Used these guys as a contractor for moving. Movers cancelled two weeks ago. You can't reach moving help because they have no customer service. They have a chat that no one responds to. Need a refund and needing to go through Uhaul to help with that but they are having problems as well. Never use this company... horrible all the way around
Contracted this service for an unload of my effects in Kamloops in late April. Can-ex Truck was the contracted company. I had an extremely hard time reaching Doug Barrett from Can-Ex to confirm unload time. When reached he said he would call me back. He never did. On the day of the unload no-one from Can-Ex showed up and no-one from Can-Ex answered their phone or text message. I had to scramble to find my own help. Can-Ex should never be used for moving assistance of any kind.
I just used this service this weekend to move my daughter out of her college premises into an apartment. I originally ordered 2 men for 2 hours, but 3 showed up. I was not charged extra for the additional man. The young men were very nice and did not waste any time moving her stuff. Nothing was broken. They followed my directions. They kept to their allotted time of 2 hours. I tipped them because I was very pleased with their work and I assumed they were basically working for tips. I would definitely recommend them. I had used this service provided by UHaul 2 years ago and had a similar positive experience.
In early July of this year I scheduled moving servie through movinghelp.com online for a price of $545. That service called me that night and said they could not do it for the online price, and it would cost three times as much. I cancelled the service, and scheduled my move through other movers. The charge remained on my card so I reported it as fraudulent. Two months later, my bank returned that money to movinghelp.com on the grounds that movinghelp.com provided my online "terms and services" agreement. This is despite the fact that these services were never rendered. I now have a negative balance of over $500 because I have moved and transferred my funds to another bank.
NO SHOW. NO REVIEW. My confirmed moving help did not show up to perform the service. The cost was refunded, but I was not able to leave a poor review for the company on the movinghelp.com website.

I hired movers through the MovingHelp.com site and the company that moved my furniture scratched my brand new wood floors. I attempted to use the MovingHelp.com "resolution center" website to work with Mckoymovers.com to resolve the issue and after 2 months of communicating, MovingHelp.com shut down all communication between me and the McKoy movers. I contacted their online chat and "Andrea" - who said she was a manager, and she stated that she can't open a case once its closed. I asked her to assist further because I wasn't able to get a resolution through the vendor and she stated there was nothing else she could do and that I should contact the vendor directly. Of course I had already attempted this with no response for 2 months. This company is very unprofessional. I have never dealt with someone so unprofessional. "Andrea" even ended the chat before I was finished with the conversation. DO NOT USE MOVINGHELP.com!
The plan has changed and the operator of Moving Helper that she was responsible to arrange the new schedule for me, She acts was so rude and when I asked her how could I cancel the service? She said I don't know, go and find it by yourself on the website. I was wondering what a reason you are working there If you are not aware of your service you provide it.
Used MovingHelp to hire two movers for two hours. The mover sent one person and they were 2 hours late. The mover told me they would issue a credit for half of the moving charge but never did. I disputed half the charge with my credit card company and MovingHelp refused the dispute. MovingHelp's response was that it wasn't their issue even though my payment went directly to MovingHelp. They appear to be a money laundering scheme for small disreputable movers and told me to sue the the moving vendor they matched me up with. Complete scam!
But ppl failed to talk about the customers that try to scam the moving providers by booking a quick 2 hr load/unload and swear up and down they just need "help" putting a couple items on the truck. Once you arrive to the origin the customer has absolutely done nothing and than wants the movers pack and loaf the house than unload at the destination all under 2hrs, they knew damn well the job was gonna take more 2hrs, once you inform the customer the job is going to take longer and that cost, the customer throws a freaking tantrum about not wanting to pay extra and questions the movers moving exp and crying about not being professionals boo hoo. Look it at on both sides
I was double charged. And they will not refund my money. Do not tip in cash. It's a total nightmare to try and talk to anyone its nothing but a run around. So you just eat the cost they gouged out by a BOGUS review websight!
I booked a move through MovingHelp and called the company a couple of days before to confirm my move. The day of the move comes and no one shows up, I call many times and they never answer, and don't accept voicemail. I also emailed with no response. I ended up having to book last minute movers which ended up costing me much more than it would have if I had booked with them from the beginning, and of course also resulted in my move being completely messed up. This website also won't even let me leave a review for the company I booked, so future clients will have no idea.
