but we had to pay until they rented it again. (Our lease is up July 2,2022). In March we were told the home was rented, we were cut out of the resident portal and the home was removed from their website showing it was for rent. HOWEVER, if you drive by the home, it is still vacant and they put a for lease sign in the yard but it is broken so it is an EMPTY sign in the yard. It is still not on the website showing it is for rent but if you are smart enough to call them and enter the address it will let you schedule a walk through if you want to rent it. They are NOT trying to rent the house again and I have been emailing for TWO months and I will get an email saying someone will contact me and not a single person has contacted me. Does anyone know if I have any legal rights in Florida if they are still charging me rent? I owned my home in Indiana and this is the first time I have had to rent for over 25 years. Worst experience ever and totally makes me sick to my stomach.

Ledger problem

I moved here in a June 2020 everything was going fine then home ownership changed my ledger has been wrong and jacked up and no one seems to care I call they say they will call back but never do they charge me late fees when my rent is paid before the 5th of each month this is ridiculous and no one there cares to fix this and make it right

We have been without air conditioning for 48 hours and per our lease agreement, if it's over 90 for greater than 4 hours it is considered an emergent situation that requires immediate attention. 48 hours and no plan in place to fix it. I have made over 10 phone calls to MS Renewal to follow-up on the maintenance request without any resolution or relocation options. We have 2 small children and pets and we are in North Carolina where the humidity is at a maximum all day. I have asked to talk to management, nobody calls me. I was promised someone would be out within 24 hours and we are now going on 48 hours and still no plan in place. They will threaten you all day long about what's in the lease agreement, but when you push it back they do NOTHING! Now the fridge/freezer in the kitchen isn't working and we lost an entire appliance worth of food.

Horrible experience
December 16, 2020

Lived in a home that we pay a very substantial amount for lease monthly. We have been without heat for almost 16 days. Requested repairs through maintenance request portal and still haven't seen anyone. Power bill has tripled. Having to use emergency heat. Calling attorney office today. I have lived in this home for not even a year and they HVAC has been messed up since I've moved in. Also other repairs from a water leak never fixed. Plumber never showed from water leak. This is the worst experience ever.

Bad from the jump

Ok let me start by saying Main Street renewal should be ashamed of they self because I just move in my house and the house smells like dogs have been living here for years. The way this house smells would make a person that have somewhere else to go leave and say they want they money back, And if I did I would. Can't really tell if the smell is in the walls or in the carpet. Then first day in here I wake up out myself to find my toilet have been running now my halfway floor and closet close to it is soak and wet.

I want to show my huge gratitude to Mr. Greer. He became my care specialist during a financial hardship and he pushed for me to get assistance and truly became my voice/supporter. Even now with me still not where I want to be he has been doing quality checks and making sure I am good. He is so professional and if can't answer your call due to his workload he will always email you back within a 24-hour time period. If he could be cloned I would because this is by far a more superb delivery of how outstanding customer service should be done and handled. I never felt low with him even in the midst of my defeat. So much greed

This company has literally bought up every home in our city and continues to rent them out for triple what they're worth! They don't know why they can't approve us when we over qualify, also Can't get in most of the homes to look at them and when you do they're dirty and things are falling apart in them, This company is horrible. The reviews on here that are positive are probably paid writers made possible by all the applications they decline.

Horrible.
April 2, 2022

Horrible company. Was charged $400 after someone hit my mailbox. Maintenance came out and put the same damaged mailbox back in the ground. They did not replace it, they used the same mailbox and told me I'm lucky I was only charged $400. Keep in mind a brand new mailbox cost $48 at Home Depot. Here's a pic of the box after the repair ( check out the stick at the bottom to keep it from moving).

No one cares

It has been 6 days with no running water in my home due to a faulty motor for the pump and main street renewal has to say is that 'we will escalate your case and I understand and I'm sorry" no they don't understand and no they're not sorry, this is absolutely ridiculous. I want to work for this company, do nothing and get paid that's a dream come true, cause none of their people do a damn thing to assist their tenants.

Constant charges
December 17, 2022

First when I moved, everything was OK then after being with the company for about three years, I started noticing constant charges on my account. My rental amounts is incorrect, and although I have the proof that it's incorrect, they keep telling me to call different departments there housing department says my ledger is in correct an they will fix it it's 12/16/2022 this has been goin one for months and they won't fix it, but they will keep sending me three day eviction notices. I wish I would have never moved this company. Find somewhere else this company isn't it

Can not actually talk to people that work for the company. Just phone representatives. Charged for plumber coming to our house and never showing up.

Worst company ever!

I don't know how this company is still in business. They are greedy and incompetent to the highest level. The bogus customer service team just gives you the run around when you have an issue. Your issue is never solved. I didn't rent with them. They bought the home I was already renting. It has been a nightmare ever since. They are horrible and they will reap what the sow. They won't be in business very long with way they do "business"

Beware Do Not Rent
November 24, 2021

I drove all the way from Arizona to Atlanta to be welcomed by a rat infested home! Dog crap impeded in carpets and the hime smelling like wet dog. They told me they knew about the rat infestation and the cleaners accidently came before the pest control guy. They sent cleaners to clean and told me they would replace the carpets that needed to be replaced. The cleaners came and didn't clean anything! They put tape over the toilets and airflow freshener in the bathrooms. There is still rat feces all over the home. No cleaning or disinfecting happened! They refused to send anyone back to clean based on the cleaning company their photos and the maintenance guy saying he didn't see any feces. The lady didn't care about my pictures or anything I sent them. They won't reimburse for a cleaning company they are refusing to clean. Now and my kids and I are displaced in a hotel during Thanksgiving through the weekend till we find a new home! Do Not rent from these people you will be sorry!

Worst Company ever!

I have a leaking in my roof and I've been calling them for 2 months now, nothing hasn't been done. I have inches of water every time it rains, I called, their best response" let me email maintenance if the bid was approved " every time I called it was the same answer. My best advice from anyone that's looking for a place to rent, stay the f$&k away from this company. It's not worth the headache and the misery they'll put you through.

Just moved in to a place that was falling apart! The doors are damaged, windows are cracked, there are holes in the walls, and yes there is a cockroach and spider infestation. We were rented this home and basically told to fix it ourselves on several occasions. Awful service!