Do not hire Moving Help of U-Haul. They are fraud. They do not show up, do not provide services and do not refund money. I hired Moving help to unload U-Haul truck. They did not show up. When I called them, they told me to cancel the services. I had to hire another moving services. Had to take another day off. Paid premium for emergency services. Paid one additional day rent of the U-Haul truck. Moving Help will not refund my money. They told me to contact the movers. Movers told me that Moving Help did not pay them money. Moving help gave me a code to give movers when service is completed. Movers did not show up and I did not give them code. Without code they are not paid.
They charged me, never sent a confirmation, don't have a number to call, and the "person" I chatted with online never once apologized for essentially having taken my money and provided no service. It took 4 times of me asking this person for a number to call before she gave it to me. Still no apology for the trouble. I don't have my money back.
Yes I work as a contractor for movinghelp.com. For 5 years we have worked in unsafe conditions we cannot complain we just get a run around we have customers cheats by set jobs as 1 bd apt Sent they are 4bd homes. We do all the work and 15% is take from us. We basically get no support. I have jobs that no ever a swerve the phone and we have eat the costs of this. Or phone number is invalid

This unprofessional and dishonest behavior totally broke the business integrity of Movinghelp.com, and caused a series of disappointing chain reactions of my moving. I paid $160 for the hotel, $600 for the emergency moving help, and $220 for overtime fee for van rental. The VIP credits you provided are not okay to make up for my economic loss and huge disappointment. I request a fair solution for this misbehave and request reimbursements of all the extra expenses caused by this unprofessional service!
These gentleman were professional, prompt, and courteous. They treated my belongings as though they were their own. I would recommend these guys to my closest friends and family and that says alot. In todays world its nice to actually have some customer service. Thanks guys for the help!
My mover Changing Family Movers Atlanta canceled last minute, and because of that I ended up with a truck reservation that nobody is willing to refund, or give discounts for. It is absolutely affiliated with Uhaul, use the same infrastructure, but they are somehow not responsible for each other. Customer service is full of clueless people and they dont care about you at all. Choose other companies.
To be clear let me start off by saying that I did bookhelpmovinghelp.com two years ago and that went off without a hitch.
This year it was an entirely different experience my movers didn't show up and I could not get a hold of them after an hour wait time with movinghelp.com they re-booked me second set of movers at an additional hundred dollars price, of whom also did not show up. Granted this is on the part of the movers really however trying to communicate and get my money back from movinghelp.com and getting them to take any ownership phone has been a nightmare. What is the point of booking through an agency if there's no guarantees or help? Additionally the website is useless, slow and glitchy, customer service leaves a lot to be desired, never have I been so disappointed in some thing that I planned so thoroughly.
As noted by others - first the CHAT is BS. Never answered after trying 3 different days and time.
Requested help, got billed and an add-on fee - then the movers didn't show. Calls to the movers that were supposed to show go to voicemail.
THere isn't any phone number for this company - thankfully someone else did legwork and gave a number *******110 which did get to a voice mail system at movinghelp.com. Their voicemail does link them to Uhaul as a parent company - so thats something. Arizona time, open til 3:30p but what a disaster this was.
Hired help at both ends of move. Was charged as sos as set up reservations. Received confirmation at set up. Day to move the help never showed. Called contact number and got message voicemail wasn't set up. Never could get through. Tried contacting Movinghelp and was difficult. No number, sent message which referred to website. On moving to new location verified 2 days before that we were scheduled. Received text morning of that they would be late. We were scheduled at 9 am. Hubby, son and son's friend started unloading truck almost done and helped still not there. Texted him and said 30 minutes out. Said we could cancel which we did. On website was finally able to cancel both moves. Contacted credit card to issue dispute. Would NEVER use this company again! Very stressful move.
Answer: Do not use these people. They don't care if they ruin your furniture. They are very inexperienced, and are a total rip off! Don't believe what you read about them on MovingHelp, that's completely false!
Answer: A good moving company is Almighty Movers. I used them before and they are professional, did a great job, and do not overcharge. I about to move again, and will be using them again for sure! You can count on them for help.
